This is a nice hotel, perhaps too big. The best characteristic is its location. The breakfast service was good, with a lot of options. We had a bedroom for 2 adults + our two children, it was very big and confortable, although the bathroom could be better.

We had a huge suite at the front of the hotel facing the Place de la Republique. Nice to watch the hustle and bustle of daily life from the windows. Was it noisy - no, not at all with the window shut outside noise could not be heard. Staff and service very good. Excellent location for getting out and seeing Paris on foot or to go to Metro etc Nice little park a short walk at the back. I would definitely stay here again.

This was a nice hotel and fitted our requirements of 3 adults in 1 room with 2 double beds. It was clean and quiet because we had a room on the back. Not the hotels fault but beware, Republique is the focus of all protests in Paris. There were demonstrations every day/night. The worst of which was the day we left when we couldn't get back to the hotel to get our bags as the whole square was guarded by armed police and there was a full on demo going on. I therefore wouldnt book this hotel again... Read more

Confortable, good sized rooms, with large window views to an indoor courtyard. Very close to the Republique metro station. Lots pf cafes and bistros nearby to grab a quick breakfast or dinner. Rooms are quiet, even though it is a bustling location

I stayed here as a part of a graduate school study abroad trip to Paris for a few days. The hotel is centrally located with great access to transportation and a close walk to great shopping and restaurants. I have a disability that requires the use of a wheelchair and a room that is completely accessible. This hotel did not disappoint in that area and the room was perfectly accessible for me, including the shower and layout of the bathroom. The room was clean and quiet with comfortable beds. B... After umpteen trips to Paris, by chance we made our reservation at the Crowne Plaza Paris Republique. And while Paris was already our favorite city in the world, our stay there simply added to the luster. The Place de la Republique is fun, and provides good observation of the locals, not to mention realizing that this is spot where the world experienced "Je suis Charlie!" The side streets are full of interesting stores and cafes and the Canal Saint Martin is easily accessible. Best of all is... Read more

It's a nice hotel but not so perfect. Most of the staff looks unhappy and cold. I liked our Club Room. So clean but a bit cold cause of weather during our stay and they provide us a heater. It's beside the beautiful republique square. So close to everywhere in Paris! We went to most of the sites just by walking. Generally I was satisfied with my staying in this hotel.

Travelled on business and have to say that it was a disappointing venue despite being in such a grand location. The hotel staff do not warn you about the nightly protests in the square opposite so when you start to see the crowds gather and the CRS riot squads arrive you get a little alarmed - however it is more of a spectator sport than it is civil unrest, so it is an interesting view, albeit one that is unexpected! The food in the hotel was of average quality only, the prices for drinks and ac... Read more

In all fairness this hotel does it's very utmost to please all guests. I have read remarks about the demonstrations etc but the hotel is absolutely safe and doing fine delivering the Crowne plaza brand promise. Location is not only spot when looking for a lively place with hustle&bustle of day-to-day Parisian live but also perfect to explore Paris by public transport or on foot. Newly renovated rooms on the 4th floor are available for a little supplement besides family rooms and club rooms M... Read more

We stayed in this hotel for five days. We were allowed to check-in four hours earlier free of charge. The lady at the reception was extremely helpful and pleasant. The room was in a very good shape and spacious. The breakfast was great. The location is ideal. The subway station is steps away. The city tour bus station is also within a two-minute walk. Unfortunately, the hotel had no swimming pool, but that is rare in Western Europe. I strongly recommend it.

I was here for five nights and ended up having two different rooms. First room overlooked plaza de republique which was nice until the protests start and don't end until 2-3 in the morning--impossible to sleep with the horns going on, music, etc. Ended up moving rooms on night 3 at 2:00AM. Second room was quiet--so ask for something away from the plaza. The bar service is SLOW but they have a nice patio out front to sit. There were extra minibar charges on my invoice and I didn't notice it u... Read more

I spent a week at the Crown Plaza Republiqe together with a large number of colleagues of mine. My experience with the hotel hasn't been an exciting one.... The rooms are quite small, no slippers, for two times they forgot to replace the shampo and shower gel.... breakfast is good, service is nice. The lounge area was under renovation in the days I've spent there.

The staff are very helpful especially the concierge we had lots off luggage and boxes due to a business trip, and they helped us take everything to our room. The rooms are very small, we was on the fourth floor which has been apparently renovated quite recently. The windows are horribly thin, 3 nights out of our 4 night stay we were woken up by loud shouting screaming from people leaving bars across the street. One morning at 3.30am a group of boys were playing football against a wall and loud... Read more

Little things like the easy sleep aromatherapy kit ...lovely cute toiletries etc made me come back for my second visit to this hotel. This time around the hotel cut back on most of their small services...sad to note. However the breakfast is good, they can add and change the menu a bit though....after four breakfasts one can't take the same menu every morning . The cleanliness n rooms are great. Concierge service impeccable. Enjoyed my stay again.

My first review of this place was removed because I used some actual correspondence with the hotel regarding the disappointing stay. Do not stay here. This hotel choice was one of the worst mistakes I've ever made in booking a hotel in a lifetime of traveling. Both my wife and daughter ended up with insect bites over their arms and legs. Coincidentally, they were sharing a bed. Sounds like bedbugs to me despite the hotel's repeated insistence that it was not. To make matters worse, in both the... Read more

We have stayed at this hotel as it was recommended to be consistent. Indeed, the hotel room was spacious and breakfast service was decent with easy access to metro lines. We were very pleased to be able to access our room early. The room facing interior court was particularly quiet with most comfortable beds, something difficult to find in Paris. Our disappointment was that the clubroom was under renovation. So we had to receive beverage service and work in the bar area. This was inconvenient a... Read more

I came here for the first time and I am spending a week now at the hotel. Prices are decent. The team is very welcoming, helpful and professional. My room is comfortable and clean with a view on "place de la republique"... that also comes with a bit of noise but it isnt a big issue unless one would have a very light sleep. It isnt my case. Breakfast is good (not exceptio al but complete) The hotel is 100m from metro station on a central line. The good point here is the quality of service.... Read more

Stayed here for 2 nights only unfortunately. Its a lovely hotel and I really recommend it. We were in room 208 overlooking Place de la Republique and it was really interesting seeing the comings and goings. The breakfasts were lovely, well above average. The nearest metro is about 50 yards away. The bed was comfy, the biggest TV Ive ever seen and a great breakfast. Would like to say a special thanks to the chap on the concierge desk, thanks for all your help, we really appreciated it. Would cer... Read more

Fantastic trip and the hotel could not be placed any better, in Place de la Republique, where six metro lines stop hence you are only few minutes from almost anywhere in Paris. Notre Dame, and the Louvre are within walking distance and there is a very spacious car park (if you are travelling by car like we did) just behind the hotel although it's not free. We were also lucky to find a good offer so the stay was also very good value for money.

Crowne Plaza (Republique) is located in the heart of Paris. Its just 5 mins drive from the Gare du Nord station (Eurostar trains). Also the Metro is easily accessible with a short walk. We are family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids) and had a great time at the Crowne Plaza. The staff and concierge were very friendly and helpful. We took a superior room (double queen beds) facing the inner court yard on the 4th floor. The room overall was great, away from the noise of the Protestors opposite the hotel(but... Read more

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Crowne Plaza Paris Republique. The service was exceptional. No worries if you don't speak French they all speak varied languages. Do request an interior room facing the courtyard. If you face the street it can be quite noisy with the traffic and the kids hanging in the square. The room is small and charming. It's clean and has everything you need. The concierge is knowledgable and so helpful. When our espresso machine in the room broke they sent two comp... Read more

Stayed here with the wife and kids (10/12) for one night as we were traveling through Paris on our way to Italy. Upgraded to a suite and the room was very nice. Spacious, clean and comfortable. We didn't spend much time at the hotel other than to sleep as we were out and about visiting the tourist sites. The staff was very helpful, spoke perfect English and were generally pleasant to deal with. A couple of decent restaurants in the area and a creperie across the street. Was turned off by a... We have arrived at the hotel around 13.40 from the airport. The IHG staff told me that the room is not yet ready, which is what I also expected and didn't bother for an early check-in request. I was told by the nice lady at the reception said it will be ready at 3pm from the standard check-in time. Which is ok, since we can leave our luggage and we can look for some place to eat. Very nice central hotel. Staff courteous, room clean and fresh, only drawback was had to keep asking for teabags, never any in room despite being promised. The outside square is vibrant and very noisy especially after France beat Germany. Breakfast was lush with a whole ray of cuisine. I would recommend to friends.

I did not mean that in a negative way. It is a great hotel. Just remember what goes on across the street every day. When we registered we asked for a quiet room. Our room was upgraded and in a very quiet area of the hotel. We knew of the extra activity around the hotel when we booked the room and so there were no surprises during our stay.

The rooms are clean but a bit dated. The reception lobby and Resturant are more modern and the food is great. We stayed for 7 nights and had a great time most of this was down to the location. The hotel is right next to the Metro but I'd you wanted to walk to the Lourve it's a nice 35 minute walk. The breakfast is a bit pricey, 25 euros, but there are some good bakeries nearby which you can get a decent breakfast for 5 euros.
