Hotel Abbatial was a great value and great location. It was extremely comfortable and the staff were helpful and pleasant. Close to Notre Dame and other sights, close to metro and in a great area with restaurants and shops. Our room was lovely. They also had breakfast which wasn't extensive but with great coffee, croissants and other basics. I definitely recommend to others.

Hotel Abattial: I have travelled quite a bit internationally and overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel, with a few small negatives you should be aware of: First, sometimes you feel a hotel‚??s pictures represent it well, other times not so much. This is one where the pictures made it seem a bit more fancy than it is ‚?? this is nit-pick, but the walls were quite scuffed, paint chipped, the carpets didn‚??t always seem vacuumed, and if you were to look closely, the baseboards had not ... As always, I'll begin with the positives. The room was clean, the bathroom especially, and the location is spot on. Unfortunately we were placed in a room that should only fit one person - There's two of us in here. We barely fit on the bed and have to lay head to toe! Added to this the air conditioner isn't working and it's very warm. There's no tea or coffee making facilities in this room, and the elevator only fits one person at a time with luggage. The staff are friendly but the room isn't ... Read more

Have used this hotel twice now and have had a consistent experience: clean rooms, attentive and helpful staff, and good value. The location is ideal for us. We are able to walk all day and this location puts you within walking distance of most of the top tourist sights. Also makes it easy to find a spot off the beaten path for a nice neighborhood cafe experience. The rooms are small, but that's what I expect in Paris. The beds are comfortable and inviting.

Hotel Abbatial Saint Germain is a small and beautiful hotel in an atmospheric area. It has a very ideal location: nearby metrostation Maubert-Mutualité, the magnificent Sainte-Chapelle, the stunning Notre Dame, Pont Neuf, bookstore Shakespeare and Company and many many small and lovely food restaurants! Take a walk on the Isle of Cité and don't forget to visit the flowermarket behind metrostation Cité. And very important: I like to thank once more the nice and friendly gentleman of the recept... Great location just a few blocks from the river and not far from Notre Dame. It truly is a great spot, an easy walk to metro, bus stations, and Pont Neuf, with an excellent market across the road. The rooms are typical of Paris, small, but manageable for a family of four. We booked two connecting rooms. Our third visit to Paris.

When we arrived and took a look at the room it wasn't the same as the picture at all. When I approached the receptionist about it she laughed and told me they have no more rooms left and a refund is not an option. The walls in the room were paper thin so you could hear people in the rooms next to you all night as well as police sirens so we failed to even get one nights sleep. I thought this was very unacceptable and unprofessional. I later asked for an iron for my room I was directed down stair... Read more

This was my third stay in this hotel, and it is always clean, quiet, atmospheric, and staffed by helpful and friendly people. The views are amazing! As a history lover, I appreciate the ancient timbers and breakfast in the undercroft. There are plenty of nearby restaurants and stores. The Metro is 1.5 blocks away, the river is 1 block away, and the bridge to the back of Notre Dame is also 1 block away. Many sites, such as the Pantheon and Musee Cluny, are a doable walk, even for those with ... Read more

This is a very central location to explore Paris. Very friendly and helpful staff . I have a food allergy and the lady cook cooked me a special breakfast each morning. We were on the 6th floor with a great view over the city. However for people with a walking difficulty they should get a room on a lower floor. The stairs are very windy and whereas there is a lift it is very small and barely takes 2 people with hand luggage. The hotel only serves breakfast but there are 2 restaurant on either sid... I visited Paris to attend a concert with friends and booked this hotel because it was a short walk from their daughters apartment. Well I was pleased I did as it was easy to get to from Paris CDG on the RER line B. The room was compact but comfortable and with great views over the rooftops towards Notre Same additionally the staff were friendly and helpful.

We stayed on the top floor. The room was a bit small with two beds and a desk, but it worked out fine for us. The bathroom was very clean. Weird choice of shampoo. It was rosemary and thyme scented. Smelled like I was cooking a chicken. Sorry, I digress. There was one window with no view at all. The other window opened to a small balcony-type structure with an amazing view of Notre Damn, which is less than a five minute walk once you figure out which way to go. The elevator - I don't think th... Read more

We just stayed at this property for three nights while in Paris and we were impressed with what it had to offer. The good: Location - right near Notre Dame, pantheon, and the Latin quarter. 10 min walking distance to RER B station St Michel-Notre Dame which takes you to the airport. Literally a 3 minute walk to the Metro station on line 10. Lots of restaurants, bars within a 5-10 minute walk. Staff - super friendly and helped us with whatever questions we had. This is a nice little 'nich' hotel tucked away among a row of buildings, at first glance you might not see the entrance. This hotel ideally located on a main thoroughfare in the "rive gauche" or better known as the 'left bank'. It is a quite area that has easy access to several Metro's that will get you anyway in Paris you can think of. Some of the Metro's require a short walk because in Paris one Metro does not serve all locations. We took a short walk over the Seine and was at Notre Dame in a ... Read more

Fantastic location; just a couple of minutes from Notre Dame. Tons of food places and shops in the immediate area. The staff were so helpful and knowledgable. They all spoke English brilliantly which helped a lot. The metro was very close by. Approx 2 minutes from the nearest station. We didn't eat breakfast there as there were so many pattiseries nearby. The room was on the small side but not too bad. It was clean and comfortable. There was some road noise but that's to be expected in a c... Read more

We accompanied our friend of fifty plus years to Paris so that she could have at least one more time in the city that has meant so much to her. She stayed at the Hotel Abbatial Saint-Germain for a week; we joined her there for the last night of our stay. We had recommended the hotel as a result of a previous stay there a few years ago. All three of us were very pleased with the accommodations. The rooms are spotless and compact. There is a large bed, a desk, closets, and this time around windows... Read more

This small hotel is situated perfectly. A two block walk to Notre Dame, and many other sights. Boulevard Saint Germain has wonderful shops, and there are many food shops to get picnic fixings from. The best rated baguette in Paris is less than a block away. Saturday morning there is a farmers market near by with wonderful local vendors. The rooms are small, but very comfortable. (After all, you are in Paris. There is no need to stay In your room.) The staff are great and very helpful wit... Read more

We stayed at this hotel with a fried while visiting Paris a couple of days. The hotel is in excellent shape, well maintained, clean, cozy and has everything you need for a stay in Paris. The location is absolutely perfect. Easy to get there by metro from the Airport or Train stations and in the perfect spot of Paris to walk around. The rooms, as in all hotels in this area, are quite small but it is still just what you need. We did not have breakfast at the hotel... with so many cafes around, one... Read more

Stayed here for 3 nights. Staff were very nice and helpful. Room was nice enough, however nothing fancy. The bed was comfy and the aircon was much appreciated in the full heat of summer! The lift is TINY so if you're relying on it just be aware you'll only get 1/2 people in it (2 at a squished push). The location was perfect, only a 5 minute walk from Notre Dame. The only view we had was off a wall and other windows which was a bit of a shame, but not the end of the world.

We got 2 rooms. One of them was the one in the photo, double looking at the Main Street and 2 terraces. Perfect but small. The other was on the 4th floor it had problems with smells coming from the apartments on the other buildings and a lot of noise. It is excellent located. 5 min walk to Notre Dame. Next to quarter Latin with a lot of restaurants. There is something new. There is a stop of Bateau Bus. It's a boat that goes around the river and you can use it all day long for a single price. Having stayed at Hotel Abbatial twice before I was very disappointed to find we had been allocated a room which faced over the central courtyard and bin area. The previous rooms I'd stayed in looked towards the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame. I asked if we could move but unfortunately the hotel was fully booked. I soon realised we'd actually been quite lucky to have this room. It was so quiet in spite of the busy area. The bed very comfortable and the bathroom very well appointed. The staff a... Read more

My wife and I spent a week in Paris and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Abbatial Saint Germain. Our room was comfortable and clean and bigger that we expected for Paris. The optional breakfasts were great value. The hotel is less than 1km from Notre Dame Cathedral and close to the excellent Latin Quarter restaurant and cafe precinct.

I stayed for two weeks in the Hotel Abbatial and had a wonderful visit. The room (although small) was very comfortable, clean and entirely sufficient for my needs. There was air conditioning which I only used a couple times as the breezes were pleasant at night. The small refrigerator was adequate for keeping a small amount of snack/picnic food. The shower and tub were generous and worked well. The location (a block south of Notre Dame) was great for walking the Quartier Latin and the met... Read more

The most lasting impression I have of our stay at the Abbatial Saint Germain is the 'privileged' view I had of the dome of the Pantheon from my room. I would leave the curtains open so I could look at it from my bed at night (I am an incurable romantic). It's a classic and grandiose building cum mausoleum with beautiful architecture and only about a ten-minute walk away. I loved the little balcony running along the length of the room right to the bathroom. The church of Saint-Nicolas du Chardon... Read more

The hotel is a few minutes walk from Notre Dame Cathedral. Staff are welcoming and helpful. The room, like many in Europe, was small but efficiently laid out so that it felt larger than it was. The bathroom was larger than many and well equipped. Although the hotel is on a major street we had no difficulty with noise. The neighborhood has many restaurants and cafes.
