From outside looks well but inside a little old fashioned and worn looking.room was ample size but basic.rather smelly of sewer system in mornings.breakfast was too expensive for what we got at 15€ per person.staff was good and pleasant and helpful.well situated but not great value.

September 2014 holidays. I went travelling with my parents and my partner to Europe, Italy and London. We went visiting Monaco for a day trip, while being in Nice. The amount of planes that we saw in the sky that were flying high every day, all the time. Best amazing time I have had, not just in the luxurious hotel but everywhere.

What a shame that some attention is not given to this tired old grand dame on the promenade. What a shame that the attitude of the staff is not improved . The breakfast dreadful , if you are not there early and a breakfast items has finished, well it has finished and not refreshed . Accommodation cheap for its position but you get what you pay for. Very sad!

This is the 3rd time I have stayed in this hotel and I am never disappointed . I booked a seaview this time as the inside rooms can be a little dull , and I decided to splash out . Definitely worth it as you wake up to a wonderful view , the sea lapping on the shore and we had a small balcony to sit out on . ( 5th Floor ) . Breakfast is varied , with scrambled egg for the first time but it was always cold . Boil your own egg , croissant and pain au chocolat , proper French bread . That would be... Read more

The hotel is located on the most famous street of Nice, Promenade des Anglais, just a couple of meters from the Mediterranean, close to the Old Town, train station, shops and restaurants. It is an old hotel in an old building, so the previous comment about 1930's movie is not that far from truth. The reception is very friendly. The room is not exactly royal, but it fully meets the 3 * standards. I can recommend this hotel.

Got a rental car from Nice airport so to visit Monte Carlo and Grass(perfume making class). Parked next to hotel for about $20/night. Our early checkin request was honored by the friendly front desk staff The sound of water agaist the pepple coast is perfectly audible from the room. Truly a Jewel on the Mediteranian! The red checkered table cloth coffee shop to the right of the hotel, Bellote, served by the sweetest hostess that knew all our orders the next morning we visited the shop and g... Read more

The hotel is right on the promenade and was a great place to stay for our first few nights in Nice. The rooms are dated but comfortable and the aircon didn't work, however the hotel is quite charming and we sat on the sun terrace out the front each evening and watched people go by. The staff were fantastic- particularly Anthony who was extremely helpful with giving directions and bus info. A good hotel, but for the price, there are better places to stay in Nice.
