The Kyriad Nice Port is very central and 'does what it says on the tin'. Good, clean and functional, with friendly staff, reasonably priced and dose not pretend otherwise. I would recommend it. Its main attraction is it's proximity to the tram and bus service. Catch a bus to Monte Carlo for ?1.50 - great value and lovely scenic route - 40 minutes.

Stayed here for 6 nights in April 2016. Got a very good deal (?372 incl B&B) so couldn't pass it. Double room was extremely small but bed was clean & comfortable. Room was cleaned daily and re-supplied with bars of soap & shower gel/shampoo sachets. Shower was good and TV had good selection of channels. Free Wifi good in room also. Air conditioning not very good. There was a welcome bottle of water and a "welcome Tray" which was complimentary on the first night and could be refilled daily if r... Read more

Great location- love Lovely restaurants and cafes close by. Very close to airport bus stop for 98 ( except it was on strike the whole time we were there). We asked for top floor and got a top floor room. Very clean. Nice breakfast and friendly staff. Because of the bus strike, reception was helpful in recommending another bus ( rather than taxi ). Close to the Port area- nice marina and easy access to the Castle area and old quarter. Will be back!

The room was very small, but clean, and the bed was very comfortable. There was only a small window which was blocked from construction, and it couldn't be opened. The room also had an espresso machine, but it didn't work. However, the room was very good for one night stay, and the receptionist was very kind and friendly. A nice touch: we had candies on our pillows!

Stayed at this hotel the last two years. It's pretty central being near the old town and the buses and trams. It's a basic hotel but the rooms are clean and at the end of the day it's just a place to rest your head. The breakfast is the same every morning but it's perfectly adequate and there's plenty of it. The orange juice (freshly squeezed) and the coffee (from the machine) are particularly good! The staff at reception are particularly helpful and take time answering your questions.

The hotel is well positioned and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The rooms are basic, but they are clean and the A/C worked well. The room decor is a little tired but for the price they are fine. There are numerous cafes near by and it is a short walk to the station and tram stop. Our room was on the 7th floor an pretty quiet.

Centrally located, in one of the less busy streets. We had a nightmare driving to the hotel, the one way system, road closures and building works proved to be a test. If you need parking, book in advance! The streets are free but it's near impossible to find a space. There is a large car park near the modern art gallery that is a few minutes walk away, just under 20? for the night. The outside of the hotel is in keeping with the surrounding buildings. The staff were polite and helpful. The roo... Read more

Stayed here for one night during a business trip to Monaco. Hotel is basic, relatively clean but comfortable never the less. Rooms are very small but a bonus for a hotel of this standard is that rooms come with a kettle and coffee/tea. Air con in my room worked ok which is appreciated as opening the window in any centrally located Nice hotel is a no no. The constant drone from scooters flying around makes me wonder if it's better to sleep at the end of Nice airport's main runway! Parki... Read more

Overnight stay during Euro's. This hotel is prob best suited to a stag do. Two single beds in a dated room that looked like a cheap student beds it. Bathroom facilities dated and tired. Would not pay the Euro 2016 price tag any other time. Bed itself was clean and surprisingly comfortable. Staff were friendly and hospitable. Parking is available underground at the site for 11 euro which was well worth paying as it appears difficult to park in the area. Some reasonable bars and restaurants nearby... Read more

The Reception staff were fairly friendly, the room was small but it is centrally located and it was a place to put down your weary bones after a busy day sightseeing. To actually get to the hotel was a bit difficult as there is a lot of one way streets, and the impatient local drivers don't help the situation with their tooting of horns because you aren't moving fast enough. Since the bombings in France the free WiFi is restricted to one piece of technology and it is password protected.

Reception very helpful. Room fine and clean. Answered all the queries that I had about getting to the port and airport, etc. Also arranged for early breakfast as I was leaving hotel before normal breakfast time. Good for a one night stop-over. Location good too and pretty central. No issues with the room or hotel. Would definately recommend for a short stay. The hotel is functional and was a decent price.

Have just came back from this resort and hotel, first the negatives. Had read on trip advisor that the rooms were small so was expecting that, our room was small but the problem was there was no drawers, the wardrobe was smaller than a u.k. Single one ( didn't know you could get them this small) so we had to leave clothes in our suit case. The room had a large desk with a coffee maker, they should get rid of desk, have a small table and a set of drawers ( with coffee maker on if needed) there w... Read more

Positive Points: Extremely good location, very comfortable bed, room clean. Caroline on reception really helpful. Negative Points: Room very small, bathroom small, shower poor. Breakfast extremely disappointing and very basic with cold croissants, pain au chocolat, and bagettes tasting a day old at least. Croissants and pain au chocolat should be crisp but these were soft and lacking. Some mornings they ran out of certain foods: boiled eggs, or bacon etc., and this was not late in the mornin... Probably a two star hotel but breakfast good and perfectly situated central to all that nice has to offer, rooms as big as most city break hotels, some rooms look on to walls but some have a view over the city, me and my wife have stayed in both. The real selling point is the position as it is nearly beside a lovely square called place garibaldi and a short walk from the marina, the old town, the flower market, the beach, the shops and the train station.

Started by checking in and finding to our disgust that one of the towels was dirty. Then when asking the man at reception quite late at night if there was any food available near by (to which he responded "dunno") and then have him aggressively tell us that we cannot leave to hotel late at night - apparently because he could not be bothered letting us in (isn't the whole point of having a hotel to be able to explore the city and the nightlife?) I am very disappointed in what we got for the money we payed. I've been staying in Backpacker Inn's and Dormitories that looked better and was better equipped than the room we stayed in. The hotel is basic and the room is very small with an extremely uncomfortable bed. When going for a shower you have to hold the shower head in your hand while showering, because of the bracket on the wall, where the shower head attaches, being worn out. Also, the water does not stay to temperature. The one m... Read more

We got a really good price for three nights at this hotel. Upon walking in we were taken a back by how small the room was but seeing as it was really just somewhere to sleep it didn't matter in the end. We ate the buffet breakfast each morning and were quite impressed. Lots of options from cereal to toast to fruit and yoghurt as well as boiled eggs and hot and cold meats, definitely saved us a lot of money. The location is good, close to heaps of eateries and the water as well. I absolutely love... Read more

The rooms are very small, dated and the bathroom was damaged. The mirror in the bathroom had some much rust on it that it was basically useless. The shower was in similar condition. The only good thing about this hotel is the location, only a 5 minute walk from some really nice bars and restaurants and just a little further to the beach.

We stayed here for 2 nights and found the hotel to be very disappointing in many aspects. The breakfast was an absolute joke. The rooms were so small it was difficult to fit the bags in and get around the bed. The shower fluctuated in temperature so much it was difficult to have a shower. The location of the hotel was ok, it's still a decent walk into the main area of Nice and to the beach.

Hotel in good location in Old Town area and near the Port also numerous restaurants, cafes.Very good breakfast, room smallish size but kept clean and comfortable and bathroom in good condition.Just one wardrobe for clothes could possibly do away with the table to allow for some drawers for more clothes however this is not a real problem as my wife and I managed.

Kyraid Nice Port is a great, central hotel! We found the place so easily (a 5 minute walk from the train station) and we're delighted with the service and hotel room. The bed was super comfy with amazing pillows and the daily breakfast was even better! Expect scrambled eggs, croissants and a huge selection of breakfast goodies. The hotel felt really safe too, but overlooked the train station so you had to make sure the windows were closed! I'd recommend this hotel to anyone.

Avoid at all costs. From the room to the service, our stay was not an enjoyable one. Pros: Location - was walking distance to some good photo spots + beach. Cons: Rooms are dated and feel unclean. There was no room to even put our luggage down. Breakfast on the first day was good with bacon + eggs available. Second day was terrible. Basically only ham + cheese was out and looked like it had been out there overnight. Service was not friendly at all. Wifi was terrible and barely worked.

I don't understand some of the reviews I read here. This is a budget hotel with basic amenities. It's not a Hyatt or a Hilton. However, if you want a clean, safe hotel in a great location in Nice, with a big breakfast included, at a great price, this is the only place in our opinion.
