I stayed with a friend in Hotel Suisse for the Monaco Grand Prix weekend. I was not expecting much from the hotel, however, from the moment we arrived it could not have been more perfect. The hotel is situated on the edge of Nice Old Town, overlooking the Bay of Nice and the beach, fantastic views. a less than 5 minute walk to the market and all the bars and restaurants. I would definitely return if I was in Nice or going to Monaco again.

Just do it, you won't regret it! Loved our room, loved the breakfast, loved the area. Good location - close to the port in one direction, the old town in the other. As we were staying here for the Monaco Grand Prix, our time in the hotel was limited. I would love to return and spend more time exploring Nice. It's absolutely beautiful.

This hotel was a lovely surprise. Located right on the end of Promenade des Anglais, it had a beautiful view of the ocean, and was close to Vielle Ville. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and had good suggestions on activities/restaurants. My room was a bit cramped, but I was only really there to sleep. Highly recommend!

This is a very nice hotel in a great location. Easy to access from the port and to all of the great walking in Old Town Nice. The staff was friendly and helpful when approached. The hotel sits on one of the main streets in Nice with a beautiful view of the bay. The street is very noisy but with the windows shut, it cut down the noise significantly. We stayed on the first floor. I would guess if you stay on the higher floors, it would be less noisy. Overall a great hotel in a great location... Read more

From the wonderful reviews and pictures, we were hoping for a truly relaxing stay at Hotel Suisse. We have mixed reviews and did not know exactly how to rate the the hotel. -There are many plusses that made the stay enjoyable: It is a fabulous location, in Vieille Ville, and next to Colline du Chateau (Castle Hill - which is a must do!). The view from the hotel is phenomenal, and the balconies are a relaxing place to sit and enjoy the sea and fresh air. We enjoyed all of that and the location... Read more

Good location, friendly staffs. Love the seaview from the room. I'm not sure about other staffs at the reception but the one I spoke to couldn't give me a more exact location of the things I'm looking for. Wasn't very helpful on that. No one offered to help with our luggage up & down the stair at the entrance even though my child was struggling with one. I'm generally happy with the hotel stay.

I only stayed here one night. I paid more for an ocean view with balcony and I thought it was well worth it. This hotel is in a good location to walk into town. Very small elevator is the only heads up I would give. Two small women with two medium suitcases just barely fit. We stood chest to chest with our arms wrapped around each other to fit. The staff had previously asked if they could take our luggage but we chose to take it ourselves so it's easily avoidable.

The biggest plus for this Hotel is the location, it is amazing the rooms are incredibly clean and even though the Hotel is next to a main road the double glazing keeps out the road noise. The only negatives are, I am single traveller the first time I went for breakfast I wasn't shore of the process and what was on offer I was asked if I would like tea or coffee of which I do not drink and then near saw anyone again after that ,so never bothered with breakfast again. the other one is 50% of the H... My husband and I recently returned from a European vacation and ended it spending three nights at this hotel. The view is spectacular and overlooks the Mediterranean Sea and the Promenade des Anglais. The location is ideal and is within walking distance to many restaurants and local sites nearby. The room was comfortable and clean and came with its own private balcony, tiny, that fit a small table with two chairs. A breakfast is provided, for an additional fee, that offers a variety of choic... Read more

The location was very good with great views, but the room was small and the hotel badly needs a refurbishment. The lift in particular was not acceptable and the general facilities were poor. Seriously overpriced.

Prime location,15 mins from Nice airport. A warm friendly hotel with sea views, offering breakfast with great restaurants in walking distance. Rooms are well appointed, with tea/coffee making facilities, you can opt for a continental breakfast in room. You have an in-room safe which accommodates a large laptop plus other devices / important belongings. A great hotel, we will return!

Excellent location, good rooms.. Great reception service...especially Pasquale! Not 5 stars evaluation due to bad smell from bathroom. When balcony doors are open, lots of noise from street outside 24/7. Will certainly visit again...

Thanks for your hospitality during holiday. The rooms were big enough and cleaning every day. Also the towels had been changed every day. The only disadvantage was That, there was no room service. On the other Hand the stuff was so nice. Au revoir

Paid slightly more for the prestige room on the top floor. 100% worth it. Don't hesitate. Didn't have much interaction with the staff but they seemed pleasant enough. Very efficient at both check in and check out.

I chose this hotel because of its views of Nice - and I wasn't disappointed. The majority of rooms have views over the beaches of Nice - but I felt that it was worth getting a room with a balcony. My room was on the top floor, and as such, the views were similar to those on the Castle Hill underneath which the hotel was perched. Hotel Suisse is one of only two hotels at the Eastern end of the Quai des Etats-Unis. This was the main draw of the hotel - but I was also very pleased with the food, se... Read more

We stayed here for 4 nights in the suite (only one). The view of the bay was beautiful both during the day and night. Rooms etc was nice and clean and had a jacuzzi bath which we didn't use. We elected not to have the breakfast and tried our luck in Nice. Reception was friendly and helpful. Warning life only takes 3 people at best, so when transferring to your room with suitcases is not something that is quick. Location is excellent as its set into the cliff and stairs/lift to Castle Hill... Read more

The Hôtel Suisse is in an excellent location is you don't mind taking a cab, car, or a short walk from the nearest bus stop from the airport in Nice. The beautiful view of both the Mediterranean Sea and the charming architecture of the old town swept out from our balcony near the stairs to the Château du Nice. My only regret about this experience was that we only were in town one night to enjoy it. We will definitely be back for a real trip and not just a layover.

Wonderful choice, would stay there again in a minute. Tiny lift, plenty of room, good breakfast. Helpful desk and all other employees. The hill and park just behind the hotel are also a must see/visit.

Highly enjoyed our 2 night stay at Hotel Suisse. Reserved a previlage room which was on the 4th floor and as everyone has stated previously the views were absolutely gorgeous. Although the room seemed small it was adequate and nicely appointed. Staff and front desk very friendly and helpful. Had breakfast at the hotel one morning and although the setting is beautiful did find it a bit pricey. So close to Old Towne.....just a 5 minute stroll where there are many restaurants to choose from and c... Read more

Hotel Suisse is in a great location, near Old Town Nice and just under Castle Hill. Our room #42 had two balconies and gave us superb views of the beach and Promenade. The staff was very accommodating and helpful with tours and transfers to the train station

We only stayed one night at Hotel Suisse-Nice. They could not be more accommodating. Our room was beautiful and they even included champagne for our anniversary. Breakfast was excellent and they were very helpful in arranging our transportation.

My husband and I have just returned from a wonderful stay at Hotel Suisse. We found the location superb. It was an easy walk to the old section of Nice and Promenade des Anglais. Even though the property is old, it has been remodeled and is very comfortable. We loved this welcoming place from the moment we walked in and were greeted by their friendly and professional staff. We had a beautiful sea view and a comfortable room. We ate breakfast in the dining area and were delighted with the bountif... Read more

Hotel Suisse is a real gem. I have stayed here a few times and have never been disappointed. The staff are friendly and courteous and couldn't do enough for us. I will return soon hopefully. The rooms are beautifully appointed with amazing views of the bay and extremely clean and smell lovely too and the beds are really comfortable. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

This was my first stay at Hotel Suisse but I have passed it several times and thought about the excellent location and nice look. I was not disappointed. The check in was very friendly and welcoming and the room had a fantastic view of "The Angel Bay". I have already told my wife that we have to stay there next time in Nice.

This hotel is ideally situated and has the best view of the beautiful Promenade des Anglais. Friendly staff and nice breakfast. We were a bit disappointed with our room though which was a bit on the small side considering the price we paid, but the view made up for that.

Thoroughly enjoyable stay. The view from our room was breathtaking and the hotel was perfectly situated next to the old city. Would make it a point to stay at the Hotel Suisse on our next visit to Nice.

We recently spent two nights in Nice at the Hotel Suisse en route to visit friends just outside of St. Tropez. The hotel is older and quaint, the rooms are adequate size and clean and the beds are large and comfortable and the price was reasonable. We were able to take advantage of the spectacular view of the bay from the large balcony on our fifth floor room. The hotel was very quiet but that could be because there were few guests when we were there as it was off season during the week. The on... Read more

Idea location, lovely staff, a wide array of rooms and great breakfast. My "go to" lodging in Nice! Good for family or business trip. The views from the rooms are amazing. Also close to the Ascenseur du Chateau for a visit to the castle.

This is the 4th time we have stayed at the Suisse. It ticks all the boxes for us. Great location at the top end of the promenade. 5 minutes from the old town and about 10 minutes to the port restaurants. The view from the bedrooms must be the best in Nice. The beds are really comfortable and the pillows are good. Breakfast expensive but I think it is fairly competitive to most hotel breakfasts in Nice, it is much cheaper to go out for breakfast. Staff and courteous and friendly and we will b... Read more
