I stayed with a friend in Hotel Suisse for the Monaco Grand Prix weekend. I was not expecting much from the hotel, however, from the moment we arrived it could not have been more perfect. The hotel is situated on the edge of Nice Old Town, overlooking the Bay of Nice and the beach, fantastic views. a less than 5 minute walk to the market and all the bars and restaurants. I would definitely return if I was in Nice or going to Monaco again.

Just do it, you won't regret it! Loved our room, loved the breakfast, loved the area. Good location - close to the port in one direction, the old town in the other. As we were staying here for the Monaco Grand Prix, our time in the hotel was limited. I would love to return and spend more time exploring Nice. It's absolutely beautiful.

This hotel was a lovely surprise. Located right on the end of Promenade des Anglais, it had a beautiful view of the ocean, and was close to Vielle Ville. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and had good suggestions on activities/restaurants. My room was a bit cramped, but I was only really there to sleep. Highly recommend!

This is a very nice hotel in a great location. Easy to access from the port and to all of the great walking in Old Town Nice. The staff was friendly and helpful when approached. The hotel sits on one of the main streets in Nice with a beautiful view of the bay. The street is very noisy but with the windows shut, it cut down the noise significantly. We stayed on the first floor. I would guess if you stay on the higher floors, it would be less noisy. Overall a great hotel in a great location... Read more

From the wonderful reviews and pictures, we were hoping for a truly relaxing stay at Hotel Suisse. We have mixed reviews and did not know exactly how to rate the the hotel. -There are many plusses that made the stay enjoyable: It is a fabulous location, in Vieille Ville, and next to Colline du Chateau (Castle Hill - which is a must do!). The view from the hotel is phenomenal, and the balconies are a relaxing place to sit and enjoy the sea and fresh air. We enjoyed all of that and the location... Read more

Good location, friendly staffs. Love the seaview from the room. I'm not sure about other staffs at the reception but the one I spoke to couldn't give me a more exact location of the things I'm looking for. Wasn't very helpful on that. No one offered to help with our luggage up & down the stair at the entrance even though my child was struggling with one. I'm generally happy with the hotel stay.

The location of the hotel, it's pleasant atmosphere, friendly assistance from staff and views from the rooms make Hotel Suisse a wonderful choice when in Nice. Our stay was enhanced by each of those qualities and we would not hesitate to choose Hotel Suisse again if returning to Nice.

I only stayed here one night. I paid more for an ocean view with balcony and I thought it was well worth it. This hotel is in a good location to walk into town. Very small elevator is the only heads up I would give. Two small women with two medium suitcases just barely fit. We stood chest to chest with our arms wrapped around each other to fit. The staff had previously asked if they could take our luggage but we chose to take it ourselves so it's easily avoidable.

One night stay and didn't arrive until late but a very warm welcome and an ideal location. Would like to return for a longer stay. Located right on the seafront and so close to the old town. Room was very comfortable.

Hotel Suisse has an amazing location and wonderful accommodations. Everyone was very helpful and went the extra mile for us. We really appreciated their restaurant recommendations and reservations. We traveled with our 8 year old son, who loved his roll-away bed next to us.

Wonderful and friendly service from check in to porter service of our luggages to our rooms and transportation service back to airport. The staff made our stay so comfortable. We were fortunate enough to have a fantastic stay at this hotel for 5 nights during June 2016. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the reception staff who we found to be extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the surrounding area and were always willing to help and recommend places to see and restaurants to visit. We stayed in rooms 32 and 37 and were told by the hotel's staff how lucky we were to be staying in 32 as French artist 'Raoul Dify' painted his view of Nice from the window of the ro... Read more

A great location with an amazing view and friendly staff however this is where the joy ended for us. Many problems with this hotel and our initial room. Non working air con, TV broken, Push wastes in bath and sink stuck and a leaking shower that covered the bathroom floor. The room itself was dark with grey coloured carpet and walls, making it feel very depressing. Our room was changed due to the various issues and we were given one on the same floor but with hardwood (fake) floors. This room... Read more

Lovely hotel, extremely clean, super helpful staff, excellent location for the city and the beach. We didn't use the restaurant ourselves but it did look like a very nice place to eat. The hotel is situated at the bottom of Castle Hill so a quick walk up a couple of hundred steps gives you an incredible view. I would stay here again, one of the nicest little hotels I've ever visited. Stu.

Excellent view and good bed. Apart from that very disappointing standard compared to the price level. Carpets on the floors shower in the bathtub on the side wall made it less comfortable to shower with lots of water on the floor. Air condition was old and did not work properly. TV did not work for 3 days. Staff was ok, but not too friendly compared to other hotels.

I stayed here with my family in room 42 (I think this is the only 'suite' room in the hotel) and it was amazing. This suite had two bedrooms and a shared bathroom which was perfect for our family of four. There are two balconies with an incredible view of the beach in Nice. The hotel is clean and modern and very well located within Nice. We chose this hotel for its location near the old town, views, balcony and value for money. We were on the first floor and our view of the bay was partly blocked by trees but still excellent. The air conditioning was great. We thought the breakfast was expensive so ate out. It was just a base for us which we would use again.

A truly striking hotel in the most incredible location! In fact, challenge anybody to find a hotel with a better location in Nice! Situated at the end of the famous Promenade des Anglais, this hotel boasts access to most key points in the town. You are literally a one minute stroll from the promenade, two minutes from the beach, five minutes from Cours Saleya, and about 15 minutes to the main shopping areas, both old and new. My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. We got a room that had a water view, and the view from the room was fantastic. Sure, it's on a busy street, but the window was really sound proof. The location was great - within walking distance to more restaurants, bars, cafes and shops. The room was clean and had your typical amenities. Staff was super friendly. Hotel Suisse is a modern, clean, well-maintained hotel in a great location on a hill overlooking the water and in easy walking distance to old town, beach, and museums. Room facilities are modern, although the shower head is still European style and not well designed. Front desk staff are professional, helpful, and attentive. My room was on a low floor facing traffic, which is noisy. Try to get a room on a higher floor. No iron in the room, which should be a basic thing to include.

Hotel Suisse was a lovely hotel! The view was divine, and the space was clean and cool! The location was also fantastic! Loved our stay at this hotel. The location is perfect for both enjoying the beach and exploring the old town and port area of Nice. Reception was helpful in reserving restaurants and arranging airport transfer. For a fee we could keep our room until 19:00 on our departure day, which was very practical. Everything was spotlessly clean. Recommend you get a room with balcony and a view of Promenade des Anglais to have breakfast overlooking the sea and beautiful city.
