My daughter and I just left the Ambassador Hotel. What a great place to stay while in Nice. Location is perfect! This is a European Boutique hotel and very nice by these standards. Bathroom was a good size and all very clean. You have the best of both worlds, Old and New town at your finger tips! We were there the week before Easter and I loved the little holiday decorations. The best part of the hotel was Norbert, at the front desk. He went above and beyond to help us and make our sta... Read more

Myself and my wife recently visited Nice on a city break and stayed in the Ambassador Hotel. The hotel is centrally located just off the Promenade des Anglais, close to the main shopping area and a short walk to the Old Town. Our stay was short, but relaxing in a really nice quiet hotel. Excellent value for money. As part of my job I have travelled a lot during the last number of years, but have never come across someone like Norbert at the front desk - he brings customer service to a new level,... Read more

Great value, great location near the Promenarde des Anglais, the old town and shops. Staff were very helpful arranging taxis advising us where the best restaurants were and with it being a small hotel they knew you personally. 8 minute walk up to the railway station unless you used the tram . We were able to visit Monaco (â?¬7.20 return) and Ville France ( â?¬1.20 return ) with no hassle at all . Definite value for money , clean and safe with a permanent night manager . Only negative comment wo... Read more

The Hotel bedrooms were a little tired but everything else was really good. Location within walking distance of old town & lots of restaurants & shops. Our stay was made special by the lovely staff especially Norbert on the front desk who went out of his way to be friendly & helpful. Also the lady who helps at breakfast time was very helpful & cheerful. We will definitely stay again.

We have just returned from a wonderful few days at the Ambassador Hotel in Nice. We have stayed at a number of small hotels in Nice, but since we discovered the Ambassador we would not stay anywhere else. The friendly and helpful staff make us feel very welcome . The hotel is situated very near the old town, and very convenient for buses and trains. We will return.

We visited Nice for a short break to relax and enjoy the sunshine. After many hours of searching we decided on the Ambassador hotel as it was in the right location and the price was reasonable. We had read reviews that mentioned Norbert, the hotel receptionist and I can only say that he should have a pay rise! I am disabled so as soon as I arrived I had to sit down and my wife approached the check in desk where she was greeted by Norbert. His smiles, greetings and helpful nature made our day. Th... We have just returned from a 4 night stay at this hotel, we're frequent visitors to Nice but this is the first time we've stayed at The Ambassador. We were really pleasantly surprised, the hotel is excellently situated, and we were given a complimentary upgrade to a room with a balcony and sea view. The hotel is quiet and clean, and the reception staff are so friendly and helpful. It's been mentioned on a few reviews but Norbert went out of his way to do all he could for us. The rooms are spac... Read more

The hotel was lovely, the bathroom spectacular, bedroom a little tired in decor and could do with a kettle perhaps. The staff particularly Norbert were very helpful. However whilst i didn't book a sea view room i did ask for one if possible as it was for a very special occasion, what i got was a very poor view of a wall and some smashed up buildings. I didn't complain as i was only there 3 nights and on arrival the gentleman on reception did not have great English skills, however i would be ... Read more

First I just want to say how incredibly well placed this hotel is in regards to attractions and restaurants. You will step outside and be right in the middle of amazing shopping, dining, and steps from the local beach. Upon our arrival (3 girls in our 20's) we had a nasty receptionist in our first hotel and we were greeted with warm welcomes and smiles from NORBERT. I know he is praised here a lot, but he is a saint. He not only made it possible to get a last minute room, but he surprised my fri... Read more

We have never met a more arrogant staff. We called beforehand to ensure that the room was ready for check in - got confirmed 14.00 (official check in time). At 15.00 it was still not ready, nothing they could do to help, and we found ourselves waiting in the hallway with our luggage, and the receptionist being very unpolite when I asked for a solution. When the cleaning staff arived we got yelled at because she had to many rooms to clean.... The morning after we found that we did not have large ... Read more

Room was basic and could have done with a decent clean but I was only there for 2 nights so put up with it. Service at reception, however, was awful. Dealt with the three people at different times of the day and each of them were unnecessarily rude.

We had a room with great seaview and the hotel was over all extremely lovely! But maybe the best thing was the location; close to the beach, shopping area and old town! There were a lot of restaurants and cafes also nearby. We would also recommend the breakfast in the hotel, they offered everything we needed.

After booking a trip from Basel to Nice on Easy Jet, I got an email from Easy Jet recommending the Ambassador Hotel. The pictures looked nice and given its closeness to the beach, center of town and the old town I booked it. Upon arrival reality hit. The hotel has ok bathrooms but the carpeted floors are disgusting, our garbage can had NOT been empty, the cleaning personnel smelled of body odor, one of the bath towels had not been properly washed from blood stains!!! As our garbage can was rep... Read more

Lovelovelovelove Nice and the Ambassador Hotel! We got awesome view from our room, straight to the sea. Room was modern and clean. We had two balconys. Bathroom was clean and beautiful. It took only 2minutes to walk to the beach and 2minutes to shopping. Location was the very best thing of the hotel. Hotel's breakfast was good and recommendable. Hopefully can visit again. Very helpful staff and good Wi-Fi!

Our stay at the hotel was very nice. Lovely modern room with a decent view (we booked a sea view room). Norbert at the reception was very welcoming and super helpful! Hotel is in a great location, with short walks to the beach, city centre and old town. Very good value for money. Would recommend staying if on a bit of a budget.

Perfect location. Professional and friendly staff (Paulo, Norberto thank you for all). Amazing sea view. Beach in front hotel (2 minutes by feet). All places of interest are within walking distance. This hotel the perfect place to stay during our romantic trip to Nice!

my wife and I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and were pleasantly surprised. the hotel is situated in a perfect location, at the center of the city, with everything around it, less than a minute walk to the beach and just by the market and old city. the room was recently renovated, bigger than expected, very quiet, and overall superb. huge bed and great shower. Would like to mention the super friendly staff, especially NORBERT, the reception manager (how should be the hotel manager), that took ... Read more

The hotel was clean - but dated in appearance. Clearly there has some renovation efforts - the bathrooms are modern and there are hints of fresh paint in places - but there is still some way to go to drag this place into the modern era. Rooms facing the sea are inherently noisy - due to the hotel's proximity to the road. You can open the windows (which need painting) and hear motorcycles - or close them and bake (air con is well, not really).
