Really enjoyed our three day stay in this hidden gem of a hotel. Well positioned just off the Main Street with an excellent restaurant and coffee house nearby we found it ideal for our visit. The staff were very helpful and spoke good English and there was someone on reception at all times. We had a room on the first floor and although directly across from the hotel bar area was very quiet, in fact all three nights very quiet. The room was small but manageable, perhaps a little more coffee and t... Read more

We stayed at this hotel from the 26th April, coming back to the UK on the 1st May. Our room may not have been huge, but it was well appointed with air con, tea making facilities, fridge and very comfortable beds. The bathroom, though small, was well appointed too, though I think a big man may have found the toilet difficult being positioned between the shower and the dividing wall. However, it was generally good.We would have preferred to have had a bath, but realise that on the Continent show... Read more

Lovely little Hotel in the middle of Nice. Small rooms but we paid extra for a balcony on the topp floor and that was super - superfriendlys staff and a nice breakfast. Extra plus for the ecological and enviromental thinking. Could absolutely go back!

It is walking distance to the train station, metro, beach, castle and market. The hotel is a very GOOD VALUE for Nice. So, if you are looking for a good hotel in a convenient location with average continental style breakfast and nice amenities for a reasonable price in Nice, I would recommend the Grand Hotel Le Florence. We didn't have the best first impression, however, it quickly turned around with the right attitudes. When we entered the hotel, it was a bit awkward as the first man who ch... Read more

As soon as we arrived at this hotel, we were greeted by the nice staff, who spoke good english. Our room was modern and designed in a stylish manner. The bathroom was spotless, and the furniture was distributed efficiently, so you won't bump into it. From this hotel, you have to walk for about 10-12 minutes to get to the beach, and just across the street you can find the Nicetoile shopping centre, with lots of stores and cafés. There is also a 'bio' shop next door, so you can get delicious... Read more

The room was extremely small. The shower was even smaller. I couldn't fit myself in the shower, always bumped into something ( I am 5'9" Tall). Only one towel per person, not enough soap. I understand environmentally friendly concept but too economical. Staff was friendly and helpful though. The location is good as well and parking is close if you are planning to rent a car.

This is not a luxury hotel, but it is very clean and the staff is super helpful. It is located about three blocks from the Nice Etoile shopping area. The sea and Massena square are easily walkable. The casinos are also easy to get to. The location was perfect in my opinion. The room wasn't large, but more spacious than hotels I stayed in in New York. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Stayed here for a business trip. Hotel is nicely situated in walking distance of the city centre, old village and boulevard. Rooms are nice and modern. A bit small but comfortable enough to spend a couple of nights here. Breakfast was unfortunately not included.

My wife and me stayed for a week in the hotel, and we tried several rooms. The junior suite rooms with terracce at 5th floor was just great, the small double rooms were - not surprisingly - but small. Service was always with a smile. The location is central, just 50 m off the Nice Etoile shopping center with parking for the car. The WLAN was the best we ever have had in a hotel, 40 MBit SDSL! And stable most of the time. A very good hotel, especially if you book the large rooms.

I stayed at Le Florence hotel with my husband during three nights in July - we had a nice little get-away from the Scandinavian summer rain. The Florence hotel is situated in the vicinity of several good points of interests: the shopping street Avenue Jean Medicin with Nice Etoile and Galeries Lafayettes, the old town which is a 10 minutes walk away and the train station, where the express bus to the airport stops. The hotel is cosy and clean. The rooms, or at least the standard rooms, are quite... Read more

Stayed here for a few nights in July 2016. Excellent hotel, staff very friendly and more than happy to help us plan our travel around the south of France both before we arrived and during our stay. The hotel itself is clean and modern, and ideally placed near Massena Place close to the new town and a short ten minute walk to the old town. Would definitely recommend staying here to anyone wanting a hotel away from the sea front.

The room was so tiny, but clean and the bed was good. I liked their bathroom, everything was very modern. Hotel location was good and it took only 10 minutes to walk to beach boulevard. Wi-fi was free and parking (20 EUR/night) was possible in the closest shopping mall. Breakfast also possible (excluded), but we didn't eat that. However, I would rather stay somewhere else than here in the future.

Arriving at the hotel, my first thought was where was the lobby? So I was prepared for the size of our room. Arriving with luggage for a three week trip, we were somewhat perplexed at how to settle in to this minimal space. Once over the size, we really loved the hotel. The small staff was helpful, the location excellent, the small bathroom clean and functional, and the breakfast good. I strongly recommend those not put off by the size to try this hotel. They too will be won over.

Hotel is very clean, staff on reception speak English too as my French is a little dated! . We stayed in a standard double room which was very clean and pleasantly decorated . It's very compact though and you have to sit sideways on the toilet as there is no leg room, the shower again clean but compact. Without sounding rude it wouldn't be any good for a more larger person as the cubicle is very small. Washing yourself and bumping arms on the glass small. But that's what we paid for so this is n... After traveling in Europe for a month, our last hotel, Grand Hotel le Florence, had an exceptional staff. They were all so helpful, kind and courteous with a sense of humor. It so helped make our stay memorable. Even though our trip came just a few days after the tragedy in Nice, we loved the city and its people. Do not stay away.

The is a nice independent hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room we had was clean, and well equipped. It was a short walk to the main beachfront and 15 min walk to the train station. If you book via their website directly you will receive a discount on breakfast, at least that was the offer when we booked, plus it's nice to support independent hotels.

This hotel is well located, with the station and beach being ten minutes from the hotel in different directions, and shopping on the doorstep. We always prefer hotels with lifts, which formed part of the reason for selecting this hotel, so were disappointed to find that the entry from the street to reception and the lift is up five steps. Very inferior quality liquid soap in the bathroom was the only downside to staying in this hotel. However, the 'hidden taxes' we had to pay came as quite a surprise, particularly as no mention of this [City Tax] was highlighted in any of the hotel's literature. Breakfast at 14 Euros appeared to be rather on the high side so we ate elsewhere.
