We stayed in a room on the first floor. My partner is an Accor Club member - didn't pull any weight. Rooms are ok but small. So small that even with the heating off, the room heats up and becomes quite stuffy that you need to open the window to let some fresh air into the room. Location to city centre and shops - quite good. Staff average. Hotel amenities average.

It has a great location, right in the town center and offers very nice facilities. The breakfast buffet provides a variety of choices and is very good. It is a dog friendly hotel. I definitely recommend it.

Our room was on an upper floor which I would recommend as the hotel is in a busy city centre area. The room was fine but a little small. Breakfast was excellent and the staff helpful. Our dog was made welcome.

I reserved a privilége room. I am not sure what that means in terms of being better than a regular room, but it was a nice corner room facing a square with free access to the basic drinks in the minibar and a Nespresso coffee maker. The room area was good and there was a seating area and table. TV channel selection in English is limited to two or three channels, such as BBC, CNN and one with blockbuster movies. The rest is in French, most, and a few in other languages. Access to transportation ... Read more

Very nice hotel, comfortable stay but laptops wouldn't connect to wifi in the room & no hardwire. iphones & iPads were ok throughout the hotel. If you need to work in your room this hotel is not for you. Otherwise everything was lovely and it's in a great location.

Room is nice. Hotel refreshed since 2013 it's new and nice design. Unfortunately the fitness is extremely tiny. It looks smaller than the room... Frédéric at the reception is so unpleasant. He never smile or greet. What a shame he brings down all the good rates.

Hotel in the hearth of Nantes city. Reception and lobby area is very stylish and staff is pleasant and helpful. Rooms are modern and clean, bed is comfortable. Minibar in room, bar in the lobby. Breakfast is outstanding, very high quality of products and choice of anything you can have for a good start of the day. Very recommended!

Location is great, right in the heart of the city and in the pedestrian area. Hotel e-mailed us with directions and the code to get through the barrier and into the private parking. Wifi worked well, but the settee was in the corner of the room with no lighting, so fairly dark. Lighting by the bed was excellent, so needed to read there. Large shower although slippery when wet. Sink very cramped. Separate toilet was good. The room was large with a mini bar, nespresso machine & kettle, but ver... Read more

Very satisfied, friendly staff. Gym and other services could be better, but as there is so much to do in Nantes, the location in the corner of all tram lines and sights etc is the most important. Also peaceful street, right next to all the key walking districts.

This hotel is situated at the very heart of Nantes and therefore ideal to get about without the need for a car although if you do get there by car, the secured street access and underground private parking make it very safe. A very nice Hotel with friendly and very professional staff throughout and very comfortable clean rooms. Breakfast is very good with an array of fresh produces. We will definitely come back every time we visit Nantes.

The clean rooms are good value for money. Like most hotels located downtown the rooms are no too big but the breakfast makes up for it. From the hotel you can easily walk around the city center ans show you need to go further, the tram station is just 100m away.

Stayed there with a friend for a week end out in Nantes, it was perfect: very clean, and comfortable room, enough space for 2 with twin beds. bathroom spacious, and a big plus when 2 friends in same room: toilets are separated. Loved the room. Excellent location for shopping, touristic visits, as well as for a night out in restaurants and bars/pub, as it is only 5 minutes walk away. also pretty close to train station yet, being in middle of town, we had a couple of very good nights as there was ... This was my first stay here but my coworkers recommended it. The service is top notch. The bar was good. The daily breakfast was very good and had many healthy choices. The location is right in from of the tram station. Getting to the hotel from by rail is very easy. Its about a 20 min ride from the Nantes airport. The hotel is in the center of Nantes and minutes walking away from some of the areas best things to see. The hotel doesn't have a formal restaurant but you are steps from over 200 pla... Read more

Excellent service & location. Quiet with good breakfast . Great pedestrian-friendly and people-orientated city. We intended to stay in Nantes for 3 days but extended to 10 days at the Mercure. Tram system is remarkably good. Lots of lessons for Australian cities such as Wollongong

I stayed here for three nights last weekend to attend an event in Nantes. Throughout my stay, I found the hotel staff to be utterly professional and helpful, particularly Marine at reception whose excellent English was appreciated given my dodgy French. She happily provided accurate directions to the place I was to meet my friends the first night and seemed to be a permanent fixture on the front desk, proving more than helpful when it came time to check out three days later. We arrived on 30 July (2 adults + a 12 year old). We had been promised early check in at 9am but it wasn't available then. The hotel did its best to try to make us welcome while we were waiting. The location of the hotel is brilliant for leisure - just off the Place Royale, and only about 7 mins walk from the Chateau des Ducs, with a huge number of places to eat, and lots of shops and some museums nearby. Our room was a sort of suite: a normal smallish room (with a sofa bed) and with a small d... Read more

The hotel is located in the heart of the city, within walking distance of most places of interest. We stayed in a family room consisting of two rooms, one with a double bed and the other with a double sofa bed. Both rooms had nice and big TVs. Just a tip though, avoid getting a room facing towards the inside terrace on the first floor as you open your windows and all you see is cigarette butts and bird droppings. We asked to be moved to a higher floor and it was much better. As noted by othe... Read more

Quite tricky to find when driving to it. The route is blocked with a bollard and unless you know what to do you can't get in. We hard to park and walk to the hotel to get instructions. It is quite straight forward through... just punch in a code and the bollard drops and you can access the hotel parking. Getting out was also tricky but that is because many of the roads in the old town of Nantes are blocked. The hotel was great, the staff very pleasant... however, the nasty shock was that th... Geen hotel om zonder reservering aan te komen per auto. Er is een code nodig om de straat in te kunnen rijden en die krijg je pas na het boeken van de kamer..... Being a Clubmember I should get a 5% discount, but no. After asking another staffmember of the nightshift this friendly lady gave me my discount..... Another thing surprised me, the welcome drink, this hotel was the first hotel that offered me only one, so my wife had to pay. This week we stayed in 6 different Accor hotels untill now,... Read more

This was my first visit to Nantes and as I travelled alone wasn't sure what to expect. This hotel is modern and ideally situated to walk to any of the sites. I was in a twin-bedded room overlooking a quiet side street. The room was clean with a mattress on the firm side. A bottle of water and biscuits were provided daily and I appreciated the use of a kettle and supply of tea and coffee, a nice and unusual touch in France. The TV is huge ! A smart, modern hotel very centrally located with most sights in walking distance or a few tram stops away. The access to the hotel by car is complex. Read and follow the instructions carefully, and make sure you have the access code to give to the remote operator of the retractable bollards. I turned the wrong way when we were leaving and found myself on the wrong side of a set of posts separating pedestrians from cars. It needed a helpful taxi driver (yes, this is a genuine review!) to guide m... Read more

This hotel is pretty much perfectly situated if you don't have your own transport as it's close to the airport bus stop, tram stops on 3 lines and within walking distance of most of the main sites. Despite that, it's not noisy. The standard room on 5th floor was a decent size, very clean with a very comfortable bed and good bathroom. Useful to have a separate toilet. We have visited Nantes before but never stayed. This hotel is the best among seven I tried out in Nantes so far! Located directly in the center, facing the famous "L'Entrecote" restaurant, you won't find a better place to be. The rooms are great, with a ultra cool shower and very comfortable beds! Breakfast is, for France, best in class and offers a real intercontinental one! It's now my favorite address in Nantes!

I was welcomed to the hotel by a group of smokers congregating around the entrance. Having navigated the fog I was welcomed by one of the more senior reception staff. This hotel is virtually impossible to find by car - we only managed thanks to the kindness of the local gendarmes who lead us there! It is very well situated, right by the shops and tram stops. Standard double room was pleasant, clean and the shower efficient. Bed was hard but comfortable. The location of the hotel was very convenient, with all the key sights we wanted to visit with in easy walking distance. Access to hotel by car a little adventure, as the traffic arrangements in Nantes are "exciting" to say the least! Hotel staff were excellent and reception were first class at helping us find our bearings. Very friendly. As with many hotels in centres of cities, there can be some late night noise, but this was limited.

This was a family trip. We spent 2 nights. The hotel looks great, modern and stylish. We got the privilege rooms, one of them upgraded and they were excellent. The only minor part could be that bathroom is too small and it is difficult to close the door when you are in. For the rest it was comfortable, well soundproofed and stylish. The breakfast was lavish and the staff very friendly. We will come back.
