What a fun week we had! It snowed the week before our stay and during it so we could ski in and out, ideal. The staff were helpful and friendly and we enjoyed some of the entertainment including winning free cocktails at the quiz and free French lessons from the bar man!! The food was pretty good for buffet style with plenty of it and non of the problems described in other reviews with food not being replenished so maybe this has now been addressed. The wine included with the meal was fine for u... Read more

We understand that this hotel was just bought by Belambra and, as such, it does not offer yet the full Belambra experience. Such a shame as it could be a great hotel. To recap: 1- Amazing staff. As always, the entertaining team is fabulous. Marie, Laurie Anne & the boys, a huge thank you, our children loved you all. You went beyond duty to make sure guests experience was fabulous. A huge Thank you! 2- The hotel is rented an average of 40% to Cristal ski, so expect lots of English guests who ar... Read more

Sadly the lack of snow meant that you do not get the benefits of ski in ski out. Although we were able to ski in Avoriaz each day, it was very busy and quite an effort to get to, pretty much an hour long trip, which is not ideal when your children are in ski school in Morzine. The food wasn't too bad, though breakfast was a grab and run affair due to the need to get on the infrequent pleney to get the bus to Avoriaz. All the staff in the hotel were very kind, but i would say its one of the gr... Read more

The hotel is ideally placed for ski and ski out except when there is no snow. We had to get the bus to avoriaz which is fine but given that the pleney lift only starts at 08.30 in the morning it means that it takes at least an hour each way before you hit the pistes. The rooms are quite small and the bathroom is minuscule, you could touch all four walls whilst stood on the less than 1 meter square tile in the middle. The food is mediocre and if you arrive towards the end of the sitting the cho... Read more

Stayed there as part of a group of 4 people. Great location on the mountain, ski in ski out what more could you ask for? Our room was clean and well maintained with a terrific view of the mountains. Food was very good. The bar area was good. We didn't use the swimming pool. The staff were helpful and courteous. I would stay here again.

Loved the location of this hotel. We had a slope side room with the most amazing views of the mountains. Each morning we woke to the lovely sight of fresh snow and the skiiers arriving via the telepherique. How lucky did we feel to just roll out of bed, breakfast and be on the slope without the need for buses and queueing - fantastic. The room was spotless with new carpets and comfortable beds. We had a small balcony where we kept a pint of milk for our morning tea (take your own kettle). W... Read more

Great place to stay for from the door skiing. Lovely setting and venue - fantastic views from the rooms over the valley. Staff excellent - everything just fine and good enough. Not majorly special, but just what you need for an easy relaxing, convenient stay. Everything from ski hire within the hotel, half board food, ski store room. Lovely staff - very enjoyable stay.

We stayed at Le Viking last year and really enjoyed it so decided to go again. Glad we did, as hotel has improved slightly over last year. Could still go further but heading in right direction. The location is why you stay at Le Viking. It doesn't get any better. You can sit having your breakfast and watch everyone struggle with all their kit on the gondola. Finish breakfast, clip on skis or board and coast down to ski school meeting point. Views are fabulous. Food this year, was a massive im... Read more

Superb hotel with friendly staff, great food, clean and tidy rooms and the best lication in Morzine right on the slopes. In house band, healthy and plentiful breakfast, warm reception, great bar for apres, chilly pool. Need to be organised with lift times etc. Ski shop onsite delivered the goods. Savoyard cuisine on the last night was a fantastic surprise, leave room for it you won't be sorry. Downstairs bar put on music and karaoke, didn't go to the latter but other guests said it was fun. Staff are professional responsive and friendly. Food is very satisfactory if a bit ordinary. Rooms were good clean and well maintained. No noise problems as I was on the top floor. Mostly families and mature adults so no problems with guests.
