We all loved this very modern, clean and convenient beach front hotel. Recommend mini-breakfast (juice, hot drink and two little pastries) which we enjoyed by the pool). Quite a stroll into town but easy walk to train for the tennis tournament. A little traffic noise in beach facing rooms if window open. Would certainly return.

This is a very good and functional hotel, with clean modern a fresh interior. This is not "luxury" and it does not have the all so unnecessary frills, but a good base for access to Menton Old town and centre. This is located on the Eastern edge of Menton at "Menton Garavan" facing the sea (road divides), with a small supermarket close by and within 6/7 minutes walk to "Menton Garavan" Station, where there is an excellent and very frequent train service linking to all the south coast resorts and ... The hotel is in a great spot for walking around town. They speak English, had a good breakfast, and did a cool thing with other nearby hotels for a variety of happy hour events.Met other travelers and enjoyed snacks and drinks.

I've had the pleasure of staying in this fabulous hotel whenever I have been working nearby. It's in the wonderful town of Menton which is a wonderful scenic town with plenty of nearby restaurants and a nice beach too. Very helpful staff, a small but well equipped Gym and a pool. Continental breakfast. Bar snacks and light bites are served at the bar or for room service. If you don't want a Sea view then the rear facing rooms are cheaper but still as well decorated and clean as the front. The ... Read more

We stayed here for 6 nights last summer and enjoyed our stay quite a bit. We had access to their parking area which was necessary. The staff were all superb. We didn't get a chance to enjoy the pool or have any food in the hotel but our room was comfortable and clean. It was the perfect location to use as a base for Nice, Monaco, Cap D'Ail and Menton of course.

Spent another week at the Hotel Napoleon in Menton. Its a lovely hotel in a beautiful location. Staff are pleasant, helpful and efficient. The hotel is spotless, the breakfast very good, and the pool area a blessed relief when the sun gets a little too hot. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough - looking forward to returning later in the year.

The hotel is situated on the esplanade, an excellent location close to all the sights and eating places. The bedrooms are imaginatively decorated, with references to the artist/writer/film-maker Jean Cocteau who lived in the area (you can visit his museum in the town). All the rooms have spacious balconies, with a table and chairs, either facing the sea or the garden behind the hotel. They also include tea and coffee making facilities and drinks (non alcoholic) in the mini bar were complimenta... Read more

Located on the very eastern end of Menton, this hotel was a bit of a walk from the center of town, but we enjoyed the location very much. The beach was just across the street and was a sandy beach, not rocky like some of the others. The views of town from the hotel were amazing! And the walk to Italy is less than a mile, if you want to cross the border just to say you did. The staff in the hotel were very helpful when we had questions.

I must say that the price was ok for the offering. If it was any more expensive I work most likely rate it a three. However it is really quite impressive relative to other hotels we visited before booking this one relative to the price . I've become sceptical of high reviews from my fellow TA reviewers. I feel there is a lack of objectivity sometimes and that price to experience is not usually considered where full marks are granted So I say this place is lovely The lobby has a cool sheek ham... Room was okay, big bathroom though. The pool area is only small, but there were always enough pool beds available. There is also a small gym on-site. The breakfast is a nice selection, and good quality. Whilst we were staying there was a film crew in attendance (the french version of '4 in a bed', or similar). We were asked to sign a consent form, in case we were inadvertently filmed, and this was a minor inconvenience when trying to get breakfast etc. because we were asked to stay out of shot.... We booked our room directly with the hotel. We had a mountain view room which as long as you looked up you had a gorgeous view! Bathroom is small and room basic but comfortable. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Location is walk to old town but we all know walking is good for you and we are in our 70s! Pool area small-- we didn't make it to beach. We paid for hotel parking which was limited to 10 cars in tight lot but worth it. If ever in Menton again, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here.

We were at the Napoleon for one night as a family. The location is walking distance to the beach in Menton. The hotel has a relationship with a beach club that we went to both days. The beach is sandy and the water is beautiful; we also went sailing one afternoon even though the wind was lite. The hotel staff was very friendly and arranged transportation for us to the restaurant we went to (Mirazur). We spent 6 nights there last week. We cannot say enough positive things about our stay. The hotel staff are super friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean. Complimentary soft drinks were a nice touch. The hotel is steps away from the beach and there is a small supermarket nearby. A small, refreshing pool is on site. The hotel is a short walk from Rue St. Michel. We did not have the hotel breakfast so cannot comment on it. We cannot wait to return.

Modern, cool, colourful and uses much of Cocteau's work in its decorations and pictures. Love the Napoleonic bees also used as a motif; the bar and reception make a great relaxing space and the pool is lovely. Rooms not huge but well kitted out, free wifi throughout the hotel and very friendly staff, keen to help. Very nice breakfast buffet pool and close to the beach. Very good drinks (my favorite is calypso w aperol, gin and champagne. Strawberry mojito was also fantastic). There are a lot of good restaurants nearby at the beach or in old town. There is an price worthy supermarket, marche U express across the street. The employees are very very friendly. I was here for a long weekend last week with my mother to celebrate her birthday. The rooms overlooking the sea with a balcony were fully booked so we were given a room with twin beds with a view of the garden and mountains, without a balcony. After our first night in a small room (601) rear facing the mountain we decided to move to a larger and quieter sea facing room. The rear rooms overlook a large school and train track, although the school was still on summer break I can imagine this will be very noisy once term starts. Our issue was the room was adjacent to the lift, and the lift machinery was very noisy. There was also no balcony. We were however delighted with our new room 406. We stayed at the Napoleon for 5 nights during a motoring holiday to the south of France. We paid extra for one of the 10 or so parking spaces available at the hotel. The staff at the hotel were always friendly and helpful. The rooms were kept spotlessly clean.
