Arriving at Hotel 96 to find it set behind high electronic gates was a great relief after approaching through the south of Marseilles.A tranquil oasis with lovely secluded gardens and an adequate outdoor swimming pool. We were travelling with friends and both our rooms were larger than expected, well appointed with good views over the garden towards the mountains in the distance. All reception staff were exceedingly helpful and did their best to advise on local amenities and restaurants.A parti... Read more

everyone was right, faultless, very friendly, comfortable, clean, spacious, great breakfast etc. etc. if there's room, book!! I got rain, but it must be even better in the sun, the pool looks great and very well kempt gardens surround it. 10 mins from the Uni, and 20 from the old port (by car).

My family arrived here so lately and realized my booking was not checked well...but they welcomed very sweetly and gave the last room, maybe. And the room was sooo clean and silent. The next morning, the other staff also asked and worried about me. They shared my embarrassed and tired situation last night. They were really friendly and cozy. The small pool in the garden was so clean and beautiful. And I enjoyed the lovely breakfast with my son. Hope to visit here this summer again.

This really is an excellent hotel.immaculare stylish rooms , great breakfast and a garden oasis away from the Marseilles bustle. Only 96 out of 100 because it is hard to find (use sat nav if you have it) and if you turn up after seven on a Sunday like we did the local food options are very limited (and hotel options closed). But book it anyway.

We stayed three nights and we were happy with our stay. Our Junior Suite was spacious and comfortable, although up a short flight of stairs. (No lift) The reception staff were very good and the welcome talk which we opted to follow in French was very useful with a good explanation of how to get into town and where you could eat nearby. One day we opted to take the boat from Pointe Rouge to Marseille centre which was a route we would not have thought of. Another day we caught the bus 22 or 23 do... Read more

We stayed here for just one night and arrived after 7 and didn't expect any member of staff to greet us as per their instructions for late arrivals. However Sebastian stayed to greet us and was very friendly and gave us a recommendation on a restaurant for the eve in small fishing village not to far away. The restaurant was called Grand Bar Des Goudes which I will review separately as it was excellent. We stayed in a junior suite room which was large bright and clean. The hotel is very quiet a... After staying in hôtels for a couple of weeks Hôtel 96 was à welcome change of pace. It had a very relaxing feel with staff that really made every effort to ensure you enjoyed your stay. The grounds were beautiful and the pool was popular with the kids. For families this is a great value solution to staying in Marseille.

This was probably the best thing in our marseille visit. The hotel is a bit far from the city centre but it is a beautiful place with a fantastic staff. William the owner is an exceptional host and worries about all the details whilst the duration of the stay. Great and big rooms (largest room we found in europe) and I highly recommend this

My family and I enjoyed a fantastic short stay here - thoroughly recommended for those seeking a little peace in this busy city. Expect a little luxury, but not the unnecessary fuss (or lack of!) of a traditional hotel. The rooms utilise contemporary design and are spotless.....thank you for a great stay!

What a beautiful place. Just out of the town but within walking distance. Our room was modern, spacious and beautiful. Has air con and mini bar. Shower was great. Hotel has a pool. Staff were so lovely and helpful. Gave good recommendations for dinner. Breakfast full of lovely fresh bread and good small selection of meat and cheese. Would come back if we were in the area. Highly recommend.

Lovely hotel on the outskirts of Marseille, thoroughly deserves it's high rating. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the staff friendly and welcoming. The pool area is lovely, especially on a hot day. It's kind of in the suburbs and not loads within easy walking distance; however there are a couple of restaurants in the nearest village which is a 10-15 minute walk away. Used the delivery service once and found the food to be excellent... the hotel sets the tables and provides bread, wate... Read more
