When you book a room in an Ibis hotel you expect a certain standard. Well with that one you get it. Quiet and clean room, friendly staff and a very excellent breakfast buffet. That was really a surprise specially in France where you should be happy with a cup of coffee and a croissant. A fridge could have been welcomed. The location is fine for touring the city. However it is a bit confusing to get there by car at night when one does not know about the area. Easy to take the wrong lane and find ... Read more

No doubt the location is super excellent. The hotel was clean and staffs were friendly. However, the rooms didn't have coffee machine or even water bottles. No refrigerator as well. If you wanna stay for one night or two, its fine, but more than that - may be look into more options.

Enjoyed staying here. Location is great, room was large, bright, clean and, very quiet given its location. Easy access to old part of town with shops, museums, landmarks. Discounted secure parking a bonus, along with free wifi. Only minor point is that breakfast was chaotic - a small dining area for so many guests so noisy, cramped and some food items like fresh bread kept running out. But only a small point to improve. Would recommend this hotel.

A very conveniently situated hotel right next to Perrache railway station. Staff spoke excellent English and were very friendly and helpful. Usual Ibis comfort and value for money. Room was good and the bathroom was larger than some I've stayed in. Recommended.

This is like a hotel rather than a motel. Not too far from town center, next to an historic train station and an excellent brasserie. The parking is difficult to find. â?¬28 for two nights(!). The map they gave us had been printed as the printer was running out of ink. It was so faint we couldn't read some of the streets, and it got dicey finding our way there and back. We wanted a bathtub, so we were on the 6th floor: rm 617. The bathroom is huge. Oddly, hairdryer was across the large way to... Read more

I've stayed here before, and will again. The reception is friendly and helpful, and English is spoken. The famous Brasserie Georges, which is celebrating it's 150th anniversary, is only about 10m from the entrance to the hotel, and has service outside normal meal times, which may be important for hungry travelers. The room was very quiet, in spite of being very close to the Perrache train station.

Location next to Perrrache railway station makes accessing public transport very easy and is a short walk to many restaurants/shops etc. Friendly check-in reception staff, very comfortable room and surprisingly quiet given the nearby train station. Lacks a fridge in the room and decent vegetarian food options. Didn't try breakfast. Good free wifi

It was a very good spot. It is ideal for a long and short term stay, as the train station etc is literally right beside the hotel. It is also walking distance to the centre of the city and the old town in which both are good for food and beer. The rooms where cleaned well everyday. The bar stops serving alcohol early, but we brought carry outs from the shop which is a few doors up and drunk them in the bar and nothing was said.

We stayed here for 3 nights whilst attending England vs Slovakia game in St Etienne. The hotel is in a perfect location, just a short walk to many bars and restaurants in the square where the fanzone was held. Also the train station is next door so it is easy to commute around the city on the underground. The hotel itself was great, 24 hour bar and the rooms were large and beds comfortable. Would recommend.

I was kind of skeptical at first because it was so cheap to book a room. Actually was a very quaint hotel. The staff was absolutely amazing. The room was clean. The breakfast buffet was delicious. When it came time to checkout, the front desk ordered me a cab so I could get to my next destination. I would recommend this hotel to anybody.

We stayed here whilst attending the Northern Ireland vs Ukraine European Championship match at the Stade de Lyon. This was a nice friendly hotel - part of the Ibis/Accor group. The staff were very friendly and spoke excellent English - much better than my French! The rooms were clean but, from a UK tourist point of view, could do with tea/coffee making facilities and a coupe of extra pillows as standard. The free wi-fi was pretty good. The only thing that let the hotel down was the price - for w... Read more

Booked this hotel for when Ireland were playing France in Lyon. Nice Hotel, Staff are friendly and the rooms are clean and perfect. Bit of a walk(20mins) if you want to find a few pubs/clubs for bit of late night banter. But couldn't fault otherwise! Literally perfect travel connections right beside the train station.

Typical Ibis. maybe a little dated but very efficient. Good location near tube and mainline stations. Probably not great for kids but fine for group of friends. Lovely old Lyonnaid restaurant next door one side and bar the other.

The evening hotel staff member, Cyril, was rude and disrespectful when we asked for help in cooling our rooms. He refused us cooler bed linens, blamed the lack of A/C on western facing windows and was very dismissive. The hotel was being renovated but his attitude was what ruined our stay. Other staff were very helpful. Very disappointed.

Spent a lovely few days in Lyon, this hotel is in an excellent location near to the railway station and within a few minutes walk of the city centre. The hotel is not flash but the room was very comfortable and clean. There is building work going on downstairs but this did not affect the stay. Breakfast is lovely, it is a help yourself cold buffet for about 9 euros. The main positive was the people working in the hotel, from the reception staff to the breakfast staff, they were all extremely pol... Read more

This hotel is well-placed very close to the UNESCO world heritage site of Lyon's old town. The reception and public areas of the hotel are currently (early August 2016) undergoing some pretty major refurbishment work. This does mean there is dust and noise in the entrance part of the hotel. This probably mostly impacts the reception staff. There are no bar or restaurant facilities in the hotel at present, but I believe this is because those areas are undergoing major work at present. The rooms ... Read more
