You really do get what you pay for. Room is worn and weary looking, large, but lacking basic amenities like somewhere to set a suitcase other than the floor. The bath was newly renovated, but has no place to set a bag of toiletries. It is impossible to take a shower without the water spraying all over the floor, which will not dry because the room is not ventilated and unheated. The bed is too low, but not uncomfortable, they provide pillows and blankets - good, because they send up ve... Read more

I have stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. The location is very good, in the heart of Lyon, all the attractions are nearby. The rooms are big but very old and tired. It was very cold in the room, felt same as outside. There was 24 hours wifi, but very weak equal you do not have it and cuts every 10 minutes. The staff was very kind and ready to help. The money we payed for the hotel was very high for this hotel.

I have stayed in this hotel several times when in Lyon to visit friends and have returned because it is small, friendly and good value for money. The staff are very friendly and helpful and speak good English. True the rooms and decor are a bit tired, and some refurbishment would not go amiss, but the hotel provides the basics- a clean room, wi-fi, 24 hour reception and luggage store. It is in the centre of Lyon in walking distance of all the attractions, with easy access to the old town, restau... Read more

Booked this hotel for 2 nights but only stayed for one. We had requested a room with air conditioning but that did not happen. You had to open the shutters for cool air but that let in the mosquitos & the noise. Although the room was large with a decent bathroom it was very dark unless you pulled the net curtains back & then you looked at a roof covered in cigarette butts & you could see right into the other rooms on the same floor. At 2am we were still awake because of the heat & noise from ro... Read more

We picked this hotel for location and the small French hotel charm. The staff was very warm and helpful. We invited friends staying in another hotel to share a bottle of wine we had brought. The staff provided wine glasses. The hotel is very close to the daily farmers market. We picked up food/wine for a picnic. The rains came and the staff helped us picnic in the breakfast area! The recommendation for dining were wonderful.

Very good little hotel with all The necessary commodities. Nothing fancy for the price. Staff was helpful, the hotel was central and clean. The single room was quite big i must say. Wifi was free and worked ok, could be improved. Great stay for me! Breakfast is not expensive. Luggage storage possible.

This is a quite small hotel in the old town district. I couldn't tell if it had once been a grand house that was converted, or if it had an earlier other use. Either way, its a rather tired property, which would benefit from some upgrading. I had a single room, which was higher than its width, but adequately equipped. So far so negative, so on the positive side, the cost of accommodation was very reasonable, it was clean, the staff pleasant, and over all for 2 nights I slept well, which is mainl... Read more

Well situated in down town of old city, very easy to go to the main view/cultural sites of Lyon, like la place Terreaux, Lyon opera house. I just stayed one night in this hotel, room and service were good.

Great location, and really surprising to see how this place has survived without someone investing to make it a high-end hotel. It's more like a hostel, in my opinion, and could be quite scary for someone visiting alone. Room was nothing special and my night's sleep was interrupted by two other guests carrying on upstairs. After 20 mins of "ahhh oui, aaah oui", I finally got my head down for 6 hours before I had to get up to move the car from the street parking spot that became a paid zone from ... Read more
