Needed a place to stay in the centre of Lille for 4 days. Novotel Lille Centre Grand Place was ideally located. Having arrived by Eurostar we took a taxi to the hotel (a good choice as it would have been a good 15 - 20 minute walk, with luggage and poor signposting). Warm welcome awaited with reception staff fluent in English. We had booked our usual twin room so it was disappointing to find that the "twin room" was in fact a double bed and a sofa bed. Whilst the sofa bed was larger than s... Read more

I stayed in Lille for 2 nights and chose this Novotel because of its central location. It is much like every Novotel, very clean and well maintained but a bit spartan. The service was very good and the restaurant was acceptable but not exceptional. The breakfast is very good. Getting from the public parking to the hotel with luggage is a bit awkward. Overall very good value.

Central hotel, very clean and comfortable, near to most tourist sites. However, I received my credit card bill and it included a charge for breakfast each morning, which we did not eat !!. When i queried this, I was told that when you use the fast checkout system, breakfast is AUTOMATICALLY invoiced, and you have to request a refund. Good job I checked my statement.

We stayed just one night over the weekend. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from the Grand Place and a great location for food and sightseeing - Lille has become a really cool town. The hotel itself was quite average; after walls and ceilings and first time I've been in a hotel room where there was an empty toilet roll. It's fine - so long as you're okay with it being a place to crash. Shower was good and beds were comfy. We would stay again if we're in the area because the price was cheap... Read more

Joined my wife on a business trip and we took our little one with us. Lille is a nice city, it positively surprised us. The Hotel is OK, not really good, but not bad either. The staff is very friendly and the location is good. 5 - 10 minutes walking to the old city centre. The rooms are OK. The bed is comfy, the shower small, and the airconditinioning was turned off. We called, and they explained that it was cold (16 degrees) that week so they turned it off. It was 20-24 degrees when we were the... Read more
