Just got back from a week at this hotel. Stayed here 10 years ago too. Great location, really great food, clean room & bathroom. Fantastic chef & friendly staff too. Staff were a credit to the Hotels manager, nothing was too much trouble, even guests with food intolerances were well catered for too, a big thank you to 'Hannah' for sorting out my endless requests for gluten free bread & checking the menu each night was suitable for me. Ski in ski out was good, boot room & ski hire all on base fl... Read more

This was our first Mark Warner ski holiday and we will definitely be going back again in the future. We have always gone skiing each year, but this was the first time as parents, with a 16month old. This certainly made it more challenging, but thankfully the staff at the Tarentaise were excellent. First the location - Meribel Mottaret is perfectly situated in the middle of the 3 valleys area meaning you can take just one lift to access the other valleys. The other great thing is that this is a... Read more

Just returned from a weeks holiday with my sister who is a Mark Warner devotee, her friend and our three children. I was surprised and disappointed by the state of the hotel which is tiny although well located on the slopes which is virtually the only good thing about it. The rooms were shabby as was the dining room and bar which reeked of stale cigarettes and alcohol. I realised upon arrival that although we had paid £2400 for a weeks holiday with my 16 year old son this was nowhere near th... Read more

If you are considering this hotel please be aware that theft is a big issue here. Rooms have been entered by someone either with keys or having stolen keys from reception (very poor security here) and money has been stolen from a number of rooms year on year. Mark Warner have not done anything to improve security here despite it happening before (see previous reviews on trip adviser and we have since found out it has happened in previous years as well) and it happened again this year when we wer... The room was overlooking the slope(you could touch the snow) the room was clean & bright & of a good size with an extra bed(single & double) The food was quite good, buffet breakfast, afternoon tea & a 3 course evening meal. Our friends had children who used the child care that was available, this was there 2nd stay at this hotel chosen for the great service they recieved. The hotel is ski in ski out & in a g...
