Needed somewhere quickly and at a busy time so booked this hotel. Read some reviews and after asking the hotel direct what it was like they convinced me it was ok. Stayed in better motorway services than here, One good thing the room was spotlessly clean and two of the receptionists were pleasant. Breakfast was hit and miss, Some days the breads were fresh others stale, same as the rest of the breakfast buffet. On the plus side the beach right on the doorstep and peaceful setting were a bonus.

A bit shabby and could do with a bit of an overhaul but for the money in the South of France generally a good holiday. The staff were always lovely and helpful and the rooms spotlessly clean. The location could not be better, right on the beach with sea view rooms and an indoor swimming pool with direct access to beach. Breakfast was a bit samey but something to eat for everyone, fruit, yoghurt, cereals, cold meats, cheeses, croissants, pain au chocolate, various breads, bacon and omlettes. Even... Read more

The photographs on the website are unrecognisable and nothing like the reality, the terrace is as near as we could judge to be similar, even the sun loungers and umbrellas are very different. The whole hotel is shabby and run-down, there are no comfortable areas to sit and relax as there is no lounge. There is one large room divided for eating down one side, on the other side is a small unmanned bar at one end and about eleven wicker chairs with no cushions. The bedrooms are a disgrace, the girl... Read more

The hotel is situated right along the beach, it has its own private beech were you can purchase for hire, sunbeds. This is excellent, then you look at the inside of the hotel, The review named, "DEPLORABLE" paints a very accurate picture, if I had to right a report it would be the same, virtualy word for word. The area is very beautiful, the public transport is cheap, when there is a bus, My wife and I will not return to the area, if we did, we would find an alternative hotel

We were a little wary after recent reviews and arrived today not entirely sure what to expect. We know the area well and love the beach but had never stayed in the hotel before. It is true that some areas of the hotel are a little worn but the atmosphere is lovely and the place is very clean. Our room is lovely and we have everything we need. We are staying half board and enjoyed our evening meal. I'll update this after breakfast or at the end of our stay. Make no mistake if the hotel was refurb... Read more

the staff are on the whole delightful. shabby chic is not the term we would use - shabby yes, but not chic. the rooms are just adequate, the loos unbelievably tiny, and the bathrooms very cramped. The standard of cooking is really pretty dire- we come to France for the cuisine, it is so good normally, but sadly it is pretty awful here, and we feel very badly let down by Saga.

There's a lot of good things one can say about this hotel. The location, the hardworking friendly staff, the price and the incredible and peaceful beach is literally yards away. And the surrounding area is glorious to explore as we did with a hire car. But the kitchen and waiting staff are having major problems that frankly are entirely unacceptable. Arguing, shouting and at one point almost starting to physically fight each other. One of them reaking of drink and cigarettes who almost snapped a... Read more

Booked three weeks through Saga. Reception Dinner held on terrace-bitterly cold. Requests to move indoors were rudely rejected by Head Waiter. Two hour wait for Dinner which was scraggy lamb. Any request to Head Waiter at Dinner-for variations-rudely rejected. He would then go to the other side of the Restaurant and laugh with French Clients, who would look across at whoever he was targetting that evening. What a way for Saga to treat their clients, who are often elderly and frail. Bedrooms were... Read more

This was our second visit to this hotel and the reason we came back is its position right on the beach. I absolutely agree with others that the decor is tired and is in desperate need of updating. The current decor gives the feeling that the hotel is stuck in a time warp sometime around the mid to late seventies. If Ibersol invested a few quid to bring the place up to date it could be fantastic. I have to say that the restaurant was somewhat chaotic on the evening we ate there. Although the fo... Read more
