Stopped with family on way back to UK from Brittany. We were given upgrades on all three rooms which was a pleasant surprise. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Rooms large, spotless and well equipped. Good location with many excellent restaurants close by. Breakfast and underground parking extra. If approaching from the south, you need to cross the toll bridge over the Seine estuary which on a Saturday afternoon required queuing for over an hour. Not the hotel's fault.

With 2 adults and 2 teens we decided "last minute" to do a short week trip to Normandy. We found this Mercure in Le Havre, as we only had to pay around eur 100 for a suite / family room per night, breakfast included. The room itself is big enough, although the second bed is not big enough really for teens, better for younger kids. Also the toilet is not seperate and the bathroom amenities supplied are "just enough" ... nothing extra or luxurious you would expect in a 4 star hotel. Bedding, wifi ... Read more

We give this hotel excellent rating because it provided the friendliest customer service among the rest of the 4-star hotels we stayed in during our 3-week tour in France. Also the price was fantastic for this hotel class and for its good location. I have booked from Expedia one room for 3 people. Upon arrival, they gave us 2 connecting rooms without any additional charge. This upgrade was wonderful and we appreciated it a lot! I have no idea whether they simply had extra available rooms, or thi... Read more

Sometimes a hotel stands out based on how the staff deals with unpleasant issues. I had discovered some unwanted little creatures in my bed. When I brought this to the attention of the hotel's front desk staff, they immediately kicked into high gear: they switched me to a different room and offered to have my entire wardrobe dry-cleaned at their cost. My travel companion who stayed in a different room had no issues (he inspected his bed thoroughly after my discovery), nor did I have any issues i... Read more

Stay away! What a shame. Not by far a 4-star hotel! Dated rooms (1970's dated!) basic bathrooms, no toiletries, empty fridge. The shock comes right after check in and after finding that your credit card is going to be charged 140 euros extras until check out (70 euros per adult charged as a warrant for future expenses). Take care of bank commissions if you have international currencies with these charged in charged out euros. Really, what Accor idiot had this stupid idea of putting guests under ... Read more

At first sight it felt a bit too simple for a Mercure - felt like an Ibis. Maybe it's just getting old, in need of some renovation. But it's not bad. The room was so dark and quiet at night, and the bed very comfortable - we slept so well here. Recommended for a quick stay in Le Havre.

Beautifully comfortable bedrooms in a typical Mercure, this one in a pleasant location. Friendly welcome and great service. Dinner was poor but breakfast was excellent. Very happy with mybstay and the price paid. Le Havre is not the most exciting of locations.

My wife and i stayed there in august 2016 for a week end visiting Le Havre city center. this hotel is very well situated, walking distance from the old city center. we see that the room is getting old, and the bathroom as well. i ususally go to some more modern Mercure, that's why i was a bit surprised. however it was very clean, i cannot complain about this. there is an underground car park available, the entrance is a bit tricky, and there is no direct access to the hotel. however there is a c... For us this is just the best, the staff are like friends and look after us from the reception, the bar, and the restaurant. Nothing is too much trouble for them and we always feel at home here. We have been told last time about some changes coming with re furbishment of the rooms. We were shown one recently completed room and were even offered the key to try it for free. We did not change rooms as we were already settled in but we did have a good look and wow it was all new modern including the ... Read more
