Well, what can I say that others have not; firstly I need to agree that this is definitely worth its 5 Star rating. This is a gorgeous Hotel in an idyllic location that oozes with charm and style. Rooms were lovely along with a very comfortable bed. Walking around the grounds is a must, with the kitchen garden at the back with the smells of every herb conceivable, to the front with olive and young lines of palm trees that lead down through the grape vines to the beach. The beach didn‚??t quite ... Read more

Positives: - Gorgeous facilities and grounds, nice beach and spa - Clean and luxurious - We probably booked one of the smaller rooms and it was of adequate size. - Excellent restaurant - Heated pool, sauna, and steam rooms were kept hot. - Loved the L'Occitaine toiletries in the room and in the spa. - Got a great deal on the hotel website. 3 days for the price of 2. Negatives: - While the food is of very high quality, it is of commensurate price. As an older couple, we need lighter and less e... Read more

Beautiful Chateau, friendly staff and service wanted for nothing and worthy of 5*s. Wouldn't describe it as great value (our room looked out on a courtyard and could hear the laundry/housekeeping room below late into the evening) though all relative given the locale. Everything else about Chateau de Valmer was lovely. Great breakfast/garden/pool/spa area, 5 mins wander to a great beach, free mountain bikes were a bonus (Cap Lardier nearby is worth a cycle if fit!).

What a lovely place. The walk through the park and vineyard to the beach was a good way to start the day. Discrete, nice staff, pretty and with good food. A real treat to finish our summer holidays. We loved it.

What else could one ask for ? The hotel is very nice, with very nice views in a very nice setting and with very friendly staff... I am good at complaining and finding what's wrong but didn't find much with Chateau de Valmer, perhaps they are going overboard with notices in the rooms and should bring the bill for breakfast...after they actually give you something to eat or drink...! A great place which I would recommend !

We were thoroughly spoilt in this perfect setting. Modern and comprehensive facilities and a perfect spa and pool. Breakfast on the balcony of our room was bliss and there was a good cooperation with the sister hotel on the beach.

This hotel is dead quiet even when full. There is nobody to be found in the bar in the evening and it has the atmosphere of a morgue. But the grounds are really pretty and if you are lucky enough to get a 2nd floor room then you may have a good view over the vineyard towards the sea. Otherwise you will have a view of roofs even if you booked a 'sea view' room. They serve dinner but it is really expensive and they encourage you to reserve a table on your first evening - before you get there and re... Having just returned from holiday(June 2016) from a place where i have stayed many times i was reminding myself of just how wonderful Chateau Valmer is. The staff & the food are a complete delight.. Residents also have the benefit of using the sister hotel La Pinede which is placed right on the beach. i could go on but if you don't enjoy staying here you would have to be very hard to please. We have stayed every year at the Chateau for many years and it continues to improve, luxurious and peaceful, very relaxing. It is a pleasure to see the friendly staff who are exceedingly helpful and very professional. We will return in 2017.

Absolutely fantastic place, excellent location with private beach in one of the most beautifull parts of Cote d'Azur. Professional, helpful and invisible staff, good food and wine. Definetely we will come back.

Stayed here for a few nights in June. We had previously stayed in the sister hotel- Pinede Plage which we found OK and we thought that Chateau Valmer may be - well- a bit dated..... how wrong we were! Yes- it had a comfortable country house feel- but dated- no way! It is beautiful inside and out. The room was spacious, with comfortable bed and all the amenities you expect in a hotel of this quality. Our room on the ground floor looked out onto the herb garden and had a table and chairs on a terr... Read more

We stayed in the family treehouse. It was mostly for our children but we loved it too. The rooms are not huge but they are very charming and you have air con, wifi and nice bathrooms plus you are up a tree, so it's quiet and peaceful. It's not cheap - but you get what you pay for. The reception staff are very helpful and kind, and we thought the dinner was excellent. It's never going to be cheap food, but it was excellent. We also found some great restaurants a short walk away which were equall... Read more

We had a very poor experience at this hotel and found it totally changed from our experience a few years ago. Our room was supposed to have a view of the sea, but instead we had a view of some kitchen roof and shed. We asked about this, but were told that the good views were reserved for clients who requested them by phone. Obviously more important than us. Well, that is a shame that they don‚??t warn about that, because a room with a sea view is totally different to one without any, and shoul... Read more

My wife and I enjoyed a two night stay in May. The hotel is extremely comfortable and is presented to a very high standard. The service is attentive and staff on reception most helpful. We walked to the beach and had lunch at the sister hotel. We were very pleased to have chosen Chateau Valmer

One of the best hotels in the region if you seek a great location with beach, fine cuisine and great service. Close to drive to St tropez and its beaches. Super chilled location and with use of its sister hotel facilities at Pinede Plage. Great family hotel but not cheap !

First time in Valmer under heat wave, the vegetable/kitchen garden is superb with an unprecedented variety of plants and the famous collection of cucurbitaceas. The reminiscence of the previous castle highlighted by yew hedges is striking. The whole domain is producing Vouvray with different methods and it is worth tasting and taking some with you.

Very French bureaucratic place, everything is according to the rules: Room service destroyed a bottle of Champagne in the room which killed my daughters brand new iPhone. But the director asked the room service and they said no so it must be a "no" and the hotel "can absolutely not take any responsibility", according to the rules... Kids were not allowed to dive in the pool, according to the rules when another French guest complained at the director..... When checking out we received a call at 1... Read more
