We stayed here for five days of skiing, the rooms are quite large and the beds are comfortable. The owner is upgrading rooms all the time and setting the bar high. The ski lockers have boot dryers so you'll never have cold damp feet its only about 4 minutes walk from the Grand Montets cable car and gondolas, which have been updated from chairs since we were here last. Super breakfast which will fill you up for the day ahead. There is no restaurant for other meals but there are plenty good op... Read more

Never having been to Chamonix it was difficult to pick a good place to stay. I have to say that the Hotel Les Grands Montets was the best decision we could have made. The rooms were wonderful, the staff was exceptional and the amenities were fabulous. The hotel is situated right next to the Grands Montets ski area, so it is a short walk to the base tram or gondola, with several ski shops and apre-ski bars right there. You can also catch the free shuttle bus to other ski areas in the valley from ... Read more

The hotel is as charming inside as the photos of the outside depict. We had a lovely stay and were well-cared for by the staff. Our room was clean, the Wi-Fi was strong and the property is well-maintained with a nice spa area: pool, whirlpool, sauna and steam. The short walk to both the tram and gondola of Grand Montets makes this hotel an easy choice for any visit to Chamonix. We loved their included breakfast and the split level rooms are ideal for a family.

OK, I am biased!! I have been staying at the Hotel Grands Montets for many years during the winter season. My reason - it is the best 4* in the Chamonix Valley (I once researched, i.e. actually visited, every single hotel of this standard in the Valley before settling on it) If you come to ski the Valley most people will think that Chamonix town is the best place to stay â?? wrong. OK, it is a great town but unless you are near a lift you will have a long hike (in Ski Boots, etc.) and wait in ... Read more

My family of 8, (6 adults, 1 child and 1 infant) stayed at the hotel in February. Let's start with the good. The staff are very friendly. Specials thanks to Sophie (I hope I spelt her name correctly). She provided lots of information, recommended and booked restaurants, got us beer and water on the first night (we arrived at 10p.m.) when we needed them most, and most importantly, she was ALWAYS around. she didn't seem to get off work! View from the breakfast area was fantastic! Rooms are ... Read more
