Very pleasant 3 night stay (via Brittany ferries). Only slight upset was that we were unable to upgrade to a balcony room even though we agreed to pay extra! Reason given was they were all taken, but even a casual observer would see this to be untrue! The hotel was almost empty and balcony rooms plentiful! Apart form this quirky decision the staff were friendly and helpful. The pool a bonus and the breakfast excellent.

Good hotel, pleasant staff, good location. The hotel was good value for money. The location is close to town and had easy access to surrounding restaurants. The restaurant was closed during our stay. It was a good touringbase

Stayed here for 2 nights from October 28 to 30 October 2016. Hotel was very clean staff very friendly and very helpful. Bedrooms and bathroom very clean and adequate.Breakfast was very good with really good choice from cereals to continental to hot food and in plentiful supply. Quite good position overlooking race-course and around 10 minute walk to town centre and beach. Would definitely return

We chose and stayed for three nights beginning of October as part of a Brittany Ferries package and found the hotel to be welcoming, clean and comfortable. It's on the outskirts of Carbourg and in a quiet location. Our room was on the front of the hotel, second floor with a balcony, which allowed us to watch the horse and trap racing for two of the three nights. The king sized bed was extremely comfortable, whilst a single bed was also in the room. Breakfast was absolutely fine, Continental with... Read more

We'd agree with other comments here that this isn't a four star hotel but if you travel regularly in France you may share our view that the star system is generous to hotels in comparison to other countries, so it met our expectations. Friendly staff, efficient, clean, comfortable, convenient, good value, nice area. Find it a bit odd that some people here book a hotel right next to the Hippodrome (sporting and horse racing events) and then complain about crowds on event days. Duh(!) Cabourg... Read more

nice enough but a bit disappointing as expected 4 star as advertised - room reminded me of Premier Inn - beds very comfortable and good breakfast if expensive at 16 euros - about 10/12 minutes walk to shopping area and restaurants with a further 10/12 minutes to the beach and promanade

A very pleasant, relaxing, stay. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. As its name implies, the hotel overlooks the hippodrome so the area is probably busier (and noisier) on race days. There is an independent restaurant adjacent ("L'Annexe") in which we ate the first evening. The buffet style breakfast in the hotel provided a very wide selection - including scrambled/boiled eggs, bacon & sausages! It is a gentle 10 minutes stroll from the hotel to the town centre where there is a wide cho... Read more

We enjoyed a quiet clean room with a balcony overlooking the racecourse, comfy bed (mattress not those soggy memory foam numbers!) and the hotel has lots of flowers everywhere - very smart. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and the Indoor swimming looked nice. The restaurant is next door and not part of the hotel (and not seemingly always open), menu looked reasonably upmarket but we did not eat in. Top tip - 5 mins. down the road is a fantastic shop called 'Boulangerie Patisserie Balb... Read more
