The hotel is great with lots of free parking, the rooms are really nice and the staff are amongst the friendliest I have met. Overall, it is a great hotel, but it feels isolated from the rest of Bordeaux. It was perfect for my visit because I was going to the new stadium, but as far as getting to downtown Bordeaux I was forced to drive any where I wanted to go that wasn't the stadium. If you don't mind driving in and out of Bordeaux it is a great hotel, I just prefer being able to walk everyw... Read more

Our original room was on the ground floor, had a window that barely opened, and had a leaky, dripping shower. We requested another room, which was on a high floor. This room was great. The window opened wide for cool air, and the king-sized bed was comfortable. There were separate WC and shower rooms, a safe, and a small refrigerator. Our booking included breakfast, which was a good buffet in the dining room. Since we had a car, the free, secured parking was a bonus. The staff was very he... Read more

Booked a superior room on route from Spain to the UK. Comfortable large bed and great bathroom. That's the good stuff out the way. A fancy Nespresso coffee machine with flimsy paper cups and cheap plastic glasses usually found at an Ibis Budget. As a "loyal" guest, I'm entitled to a free drink. This was received, but I had to pay for my wife's drink. This is the first time In any Accor group hotel I have been asked to pay, apparently on the Directors orders. Went for dinner, and my wife ordered ... Read more

We stayed at this property for 2 nights, with 2 children aged 1 & 3. Our stay was just as a layover before relocating to a self-contained apartment for the rest of our stay. We found the property more than adequate for this purpose and overall enjoyed our stay. Rooms were comfortable, clean and accommodated the 4 of us easily. The breakfast was lovely with a great variety. The ladies on reception were great, with their english and tried there upmost best to understand and converse with us. If yo... Read more

Stayed here for one night after 24 day tour round Italy and S France to break up journey home. Stayed here a few years ago and it has changed quite a bit. Smart looking hotel, easy check in and room was lovely, overlooking the lake. As with all these hotels, popular for conferences, coach parties etc so difficult to find personal service although very friendly girl at check in. Had dinner in the restaurant which was ok plus you can have bar snacks which work out cheaper. Despite busy hotel very... Read more

I took an executive room which includes minibar, Nespresso machine and bathrobes and superior products. I had a very good night sleep! I was initially worried when i noticed my room was right besides the elevator but the elevator was extremely silent and the room very soundproof.

Really disappointed - this is maybe the worst review I have written. Here on business and paid 160E per night single occupancy and 15E breakfast. Reception is lovely, and the bar area. And thats it. There is one lift, so used the stairs often - very dirty and tired and smelt of urine. Corridors were tired and grubby. The standard room was fine, tired, mildew and mould in the bathroom with hair on the walls, a damaged fridge with one bottle of water and two tiny pots of milk, a kettle (no coff... Read more

Had a great time during my two day stay at Novotel Lac. The location is pleasant, right next to the lake, really nice for a jog around the lake. The facilities are completely renovated and stylish, and the room and bathroom very comfortable. Breakfast was really excellent with lots of healthy choices. We had a glass of wine at the bar, they have a great selection by the glass. Everything was easy and convenient. The staff was very friendly and efficient. Fantastic experience.

OK hotel with some minor and major failures. First: The DO NOT DISTURB-sign on my door means DO NOT DISTURB!!! The cleaning personel knocks on the door even if the DND-sign is up. When I didn't open they called from the reception and asked why I didn't open... DO NOT DISTURB!!! Second: In the "old" part of the hotel the door to the stairs on 3'rd floor slams REALLY LOUD when it closes. I told the reception who responded: Yes we know, and still after 20 days it stil slams... Third: It smells li... Read more

Stayed here for a couple of nights during the Euro's. Paid a premium on match day, but great access to stadium half mile away. Very helpful lady on reception. Allowed us to check in early. Very helpful when unsatisfied with smell of cigarette smoke in room. Swapped us over with no problem, despite them being full. Food at lunchtime was great and enjoyed breakfast. This hotel is a little way from main centre, but Tram stop to town centre just a couple of hundred metres away. Tram ticket machine o... Read more

Novotel is our hotel chain of choice, and we have stayed here before. The hotel is situated overlooking the lac, and is about a five minute walk (max) from two tram stops leading into the town. Lots of parking, and the ample staff are very courteous & helpful. Breakfast is very good, whether one opts to eat in the restaurant / terrace, or choose to have their breakfast delivered to their room. There is a great garden terrace and pool, and all in all, the hotel is ideal for a stay in Bordeaux - w... Read more

Your average novotel business hotel. Rooms following the standard, nothing special but ok space and clean. The breakfast, restaurant and terrace are nice, bit above average. Good meeting rooms on site. Ok for business. p.s. situated at the lake sounds better thant that it is in reality :)

Chose this hotel for its installations aimed at families: pool, lounge, location. It's out of central Bordeaux, but easily accessed by tram. The location has a huge commerce centre nearby: Ikea, supermarket, fnac, Leroy-merlin, etc. Very convenient. Staff was helpful, rooms new, spacious and clean. Plus: free parking.

The hotel is situated just outside the Bordeaux motorway ring-road, and has a large secure car park. Access to the center of Bordeaux is easy via the tramway which is 200 m from the hotel and takes about 30 minutes to Bordeaux St Jean station. The hotel is on the side of a small lake, and is within walking distance of the Stadium and the Palais des Expo. many of the rooms have views over the lake. The rooms are tastefully decorated in the Novotel style, the bathroom has a large Italian style ... Read more

Air conditioning was broken, it was very hot and the rooms full of mosquitos!! Eventhough I did not opened the Windows my two sons got all bitten. See pintures attached. Luckily we stayed for only 2 nights!! The housekeeper has entered without any reason twice into our room while we were inside. The first one I was pushed with the door when she tried to entered and fall in the floor. We only stayed two nights and the kids wished we had stayed much longer. Beautiful hotel with very helpful, friendly staff. No issues with wifi, secure parking, nice pool area. Just off the lobby is a kids entertainment area with video games and other activities. Tram stop is just off the back of the hotel, and in 20 mins, you are in central Bordeaux.

Stayed 1 night on route from Spain to the UK by car. Secure parking, Wi-Fi, fairly small but comfortable room. Not the best Novotel we have stayed in but perfectly acceptable for the price we paid which was reasonable value. Breakfast buffet extra at 16 euros each, which isn't relatively expensive for what they have on offer..

Stayed here for 2 nights at the end of July and was very pleased with both the accommodation and location. The hotel was very clean, nice room, free parking and wifi. We are in the restaurant which was very nice good quick service, the fish and chips were great. Just a short walk to the tram stop which took you directly into Bordeaux Centre Would definitely recommend.

Yes, bedding and furniture resemble the Novotel feeling, but room size and especially the bathroom let this Novotel rather appear like an Ibis. Even the breakfast lacks some of the favourites like Bircher Musli e.g. In the other hand the location close to the Motorways is great and the train into town is just a couple of steps away.

We twice spent a night at this hotel, on our way to oir holiday destination and back. Big advantage with Novotel is the children under 16 free policy, but this hotel is situated outside Bordeaux with a tramway connection to the city center just in front of it. Good price quality balance with just minor flaws.

I've already filled in a survey about this hotel but I wanted to do it again on here! This is a lovely Novotel Hotel. A great stopover from UK to Spain. Clean, comfortable, great shower and bath products and extremely helpful staff. We booked an executive room and got free minibar with robes and slippers. I was really grateful for the effort they made with gluten free options for breakfast. I had informed them when I booked that I have coeliac disease and they assured me that I would have gluten... Spotless rooms and a good size for two people to share, a sofa can be made up into a bed for families. We used the hotel as a base for touring Bordeaux and didn't eat here. There is a tram stop right outside and the cost at the time was 1.5 euro for a ticket right to the city centre. There is a car park on site and the whole complex is secured at night with a keypad entry for access.
