A group of us stayed at the Alcyon to attend a wedding. Lovely little hotel. I shared a room with a friend, we did book a twin but when we arrived it was a double bed, on our way out we talked to reception and by the time we were back from dinner they split the beds. It is about a 10 minute walk to the beach. Wifi was unreliable, but decent if you are looking something up online (not suitable for working/uploading photos) The staff are wonderful, very helpful and available. My friend and I... Read more

The Hotel Alcyon was exactly what we wanted - a charming B&B, nicely furnished, in a good location. It reminded us of boutique hotels in San Francisco. We rented two rooms for 3 of us and both were very nice. We like sleeping with the windows open but one night we had a birthday group across the street and closed the windows. They must be of the best quality because we couldn't hear a thing. The women who work there were exceptionally helpful. Christina helped us find great restaurants by d... Read more

My fiancé and I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Alcyon in Biarritz. It is a gorgeous boutique hotel, a very short walk from the bus stop, beach and centre of town. Our room was the best in the hotel on the top floor with a wrap around balcony. The room was spacious, well decorated and very clean. We loved the room and hotel. The host was very helpful and informative, she recommended an excellent basque restaurant nearby. I would highly recommend this hotel!

This is a fabulous boutique hotel. Great location. The rooms are charming and extremely comfortable. The breakfast is very nice. Christina, the owner, and her team, took such GREAT care of us! They made our wedding anniversary very special. It is close to some of the most fantastic restaurants (Le Clos Basque for one) and 7 min to the beach.

My wife and I stayed here for the weekend of our 21st anniversary. We chose this hotel mainly because of price and location although at the ‚?¨100-130 range, there are plenty of hotels to choose from in the area. There are only 12 rooms and we had the smallest room which was fine for us. It still had a small desk, fridge, iron and board and a nice sized bathroom with shower. There was an outlet strip near the head of the bed which is nice to have for your phone. The d√©cor was modern and elegant... Read more

My sister and I stayed at the Alcyon for a couple of nights. It is a very nice little hotel, a short walk away from the beach, Les Halles, bars and restaurants. The staff are friendly and welcoming particularly as our plane was delayed. Our twin bedroom was large, clean and very comfortable with an excellent en suite and a great shower. We stayed in for breakfast mainly because the weather was so bad but glad we did because it was plentiful and a good start to the day. Like a previous comm... Read more

We stayed for 3 nights and it is an extremely well run 3 star establishment. Rooms were clean and bright and away from the noise of the town while still within a 5 mins walk to the centre if town and beaches. The hostess was friendly and professional couldn't recommend high ly enough

My daughter and I stayed here for several nights. We liked the location. The room was a very nice size. It was clean and quiet. The breakfast was excellent. The hotel was small enough that you knew the staff after a day or two and you felt very comfortable there. The location was just a few blocks from the beach. It was just far enough away that the area felt neighborhoody instead of touristy. The only downside was I thought the wifi was a little iffy. We had to go to the lobby several ... Read more

This was a four night experience for a middle aged married couple in love ‚?§Ôł?. We arrived at the hotel before noon and to our surprise the room was already ready for us. What a pleasant welcome as we had woken up before 4am to catch our early morning flight to Biarriz. The hotel is small, with no restaurant, but in the neighbourhood there are tens of absolutely great places to lunch and dine - we definitely recommend fish and seafood as the city is right on the Atlantic coast. And the beach w... Read more

We stayed here for 2 nights on our way to San Sebasti√°n. The room is good, bathroom is unexpectedly big so that was a good surprise. The receptionist is very friendly and smiley which gives a very warm welcome. The location is great as it is very close to everything.

We stayed at the hotel for one night on a recent trip. Unfortunately we seemed to pick a festival weekend which meant that nearly all the hotels were fully booked and overpriced! We paid ‚?¨140 Euros plus city tax and without having breakfast for the night. The hotel is located a few roads in from the beach front. The location is pretty good- a bit of a walk to the main sights, bars and restaurants along the front but not a problem. Parking is an issue- there is street parking all around the h... Read more

Booked this hotel only 4 weeks before we travelled so was really surprised how nice the hotel was. I would have expected it to be booked all season. If all you want is a base in the centre this is for you. It is a maximum of 400m from The Grande Plage. Also a similar distance to the centre of town and all the bars and restaurants. We flew in and had no car as we have been In the area before and didn't want the hassle of parking. Also at ‚?¨1 on the bus to the railway station and ‚?¨5.40 return t... Read more

A nice hotel spoilt by the noise. Spent 3 nights here and we never slept because of it. Every night awake by people who were going home from clubs or bars. We are not ones to go to bed early. But we had to listen to people retiring up to 5am every night. We had room 103 that overlooks some apartments which were occupied by people that seemed to sleep in the day and party till late at night. Shame hotel is very nice but wouldn't stay again due to the above.
