Pros:In terms of location, it is pretty good. Right beside the train station and right beside the supermarket. Right across the hotel are a lot of restaurants. Queen bed was pretty comfortable as well Cons: In terms of room size, i got a room which was quite tight, so very limited space. In the morning, you can hear people from outside; whether talking or just opening/closing their hotel room doors. Limited meals for breakfast; just got enough to eat but not so huge selection.

This was a great spot to spend 2 or 3 days. It was central to the city sites and restaurants and close to the railway. We arrived using TGV to Hauteville Picardie Station where a shuttle bus transferred to the train station in town. Our stay included a light breakfast and the price per night was very reasonable. Our room was small but clean, with a king bed and staff were very helpful You would only need a car if you were travelling ouside the town area. Lots of nice walks, and pretty scenery. ... Read more

A comfortable and centrally located hotel, right next to the train station. The staff was friendly and helpfull. Breakfast was good. The rooms were clean and spacy. But we were sleeping at the back side of the hotel and did not have a nice view out of the window. But overall we had a satisfying stay, absolutely.

Stayed here as nothing else available for the dates we needed. It is tiny, no room to open a suitcase never mind unpack anything. We had to sit sideways on the toilet, not room to sit properly, and we are not large people. If you have any mobility issues or are larger in size do not consider this place. Next to the station so that is convenient. Breakfast average continental. Reception not a lot of English, our tour guide was late, rang to notify us but we had left the room. The receptionist wat... Excellent location, walking distance to the riverside restaurants and bars, the cathedral and other tourist attractions. Very clean, staff really lovely and polite, even coping with our pigeon french! Good wifi, parked in underground carpark which was very cheap for the whole weekend, supermarket next door. Located next door to main train station, but no noise heard from that or the road outside. Would definitely recommend.

As others have noted, the rooms are very small. If you can cope with that, the location is great, right on top of a major underground parking garage. It is more like a state room or dorm room than a hotel room. The buffet breakfast is rather decent-bravo for having Malongo coffee! Getting a bed that is somewhere between queen and king in such a small room reminds me of ships in bottles. You have to walk sideways on either side of the bed. Storage space is squeezed in in what little space is a... Read more

Just stayed one night, we needed a place to put our head down for a night after a long day of travelling. Front desk staff very good and the room while not spacious was extremely clean. Good wifi and quick check in and check out. It was very busy in town but our room was very quiet.

I have stayed here several times on business and this hotel is superb for a base for a few days. The downsides are that the rooms are very small, there is no real bar/relaxing area apart from a very small area next to the reception. The breakfast is basic, very basic indeed but you have to remember that this is a Holiday Inn Express. The staff are helpful and friendly and the hotel is clean and tidy but a little tired looking. As I have said, great for a few days on business but not for a fam... Read more

My wife and I spent four days at the hotel and found it to be ideal for visiting most aspects of the city and its environs. Car parking was available at sensible prices immediately below the hotel and a supermarket was conveniently established in the next-door building. As noted previously the rooms are small, but our room was very well maintained, comfortable and cleaned effectively each day. The television was of a high specification and made viewing a real pleasure. We enjoyed the breakfasts a... Read more

Stayed here to attend ceremonies at the battlefields of the Somme. Very convenient and rooms are spotless. Rooms are small like most European hotels, no air conditioning but the windows open and a fan is supplied by the front desk if you ask. The hotel is attached to Gare Amiens but you never hear the trains. Also there is a small mall with a grocery store also attached and parking below the hotel for a reasonable 7 euros per day. Close to walk, shop, dine and laundry.

We were in Amiens to pay our respect to those who died during the Great War 16-18 and discovered Amiens. The hotel was as expected, minimum level of comfort with all the basics amenities. No luxury just a very compact but comfortable and clean room.

We arrived by train from Lille, exited the station at the front of the platform walked to the main road looked right and the hotel was there -ideal. Room was comfortable with a shower. Small exercise room on second floor. Buffet breakfast next to reception - said to be open from 6:30 but we had early starts on two mornings and the food was laid out at 6 am (the receptionists appear to manage the breakfast and the small bar in th evening). Good location, close to centre of Amiens. Stayed 1 night as part of tour of Somme area. Good value. "Usual" style of rooms though recently refurbished so bright including nice bathroom & flat screen TV. Good, friendly service. Parking available at cost of 7 Euros for 24 Hours in municipal car park. Quite a lot noise from corridor including doors regularly banging during evening due to inconsiderate teenagers not being supervised. Breakfast was "usual" style though most pleasant.

Really friendly staff on reception, checkin was quick and easy, location is just beside the main shopping street. The room is small but clean, it has everything you need, it's dark and quiet. The lifts are busy in the morning but there is stair access. Breakfast is simple (boiled eggs, cereal, cold hams cheese, toast, croissants) and everything you would need. If you want a good value hotel, comfy bed and good night sleep then this hotel works for you.

Windows open out. Breakfast is a good choice and mine was included in the price. Coffee is via machine so it is only okay. We stayed in this renovated hotel for three nights and it fully met our expectations. We are Priority Club members and use this chain a lot. I would say the lack of air conditioning is the only negative for this hotel but we were aware of this fact when we made the reservation. Fortunately the temperature was quite low but it was still uncomfortable. We opened the window which meant we could hear street and traffic noise but it was more bearable. Room was standard HI Express with two single beds, very small built in desk area, limited worktop, & storage space. Room overall small & cramped. Room is modern and comfortable (small as is common in france). Bathroom new and very good. No fridge. No A/C (not a problem almost always), free esspresso machine with a couple of capsules. Good breakfast. Decent quality. Good value if you are 2, less so if you are a larger family, as rooms are limited to 2 people. Good location - less than 10 minutes walk to the main cathedral and old city. Parking for high cars is problematic. No place to stop the car in front of the hotel (only through the pa... Read more

No airco which is not nice during hot days (and supplying a fan is not the solution), the real problem is that the small rooms are hermetically sealed from the outside, so there is no street noise, but also NO AIR. My CO2 measuring device showed 1500 ppm of CO2 (1000 ppm is warning level 1, 2000 ppm is dangerous situation). And I was alone, so with 2 people in the room, you'll wake up with a bad headache. The room is small, as you would expect, but clean and tidy. A coffee/tea machine is a grea... Read more

We had big suitcases so the little room we had were taken up by these. The breakfast was enough to survive the day. Was looking forward to this hotel as we use Holiday Inn quite frequently. No air con so rooms very hot. Difficult to find. Car parking is not free, but we had three days at special rate for 12 euros. You have to book this at the car park office at the exit. Rooms very small with difficulty moving around. Walls very thin, noise all around from other rooms.

Despite the fact that this is your typical Holiday Inn there was a lot to like about this place, especially since breakfasts is automatically included with the booking (unlike a lot of the other places that I have encountered). Okay, the rooms weren't particularly huge, but then again I wasn't exactly expecting a penthouse suite (and then again this is Europe so space tends to be at a premium). The staff were nice, and the bar is open til around 11:00 pm, not that I ever actually went there beca... Read more

I know that hotel rooms are smaller in Europe but to have a bathroom that you can hardly use because of its size is crazy. From the edge of the toilet seat to the wall is less than 12 inches and then add, at knee length, the toilet paper holder and then, the towel rack above it, makes for very tight quarters. I was either banging my knees or hitting my head on the towel rack, the hotel was basically around the corner from the train station which was great for us. If also had a very good brea... Read more

We stayed here 3 nights as a group of 12, whilst visiting important WW1 battlefields and commemorations. Nowhere for the coach to park, so a long trek with luggage. The staff were very helpful and friendly, but the twin rooms were cramped and provided little space for luggage, bags, and a very small rail for shirts, jackets and coats. I stayed here with four friends and we took up three rooms with twin beds - there aren't many other places that can provide this option, The rooms are a little cramped for two burly blokes to get around but absolutely fine for one night and to act as a base for exploring the the Somme and pay your respects which was exactly what we were doing. The staff were really friendly and helpful and speak very good english. Breakfast (continental) was varied and fresh.
