central location, very friendly personnel, clean modern room and bathroom. All at very reasonable prices, especially for a touristic city like Aix. When travelling for business one cannot ask for more. I would definitely consider coming back to this hotel next time I'm in town.

This a 2* hotel but definitely deserves more. It is clean and tidy with good size rooms and very pleasant and helpful staff team. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was available, both a buffet and also a 'formule' of 2 pastries, coffee and orange juice. About 8 minutes walk from the Cours Mirabeau so very central for sightseeing.

We had a warm welcome on arrival which continued throughout our stay all the staff were kind helpful and obliging. Our room on the first floor at the back of the hotel was freshly decorated and quiet. The twin beds were comfortable and we were able to sleep with the window open and not have any noise disturbance. The rooftop terrace is an added bonus giving nice outside space and views, as reception had kindly chilled some wine we purchased while out we had an aperitif overlooking the city. Th... Read more

Stayed there for 2 nights in May, hotel in a good location near west side of old town. Very good service on reception. Small lift and narrow corridors. Rooms a bit oldish, but clean and quiet. No fridge. Old bathroom. Great rooftop terrace, but underused - no bar there. Breakfast around 9euros-you can live without it. Overall good base for 2 days in Aix - you won't need more than that - but don't miss Aix when traveling in Provence, it is really a magical place. Super nice.

Friendly, helpful, multilingual people work here; clean modern room and bathroom, secure, lift, rooftop terrace with relax space and views, bar/lounge area with relax space; close to interesting things in old town. I did not have car but I understand there is parking available. My room was a single, with double bed. I think it would be v snug fit for 2 people. Perhaps there are other double rooms in hotel that are bigger, don't know

We just spent 5 nights in this small very accommodating hotel. From the moment we checked in we felt that we were going to be looked after well...and we were. We had a lovely room on the 4 floor facing the street with a lovely small deck with chairs to sit on and watch what was going on the street below. In the morning it was lovely to sit out and watch the sun come up. We spent an afternoon and evening on the rooftop terrace which has chaise lounges and tables and chairs to use. We brought food... Near the centre of town, the Globe was good value. Staff helpful, room was superior basic, great modern bathroom with rain shower, really effective air conditioning. Wifi a bit patchy but strong when it was working. Easy to walk to everything you might want to do. There's a nice open balcony on the 4th floor with views over the old town & sun chairs. About a 20 minute walk to the bus station - there's an easy â?¬7 bus to Marseille airport every 30 minutes. On Sundays there's a market outside whi... Read more

We selected this hotel as it was good value in a convenient location and most importantly offered private parking. Staff very helpful and only a few minutes walk into the streets of the old town. Rooms very simple, clean and well finished, perfect for an inexpensive visit.

Super friendly and helpful staff in all aspects. They even helped us park in and out and stopped the traffic for us. The evening attendant explained the wines of Provence, cooled our bottles and set us up with glasses, ice, etc. This hotel is very close to everything and would definitely be our choice again for the next stay in Aix.

I stayed here for one night during euro 2016. I watched a game in Marseille and used Aix En Provence as my base. This hotel was listed as a 2 star. It is by far the best ever 2 star I've stayed in. It was fantastic and is worth a better star rating. The hotel receptionist on arrival was so friendly and welcoming. My room was a good size with all the amenities I needed. It was modern and clean. The hotel is situated on the edge of the city centre. But do not let this put you off. Its a... Read more

I stayed here recently for eight nights on a business trip with a group of colleagues and only because our first choice hotels were fully booked. I was therefore surprised and delighted to find that my room bore comparison with some of the hotels in Aix that cost almost double the price. I had a single, with a double bed, decent bathroom, air con and quiet courtyard view. The whole was spotlessly clean, with immaculate towels and bed linen. Breakfast was fine; a limited selection but good qualit... Read more

We had a bigger room than expected with modern bathroom. All very clean. Toilet was tiny but okay for us as we are not big people. Excellent position for walking round the old streets of Aix and close to Tourism office and bus station. We thought it was good value. The staff were very friendly and we have to specially thank the Manager Muriel who leapt into action when my husband left his Insulin in their fridge! There's a lot of choice of hotels in Aix and thankfully tripadvisor didn't let us down on this one. At â?¬80 a night it's hard to imagine a better hotel. Located just on the edge of the old town, a 3-4 mins walk to all the bars, restaurants etc. The room was lovely - recently decorated, extremely clean and with a wonderful balcony overlooking the rooftops of the old town. Even if you aren't lucky enough to get a balcony there's a superb roof terrace on the 4th floor with near 360 degree views ov... Read more

Hotel is a 10 minute walk from the train station. We caught a TGV and the bus to central Aix. The hotel was easy to find. Super friendly staff! And first time ever gave us a map with directions and sightseeing on check in without even asking! Our room was very comfortable. Great bed and pillows! We were lucky and also had a balcony. Old town is just at your doorstep and restaurants galore within 5 minute walk. Great roof top terrace. Excellent room rate! This hotel offers great value for Aix

Checking in and parking in the garage (which I had prearranged by email) was all very easy. Our receptionist, Julie was extremely helpful & pleasant, showing us on a map of the city where we'd find the various things we wanted to see. The room itself was relatively simple but was comfortable and had good bathroom facilities. Breakfast in the morning was good although we weren't clear what constituted their express or their standard breakfast. The city centre is less than a minute's walk & the C... Read more

We stayed 4 nights at Hotel du Globe and were very satisfied. The service was great - a very friendly and helpful staff! Our room was cozy and clean with a modern bathroom as well as a well functioning AC, we have really nothing to complain about! The roof terrace was romantic and mostly empty for us to enjoy the night sky and rooftops of Aix all alone. We strongly reccomend this hotel for couples!

Very hard to find something negative to say about this hotel. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, nice clean rooms and bathrooms, and the excellent addition of a rooftop terrace, ideal for bringing one's own food/drink and admiring some superb views. Having said this, the price is excessive (hence not 5 stars). However, prices in Aix are excessive anyways.

Hotel du Globe is located across the street from the entrance to old town. It is extremely clean with updated features (bathrooms, etc.) all for an extremely good price. Everyone was very helpful and attentive. Would recommend this for anyone staying in Aix. The only challenge is the parking. The hotel has a few parking spots but they run out quickly. There are a few underground parking lots close by.

Hotel was fine the rooms were small but ok. There is no bar or restaurant although there is breakfast served. Hard to find as we were driving and parking was a nightmare. We parked what the hotel was 5 minutes away but seemed for ever especially if you are laden with your luggage. We managed to find a local restaurant with great food but I think we had wished we had not bothered with Aix and headed to our final destination instead.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel du Globe in Aix-en-Provence, the room was plenty big enough for a three night stay and was very clean. Our room was on the back of the hotel so was very quiet and with the electric blinds providing a complete black out we slept well. Convenient location just at the edge of the walled city. Easy garage parking for our motorbikes was a major plus for us. The staff was helpful. The breakfast on offer was standard fare for this part of the world, the least interesting of all our hotel stays.

We were late arriving in Aix de Provence and did not have reservations thanks to our inability to access the Internet and book a reservation. The Hotel du Globe held a room for us on very short notice and even squeezed our car into a tight spot in their adjoining garage for overnight parking--an important consideration, given the sparsity of parking spaces at a reasonable rate, in town. The hotel is centrally located and easy an walk to restaurants and shopping. The hotel is no frills, but clean. The staff friendly and helpful. There is free parking at the hotel, but the space is limited, like 8 parking spaces. Recommend you reserve a parking spot in advance, otherwise you will have to park at the public lot, and at times parking is difficult and an overnight stay will cost 20â?¬.

Having seen lots of enthusiastic reviews about this hotel I was upset to be assigned a room, which hardly can pass for a room in a one star hotel. We all know that hotels use to make a bathroom by separating part of the main room, but even in Venice, where every centimeter of floor space is highly valued, I have never seen bathroom/WC of a size of a cupboard with a pocket door on a rail, which separates this convenience from the room. When you are inside this so-called bathroom, you will have t... Read more
