The Sokos Hotel Vaakuna is located in the centre of Joensuu by the market place. The hotel is reputed to have the best restaurants and bars in the city. Near to the hotel there is great shopping. The newly renovated hotel has 63 en-suite bedrooms, restaurants, bar and lounge, night club and a sauna area. The hotel does not have any conference facilities.

The hotel has 2 saunas, steamroom and jacuzzi. the hotel also has a night club, bepop.
