Despite being in the fascinating city of Helsinki this hotel could be anywhere. Standard room was clean, but very grey, also no bath. Breakfast (included) was pretty good, but as the hotel is large it was very busy and noisy and some of the hot courses were on the cold side. On the plus side the hotel is within walking distance of the city centre and the Finnair bus from the airport stops and picks up very close to the hotel.

This is the first time I have stayed at this hotel in Helsinki. As with all Scandic hotels, it is clean, welcoming and modern inside. My room was very comfortable and the breakfast was also very good. Wifi was free and also quite fast. The Scandic Park is in a great location and only a few minutes walk from central Helsinki.

The check-in staff was very helpful. I had a ton of questions about getting around town and they answered them all with a smile. I checked in at an odd time (7:30AM) and had requested that my room be ready when I got there. They let me right in, but the previous guest hadn't checked out yet. To compensate, they upgraded me to the Superior Suite, which lived up to its name. The breakfast/brunch was well prepared, and the dining area was very pleasant. Everything was clean... Stayed here for two nights on business, and felt very welcome. It's a great location right next to the park, great service and I really like the interior. Only a few minus. My usual one that the windows doesn't open. And that the gym doesn't open before 7am and the pool at 6.30.

I have really been debating this rating, the stay started off so well, but then took several dives! It was nearly Poor but I have decided on Average due to some saves. Check in was easy, polite staff that old me where gym etc was and eating times. The room is spacious with comfy bed, TV with multilingual channels. There is an iron and board but as it is behind a mirror I didn't notice it until just before I checked out - signage would have helped. The hotel location is great for city centre ... Read more

We had a lovely two days here in the Scandic Park, Helsinki. The pool was lovely, the team on reception were very helpful and in particular, the Chief bar man made our evening with his kindness, humour and excellent service! The food was very good and the breakfast was fab in the morning. The only little thing I would say is it would have been nice to have had our mugs/glasses washed when our room was cleaned. But apart from that, it was a very lovely stay!

On a varm June night I tried to get the A/C working without any luck. Tried to call the reception several times. Went down and found a long line of guests waiting in line. Only two guys working the reception in this massive hotel. I was told no service staff was at the hotel, so they had to call an external technician. An hour later no help was called and I got another older room but with working A/C. The staff was crazy tired but really tried to keep it together. I left for the airport around ... Read more

Visited here in April for 4 nights. The entire hotel have gone through a massive renovation in the past few years. It's still the biggest hotel in Helsinki with over 500 rooms. I booked a single room since I was traveling solo. The room was rather small considering the average room size in Helsinki. However the room had a decent 140cm bed and a small bathroom. And the price was really okay. Just some minor details bothered me, like when showering the whole bathroom gets wet! Why still shower cur... Read more

I have to admit I didn't personally choose this hotel for our local accommodations in Helsinki. Two nights at the Scandic Park came as part of a Baltic Sea cruise/hotel package I reserved for my partner and me, so when I looked for it on a Helsinki city map, I let out an audible sigh presuming it would be a bit too far from the city center. However, once we arrived, the hotel turned out to located conveniently on Mannerheimintie, a major boulevard where Helsinki's public tram system operates one... Read more

When staying at the Scandic Park Helsinki it is wise to ask for a room that is not at the front, as noise and sun shine may take some of the comfort away that is definitely present - other than air conditioning that is probably not often needed. Reception is professional, breakfast is decent, location (both tram and bus to AirPort stop in front) excellent. Safe choice.

Firstly my stay was ruined for the simple fact the air conditioning was not working and thus in rooms of 22deg to 26deg I was unable to sleep. There was a window to open but the street noise was quiet loud, so it was a choice between noise or hear, an uncomfortable night sleep either way. I complained on my first night and it was suggested that I should open my window, thinking this was normal I put up with an uncomfortable nights sleep and moved rooms the next day. Friendly and helpful staff, yummy breakfast buffet, close to the public transport (Finnair city bus to/from airport stops in front of/near the hotel, tram stop is a couple of minutes away), not so far from the city in good way (less than 30min walk to market square), clean and spacious enough room, overall would recommend anyone :)

Scandic Hotel Park is a great conference hotel if you have a event in Finlandiatalo or Helsinki Olympics stadium. The Helsinki city center is also within the walking distance. There is a great swimming pool and saunas on the top floor of the hotel and there is a great view from the balcony next to the swimming pool. The breakfast is always bit crowded and it is difficult to find a free table, especially during the high season.

If you reserve a family room you will get ample space for four people in it. Plus for the numerous (11) outlets in the room keeping even a large families gadgets powered. Situated a couple of klicks off site city centre, but accessible via nice stroll through a park.

I was staying in this hotel and I like the renewed rooms. The restaurant is nice and the menu is little different than in other Scandic hotels which is nice. Pool and sauna on top floor is great with nice view over the city.

Enjoyable stay and great breakfast. As a Scandic friends member received vouchers to spend in the bar/restaurant/shop. Not too far out of town. Room spacious for 2 adults and 2 kids (had a superior plus room).

We stayed at this modern hotel with one other couple. Rooms reflected Finland's clean, efficient and modern style and were spacious. Bathroom was very modern and clean. We only had breakfast at the hotel, which offered a wide selection of foods, some of which were a bit unusual e.g. raw herring (I think). Quality of the food was good, except for the boiled eggs, which were definitely a undercooked (both cooking-time choices). The hotel is conveniently located near parks and tramline #4 is right ... This is a very busy hotel with extremely high occupancy. It is a good 15 minute walk into the city centre although trams stop close by. The rooms have been redecorated recently and there are some quirky features - pictures on the walls, a revolving mirror with an iron and ironing board on the back. Take these things away and it is just like any chain hotel. Breakfast is a bit of a scrum and it's more volume than quality. We ate in the restaurant and the food was OK and the service excellent. My husband and I spent a few nights at Scandic Park Hotel. The room is nicely decorated and I like the fact that there are plenty of chairs. One of the biggest disappointments was the fact that there are no storage places. There is no wardrobe, just a stand for hangers where you can put your clothes on. Also, there are no bedstands, so we ended up putting our clothes and stuff on one of the chairs. The bathroom is clean but when taking a shower you should expect that the entire floor will be flo... I stayed over a weekend in Helsinki Scandic Park Superior Plus (room number 785) with my family (2 adults & 2 kids). It is written in hotel´s webpages, that "A magnificently renovated hotel right next to Helsinki city centre..." and "... all hotel rooms were recently completely refurbished." So when booking the room, I thought that hotel is completely renovated. We were very disappointed when entering in the room. - Definitely there has been no renovations at all for bathroom during last 10 y... Read more

The note is located not far from the city center, from the central station it is about a 15-20 minutes walk. The hotel is huge and therefore very crowded. Especially during breakfast it was pretty loud and hectic. The rooms were fine.

This hotel is across a nice park and an easy 5 min walking distance from the city center and the shopping area. Clean rooms, good service and extensive breakfast buffet... Parking also available underneath the hotel. Helpful and smiling staff. Seemed like there were quite a few business travellers as we stayed during the week.

I stay at this hotel quite regularly, and it's well located, spacious and recently revamped. Tends to be pretty good value since breakfast is included and kids stay free. The rooms are comfortable and a good size, and some have nice views of the bay. The foyer is large and welcoming, and the lifts fast and efficient. Breakfast tends to be pretty good, and it's generally busy and buzzing with all types which is nice, if hectic. The sauna facilities are good, and there is a pool. Be warned though,... Read more

Some slight stuff that would improve the stay, no tools to "wipe the floor" after showering or using the bathtub leaving the floor very wet and slippery. Ventilation vent was very dusty. Overall very nice and worth the money. Just some small convince things.

The Scandic Park Helsinki (formerly Scandic Continental) has found its new character. Rooms are nicely decorated. Bathrooms are nice and clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet typical Scandic. Parking garage is in the building but 26? per day. That's a bit of a downside.

Nice hotel, nice location, excellent breakfast buffet. Swimming pool was unbelievably cold. We got the finnair bus down to the city cost 9? per adult kids were free this was the case on all the public transport which is good. Bus stops right outside. Hotel is about 15 min walk from town centre. There is a tram stop outside that gets you there also. Hotel room was ideal lovely shower and comfortable bed. One thing I noticed was how clean the air felt. Staff were friendly although it seems queui... Read more
