Despite being in the fascinating city of Helsinki this hotel could be anywhere. Standard room was clean, but very grey, also no bath. Breakfast (included) was pretty good, but as the hotel is large it was very busy and noisy and some of the hot courses were on the cold side. On the plus side the hotel is within walking distance of the city centre and the Finnair bus from the airport stops and picks up very close to the hotel.

This is the first time I have stayed at this hotel in Helsinki. As with all Scandic hotels, it is clean, welcoming and modern inside. My room was very comfortable and the breakfast was also very good. Wifi was free and also quite fast. The Scandic Park is in a great location and only a few minutes walk from central Helsinki.

The check-in staff was very helpful. I had a ton of questions about getting around town and they answered them all with a smile. I checked in at an odd time (7:30AM) and had requested that my room be ready when I got there. They let me right in, but the previous guest hadn't checked out yet. To compensate, they upgraded me to the Superior Suite, which lived up to its name. The breakfast/brunch was well prepared, and the dining area was very pleasant. Everything was clean... I really have no com... Read more

Stayed here for two nights on business, and felt very welcome. It's a great location right next to the park, great service and I really like the interior. Only a few minus. My usual one that the windows doesn't open. And that the gym doesn't open before 7am and the pool at 6.30.

The location of the hotel is ideal, at the end of walk from the centre and many sights. Breakfast was a delicious and versatile. Breakfast room, extremely tidy and comfortable. Also the room and all the general premises were really tidy.

I have really been debating this rating, the stay started off so well, but then took several dives! It was nearly Poor but I have decided on Average due to some saves. Check in was easy, polite staff that old me where gym etc was and eating times. The room is spacious with comfy bed, TV with multilingual channels. There is an iron and board but as it is behind a mirror I didn't notice it until just before I checked out - signage would have helped. The hotel location is great for city centre ... Read more

We had a lovely two days here in the Scandic Park, Helsinki. The pool was lovely, the team on reception were very helpful and in particular, the Chief bar man made our evening with his kindness, humour and excellent service! The food was very good and the breakfast was fab in the morning. The only little thing I would say is it would have been nice to have had our mugs/glasses washed when our room was cleaned. But apart from that, it was a very lovely stay!

On a varm June night I tried to get the A/C working without any luck. Tried to call the reception several times. Went down and found a long line of guests waiting in line. Only two guys working the reception in this massive hotel. I was told no service staff was at the hotel, so they had to call an external technician. An hour later no help was called and I got another older room but with working A/C. The staff was crazy tired but really tried to keep it together. I left for the airport around ... Read more

Visited here in April for 4 nights. The entire hotel have gone through a massive renovation in the past few years. It's still the biggest hotel in Helsinki with over 500 rooms. I booked a single room since I was traveling solo. The room was rather small considering the average room size in Helsinki. However the room had a decent 140cm bed and a small bathroom. And the price was really okay. Just some minor details bothered me, like when showering the whole bathroom gets wet! Why still shower cur... Read more

I have to admit I didn't personally choose this hotel for our local accommodations in Helsinki. Two nights at the Scandic Park came as part of a Baltic Sea cruise/hotel package I reserved for my partner and me, so when I looked for it on a Helsinki city map, I let out an audible sigh presuming it would be a bit too far from the city center. However, once we arrived, the hotel turned out to located conveniently on Mannerheimintie, a major boulevard where Helsinki's public tram system operates one... Read more

I booked this room under a conference rate and requested to extend my reservation only to be told the conference rate did not apply and that somehow my original reservation with the special rate was missed. Then told it had to be done by a specific date (which it was) then...then...then. If you don't want people to stay at your hotel or you do not want to honor the stated rate then just be honest with potential clients - we don't need the frustration! Ended up giving up and going elsewhere.... Read more

We booked a triple-bed room for us with baby and a toddler which turned out to be a room with a king size bed and a pull out bed. The king bed was super comfy and huge and we ended up all sleeping on it together for the 3 nights we were there. ???. The extra single bed was, as almost always the case with extra pull out beds, not comfortable...We also used the baby cot to put our clothes because there were no cupboards/shelves. There was only a rod to hang coats/some clothes and a small trunk ... Read more

This is what you expect from a good downtown Helsinki hotel. Effective check-in. Good sleeping quality in comfortable beds. Sauna is included. Enough TV channels. Breakfast is a bit mediocre. Nothing to complain. Good value for the money.

When staying at the Scandic Park Helsinki it is wise to ask for a room that is not at the front, as noise and sun shine may take some of the comfort away that is definitely present - other than air conditioning that is probably not often needed. Reception is professional, breakfast is decent, location (both tram and bus to AirPort stop in front) excellent. Safe choice.

Good size of rooms, very clean. Great breakfast. The staff were very helpful with information about getting around the city and back to the airport, as I needed to catch an early flight. The hotel has a great gym that I used.

Firstly my stay was ruined for the simple fact the air conditioning was not working and thus in rooms of 22deg to 26deg I was unable to sleep. There was a window to open but the street noise was quiet loud, so it was a choice between noise or hear, an uncomfortable night sleep either way. I complained on my first night and it was suggested that I should open my window, thinking this was normal I put up with an uncomfortable nights sleep and moved rooms the next day. My next room was just as ba... Read more

Only issue was had to leave card out to have room made up, one day got the towels changed nothing else. Next day got bed tided no towels changed. Not consistent. Good location only approx 15 min walk to the CBD. We found walk down by the lake opp accn good walk to city centre. Easy to get around from. Had the buffet meal at night and was good value for 22 euros. Bfast was also good. Overall... Read more

This is a good, efficient, large and clean hotel, perfect for a business trip or city break. My room was spacious and clean with all the right facilities (no kettle unless you are in a superior room though), good shower. Double glazing keeps the room quiet luckily, as the road is busy, unfortunately the air conditioning was very very inefficient (or not working properly) so the room did get hot. The pool and sauna are very nice and rather under used so I had some good solo swims. Reception st... Read more

We are in a Cosmos tour "Northern Lights in the Arctic Circle" and this is the first of the 11 hotels in this 16-day journey. The Helsinki location is mostly renovated and at that time was very busy with so many things going on. It is not in the Market district and places to eat or see, and shopping will require a 10-minute walk or so. Breakfast is very good and the coffee is especially great!

I visited Scandic Park in Helsinki 11-12 July 2016 and ended up in some football-cup. So the hotel were flooded with kids in the age of 5-12 years old. I am not kidding if I am saying there were 2000 kids staying in the hotel. So the breakfast-room rather looked like a kindergarten rather than a proper breakfast room. I don't mind kids but when they are 2000 against 1 I don't get the relaxed hotel experience I am looking after. So sorry Scandic, you could have warned me when I booked so I could ... Read more

Good location on the main transportation artery of Helsinki, a nice park with lake in front of the hotel, single rooms with bad view of the back streets and yards, kind of minimalistic room design. The breakfast was really not 4-stars and the staff was not enough to clean the tables (full hotel).

Unfortunately, after two nights I had to move to a sister hotel (the Scandic Marina) as this hotel did not have a room at the special Booking.com rate for the whole of my stay in Helsinki. Reception and bar staff were extremely friendly and helpful; the room was comfortable and quiet. Location was good too: airport bus stops some 100m from the hotel, which is opposite a very ple... I stayed at the Scandic Park Hotel in July 2016 for four nights. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable - I have a feeling the area where my room was (492) may have been recently refurbished as there was still a very faint smell of fresh paint. Reasonable size room - good bathroom and plenty of wardrobe space. The only downside was that there were no facilities for making tea/coffee in the room. At this time of year it doesn't get dark until 11.30pm and is light again by 4.00am so the hea... Read more
