Excellent new hotel and really fine room. Great location in the heart of the Helsinki city. One of bartender with bad attitude and expensive car parking was minuses. One visit to the restaurant for breakfast and dinner was enough, but fortunately there are many high quality restaurants nearby.

Lilla Roberts hotel is a great option to stay in the center of Helsinki. Quite recently opened and with very good decoration of the hotel and the rooms. We stayed in a Style room which are spacious and with a very nice decor. The breakfast is also good and they have a very original cocktail menu (We didn't get the chance to try them unfortunately!)

We went here at the end of May for 2 night/3 days and stayed at the Lilla Roberts and what an amazing time we had! Every single member of staff was delightful; they were polite, courteous and bent over backwards to ensure we were happy. The hotel is very clean; housekeepers did a great job in our room. Our rooms were cleaned twice daily and fresh towels left daily. The food was amazing especially the breakfast OMG Wow what a selection -we were full until 2pm, you are spoilt for choice. The conc... I can only discuss my own room of course but that one was really top. It was large with a king size bed a rocking chair (yes !) a desk, a rather small wardrobe, a large bathroom with toilet-with-door. There is an iron and iron board to iron out your shirt if you are a business traveler. You have a Nespresso machine at your disposal and a minibar with limited choice. The TV screen is big. I just loved this hotel in every way, it oozes cool and style. The front desk service was absolutely superb, so friendly, helpful and welcoming. Breakfast choice again was great, everything fresh and nothing you wouldn't expect. My room was a little small but extremely comfortable and clean. The shower was one of the best I've ever used, I just didn't want to get out. I can't rate this hotel highly enough. I found my new home whilst in Helsinki.

We were a bit concerned when the taxi driver didn't know where the Lilla Roberts Hotel was - when I showed him the street address he recognised the road instantly! The next day I found out why, it was originally the Helsinki police station! The building has been extensively and beautifully refurbished and the whole place reeks of quality - no expense has been spared and nearly a year on the place is in tip top condition. The theme is modern and and there is a great mixture of textures, fabrics... Read more

The room was clean and modern but quite dark with little to no natural light filling part of the room. The shower room was clean with a power shower but quite small for a suite. So I've developed a boiled egg test for breakfast. They have to be hot and perfect for 4 minutes with a nice yellow yolk. If a hotel can't cook a boiled egg properly then it's not a good start. On arrival there was a bowl of cold eggs labelled 4 minutes. I wasn't going to accept that so I asked them to cook me fresh one... Read more

We visited this hotel at july when we were in Helsinki for summer holiday and we wanted a bit more from a hotel. Hotel was best we have experienced by far. Room was spotless clean, bed was amazingly good, staff was friendly and helpfull and breakfast was delicilous. I have nothing bad to say about this hotel. In front of the hotel was construction site but it wasn't hotels fault so I don't take that as a con.

We loved the spirit and style of the public areas. But the room - it was a bit dull. Nothing special really. The bathroom was nice but otherwise it didn´t seem like a 5star to us. The service is very friendly and location pretty good. Breakfast is okay, nothing too fancy. To us this was just a one night stay to have some special time together. If You´re looking for a nice unique hotel this could be your choise. For luxury we recommend Kämp or Haven.

According to the receptionist, this hotel is a former police station. The overall impression is very good: I very much liked the modern style and the quality of the rooms. Given I stayed at the hotel during summer time, it's still very bright in the late evening and the curtains in my room did not block the light entirely (small openings close to the wall left and right). The Lilla Roberts hotel was one of the nicest surprises of Helsinki. The hotel is the outcome of assembling various buildings in the heart of Helsinki. Rooms are nice, spacious, well cleaned (the only remark is that the hotel has a green policy, but the soap in the bathroom is thrown away every day...). Contemporary design deco, perfectly fitted large rooms, fantastic breakfast. And great location. Given high cost of living in Finland, we found it to be very good value. I attribute that to the positives I'll delineate. As a world traveler who has stayed in accommodations spanning hostels, B&B's, eco-restorts, apt. rentals, and high end 4 and 5 star hotels, I can't in good conscience offer a higher rating, but I want to preface this review by saying that in spite of the deficiencies I... I stayed with my boyfriend for 3 nights at Lilla Roberts, and we loved it! The rooms are very new, clean, quiet and stylish with really comfortable beds. At the weekend the breakfast room was really busy and full, but on a weekday relaxed. Good choice of food and friendly staff. We had dinner at Krog Roba (Where you take breakfast in the morning) and that was a great choice, it was really tasty. Location is in the design district and walkable to all sightseeing places. Nearby you find some great... Read more

A having visited Helsinki many times, the one thing that was really missing was a lack of upmarket personalised hotels. Well Lilla Roberts closes this gap perfectly. What they did right, decor, friendly & efficient staff, honouring Small Lux Prog. upgrades, comfortable breakfast, location. A last minute decision to spend a romantic weekend in Helsinki was completely complimented with a stay at this little hotel. The location is excellent for the port / market. The initial impression of the ... Read more

I recently stayed at the Hotel Lilla Roberts for 3 nights during a business trip. The hotel staff was very professional and really went the extra mile to make sure my stay was perfect. The European breakfast buffet was excellent. There are a number of great restaurants within walking distance if you want to try something different. I will definitely stay here again when I return.

The hotel is perfectly situated in the design district close to lots of great shops, bars and restaurants. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Breakfast is good and be sure to try the delicious honey mead. Hotel bar is good too. I would definitely stay here again the next time I visit Helsinki.

We had been in Helsinki for a couple of nights, but had not yet spent a night at the Lilla Roberts. We were going to be out of the country for 5 days, returning to Helsinki and then staying at the Lilla Roberts. We didn't want to bring all of our luggage and so we thought of asking the hotel if they would hold our luggage until we returned. With no hesitation the reply was, "of course"! That was the beginning of a magnificent stay at this luxurious yet warm and friendly hotel. The staff we... Read more

This hotel is amazing, modern and nicely designed but a bite more walk than the F6 to the city centre. The room was ok, comfortable and offered nice velvet sleepers. The lads at the reception will try to help you with your enquiries. However I would not rate this hotel more than 3 stars because of the breakfast service. To start with they close at 10am, something I was not even been told. Additionally, the breakfast hall is noisy but the worse thing was that at 10am they started taking away ever... Read more

Stylish hotel with excellent, helpful staff, stunning food and all near the more interesting parts of Helsinki. Highly recommenfed. Both breakfast and dinner were a wonderful introduction to local cuisine and I now understand why this cuisine is gaining worldwide popularity...Even the coffee was of an acceptable standard.

We stayed for 2 nights and were very pleased. Service was excellent, room was as promised, "lobby bar" one of the best cocktail bars around and breakfast very good and plenty to choose from. Hotel is located on a rather quiet side street so not too much traffic around - very good! Yet it is in the hearth of Helsinki.

Staff was amazing. Everyone at the front desk and the bar were super nice and made you feel comfortable and welcomed. They trained them well. We got the Style Room. It's a huge room with a couch. The bathroom was big too. We loved the rain shower head, a built in bidet and the toiletries. They smelled so good and were high quality. The lamps with feathers weirded me out but that's just me lol. The faux fur bed cover and pillows felt luxurious to the touch I slept with them. It's like butter :... Read more

I stayed for 3 nights in Hotel Lilla Roberts in October 2016. The hotel is located in a very convenient location, close to many attractions and places to eat. Market Sqaure is just 10 mins walk away. Similar time for Helsinki Cathedral and Uspenski Cathedral. The ferry terminal is very close too. The hotel offered free breakfast included in the room price and they cater to all dietary requirements. The staff at the hotel is very helpful. I had an early morning flight at 5:30am and since the brea... Read more

Lilla Roberts is a wonderful hotel situated a few minutes walk from the main city centre, the main train station, the market and some sightseeings. We had a deluxe room on the 5th floor and it was spacious, funky decorated and the most important the bed was heaven. Free nespresso machine, bottle of water, wifi, neals yard shower gel. Breakfast was amazing however very busy at some point we had to Q up for a table. The breakfast food was nice and fresh mostly organic. I loved the berry and ging... Read more

Lilla Roberts is a stylish hotel in an Art Deco building. We had a double room which was reasonably priced for a city hotel. It is very central and within walking distance of the main shopping centre, the design centre, the cathedral and the station, all with 20 mins walking distance. Breakfast was adequate with a good choice of juices, hot and cold dishes, different breads etc. The restaurant is quite stunning, in a curved building with Art Deco windows. The ghd hairdryer was a real treat. I di... Read more

The hotel is beautiful and in an excellent location, in the Design District a few minutes from Pohjoisesplanadi, in the very heart of Helsinki. The rooms are spacious and tidy, with a modern flare and very quiet. Breakfast was excellent, a lot of different choices and in a nice location. The hotel has a restaurant (that double as breakfast room in the morning) where I dined last year and it is good too. Recommended.

I stayed here for the first time this past August. I am a regular at their sister hotel, the Hotel Fabian. I stayed at Lilla Roberts to try it out and thought that no hotel in Helsinki could displace the Hotel Fabian from being my favorite place to stay in Helsinki. I was wrong. Hotel Lilla Roberts is now my favorite for several reasons: Bathrooms: More spacious and bright. Beautiful showers. Rooms: Stylish, comfortable, and quiet. Breakfast: They an amazing selection of food and graci... Read more

The hotel is located in a quiet street. Distributed over a couple of blocks, the rooms are modern and with large bathrooms. all the things work as they should. Only negative remark is that the international channels are limited but most finnish tv is english with subtitles so not an issue. Good breakfast spread.

Located little outside of City Centre(Kamppi/Main Railway Station), but still walkable on a good weather. This area is known for being "Helsinki Design District" and near are some of Helsinki's most expensive areas. Main building was built over 100 years ago and it used to be Police Station till 2012. Real stylish entrance and front desk area. Friendly service, for example they took my luggages to room, when I was there before room was ready(this is not that usual in Finland). A great hotel. The design is modern, stylish and tasteful. Very well done! People are friendly and professional. Very clean. Best duvet cover and very good bed. Spacious room. What I did not like: Air condition cannot be switched off - it is also not very quiet. Windows cannot be opened. The breakfast: While quality is mostly ok, choice is VERY limited. E.g. no rolls (I cannot remember I stayed in a hotel where no rolls were offered, much less a 4 star hotel), no sausage, 1 type of hard cheese,... Read more

The location is perfect and within walking distance of all major sites. Overall I was very satisfied and definitely recommend it.
