We have traveled all over the world over the last 18 months and one thing that is important to us is WiFi at the hotel. I must say some are ok and others and not so good. The Wifi here at the Hilton works no matter where you are in the hotel. The gym area is also great and I really enjoyed the sauna. The staff has been very helpful with local area information. I will be sure to stay here the next time I am in Helsinki.

This was a great place to stay while working in Espoo. It was a bit of a taxi ride (25 minutes) to and from Espoo for work, but it was great to get to stay in Helsinki so that I could explore wonderful Helsinki when I wasn't at work. Tram line 3 went right by the hotel, giving me access to great places downtown for only 3.20 Euro. It was easy to get to the shops, market square, and anywhere else. I really enjoyed DesignMuseo downtown. Close to the hotel is an outdoor market during the day. There... Read more

I was really satisfied with my stay at the Hilton Strand: a good atmosphere, good rooms that are quite specious and well equipped. The staff is very serviced minded. The hotel gives you a feeling of luxury with a specious lobby and restaurant. The view on the harbour is really beautiful. Be sure to reserve a room with a view on it! very nice hotel, a short walk from downtown and excellently served by public transit. good-to-perfect service by the friendly staff. quiet room (facing over the inner courtyard): no view, but blissful sleep. room is on the smallish side (probably large for european standards). do not award 5 stars because at this price point (about 200 USD/night) absolute perfection should be the norm.

We cannot speak highly enough of this Hilton. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived. The room wonderful. It was large and had the most beautiful water view. It had two lovely chairs where we could sit and enjoy the view. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was a good size and had a heated floor. Couldn't recommend this hotel more highly. From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed by the warm, staff. The hotel has obviously had a makeover by a very clever designer who's kept the original early 80s bones of the building and modernized the interior spaces, to create a hotel with great character. Staff and service were always warm and welcoming with a smile, particularly the bar staff. Wine and spirit menu is great - recommend the Chablis and Macallan single malt! Bar snacks also very ta... Stayed one night on a short business trip. I really liked the combination of the atrium design of the hotel, views over the waterfront and modern internal styling. I booked a single room, assuming this was a standard room for single occupancy. However it was actually a genuine single room: quite small and with just a single size bed. I didn't think these still existed in major brand hotels! Despite the limited space, the room was tastefully designed, very comfortable, and ideal for someone t... Read more

Love the location of this hotel - easy walking distance from the Central Train Station and right on the water. They have done a good job of renovating this older property from the 70s (?) and the rooms are set up for the business traveler. The front desk staff is extremely helpful and I really appreciated how quiet it was. Bathrooms are well laid out and I wish I could have stayed longer!

We spent 4 nights here whilst on holiday in Helsinki and found it to be perfect in almost every way. Firstly, the location is superb: right in the city centre set next to the water. It's really easy to get to from the airport via the main railway station, with Hakaniemi metro station just behind. I stayed here maybe 8 years ago and the Hilton Strand has given its rooms a facelift. They are now (mostly or all, that is hard to assess) in black, grey, more in line with today's standard. I went to have a look at the gym, but did not have time to use it. It has a nice view over the bay, you can do a limited work-out with the smaller number of machines that's available. Staff is very friendly. It looks as if it is a. It away from city center but it's only 10 minutes walking.

When you stay with Hilton you have an expectation of quality and service. The property is up to date with a Nordic aesthetic sensibility. The international staff is welcoming from the front desk to the house keeping staff. The proximity to the transportation hub at Market square makes this property well placed for exploration of Helsinki. The hotel is on the marina, so you get to see the pleasure boats coming and going. The rooms are unusually spacious for rooms in Finland; more like an American-size-style room. The bathrooms are average, nothing special, but adequate. The bar downstairs is nice and staff polite. I recommend this hotel.

Pretty modern style hotel located about a 10min walk from the central station. Depending on how much luggage, it's easier to tram or bus rather than walk. During our stay we pretty much navigated around Helsinki by foot but the transport system is very good. Check in was quick and easy, the twin share room is comfortable size able to cater easily for our large suitcases and carry on, also the beds a little larger than other places I've stayed which is nice. No shortage of power outlets here un... Read more

An excellent hotel, definitely one of the better Hiltons. Very smart with modern rooms and good facilities. If you are an Honors member, there is an Exec Lounge and the upgrade rooms are very good. The location is excellent too. It's nearby to Kallio but don't be fooled by what you read about Kallio. Whilst the more bohemian area of Helsinki, it's full of bars and restaurants that are busy with a wide variety of people, of all ages. A 5 min walk and you'll find busy bars! Very good hotel. Convenient position to most of the attractions in Helsinki. We walked everywhere. Nice breakfast downstairs. We had executive lounge access which was alright for a quick snack or drink. We stayed in room 642 which had a great view over the water. Recommended hotel that appears to have been recently renovated.

I heartily recommend this superb hotel. It's only about a ten-minute walk from Helsinki's railway station and from the beautiful Lutheran cathedral. I stayed there with a friend for three days in July 2016 in separate rooms and my friend was as delighted with her room as I was with mine. I have marked the hotel as luxurious in the price bracket below as this is indeed a luxurious hotel but in fact in July the room rates were very reasonable. This Hilton property provides clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast, an acceptable fitness facility, and a good location to nearby city (Helsinki) attractions. The rooms are sparsely decorated but efficient (as I've found in most European hotels) and offer a bit more space than other hotels. All in all, this seems to be a good value, even though it may be a bit more expensive than other hotels.

I personally recommend this hotel to first time travelled to Helsinki, you can take bus no.615 and it takes 44mins. location is easy to find, surrondings are quiet so that you can chill. On top floor, they have Finland-style sauna, its good to experience and make friends. ??人??常??赫??????????????親??????????赫????場??????615?? ??大?44?????????... Read more

I arrived from Singapore very early in the morning. Despite this, I was offered a room overlooking the harbour and invited to have breakfast in the restaurant which I thought was a generous gesture and actually quite welcome after such a long flight. We really liked the Hilton Helsinki Strand. It was about a 10 minute walk from the train station. A really nice hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful when we checked in and accommodating to all our request. The concierge lounge was very nice overlooking the water. Our room was really comfortable and spacious. The breakfast each morning provided a variety things to choose. Overall a great stay and we would definitely come back.

The hotel has been very recently renovated and rooms are in excellent condition. You also get nice sea views as long as your room is on the south (sea) side of the hotel, on the other side you'll stare directly in to office windows with absolutely no views at all. The executive lounge is a good perk if your room category or HHonors status allows you entry. Food and drinks offered are decent, however not a lot of options available and the food service is very early: 5-7pm. Gym on the top floor ... Read more

Location can't be beat and the staff were fantastic. Was upgraded to a sea front room with executive lounge access and couldn't complain as the lounge was fantastic and the food/drink exceptional. The location of the Strand Hilton is magnificent. But the hotel is no as good as the others Hilton. We have asked a king size bed and sea view and we only get the sea view. We had to move the separate beds close to one another because they did not have room with king size bed available. The floor under the beds was dirty and they didn't clean it after the movement.Breakfast was poor for Hilton. The air conditioners was not working properly.

Hilton Helsinki Strand is a modern and stylish hotel in Hakaniemi. The lobby is very spaceous and had modern design. Breakfast was superb, one of the best I have had. Especially the smoothie selection was positive surprise. My room (305) was also very spaceous and tighty. The only negative thing was the hairdryer, which was missing. Every time I stay in this hotel, I end up wondering why it's not more popular. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the location is excellent. The area is quiet, yet the connections by public transport are good. The seaview may cost you a bit extra, but is worth it. The breakfast is amazing, as there is nearly everything you can wish for in the morning. In addition to all this, it costs you less than in many average level hotels in central Helsinki

The location may not suit everyone, but it was perfect for my needs, and Helsinki has a fairly small city centre. The views over the water are pleasing and the hotel is cleverly designed. The staff are uniformly helpful and friendly and able to deal with any query. The breakfasts are particularly good. The room service is slightly over-priced. The saunas are what you would expect in Finland, the pool is kept too cold (perhaps for the same reason).
