We stayed at the DoubleTree for two nights whilst visiting Bristol last month. Lovely hotel, immaculate reception area, quick and efficient check-in by the very friendly gentleman on the desk (and fresh cookies to take with us!) - our room was very clean, spacious, even had a nice little chez-lounge in the window with a lovely view of the church next door and over to the city centre. Shower was brilliant, nicest bathroom we've had in a hotel room when away on short breaks! We had noted on our bo... Read more

The hotel is about 6mins walk from the train station, in a lovely area close to the river. I enjoyed a short walk to stretch my legs before bed on the evening of my arrival. The gentleman who checked me in was friendly, polite and helpful. I felt very welcome, and even received a complimentary cookie. The room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed, complimentary internet access and a beautiful view of the church. The bathroom was great - well designed and although small in size, not ... We arrived by rail and found the entrance rather awkward. Obviously this hotel caters mainly for drivers. The staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout our short stay. The room was comfortable and quiet. The only thing lascking was hot chocolate sachets i the catering tray. The hotel is just a short distance from shops, museums and cafes though some of Bristol's best sites are too far away for walking. A good place for a short break.

Not a particularly good-looking hotel on the outside but very modern on the inside with plenty of faccilities available (bar, restaurant, gym) Front desk staff were very welcoming and we were offered a choice of room on arrival. A great hotel and only 20 mins away from the airport in a car. The reception is on the first floor but is well decorated and staff are pleasant enough. The honors rooms are the usual Hilton standard, clean and tidy and well maintained. Did not have chance for food but certainly would go back no problem

Six of us booked three twin rooms for a re-union weekend. The hotel is well situated in the centre of town and only five minutes walk from the train station. The rooms were a good size with modern furniture and fittings. The bathroom was clean and modern. The hotel has good parking facilities. The breakfast (which was very good) was served in 'The Kiln'; an old used kiln. The staff were friendly and efficient. Stayed here 2 nights on business. Good friendly staff at check in. Room was ok with everything in good condition. Nice view of the cathedral. Can hear the traffic but was not too bad as had a good night sleep on both nights. Bathroom a bit small but ok. Had dinner in the restaurant which was very good. Very friendly waiters and good service. Good selection at breakfast. Plenty of car parking space. Not close to anything so need a car or can take taxi. Free wifi internet which was good.

Stayed here before our early morning flight from Bristol airport, quick check in, nice room except for the stains on the curtains (looked like blood) and the dirt in the shower. Parking was £12.50 and you can park right outside the hotel entrance basically. Short walk to Cabot Circus and the Harbour. We have stayed in Doubletrees all over the world as we love them. We would give this 5/5 if the room's cleanliness was better.

We stayed our last night in Britain here on this recent trip and enjoyed this hotel. Once we found our way on foot from the Bristol Temple Meads train station, we were warmly welcomed at check-in after we entered through the lower lobby and took a very smoky smelling elevator to the main lobby with our luggage. Not good value for the money. One of the best features is that there is on-site parking, although you have to pay for it. The room was ok - although not as clean as should be expected given how expensive it is. Why is a room in Bristol more expensive than a fine hotel in the heart of London? It doesn't make any sense. Breakfast totally not worth the additional expense.

This experience was a bit disappointing. The hotel is ok, very close to the center, the room was comfortable, but it barely justifies the price. The public areas are somewhat old and dark but the Hilton hhonors rooms were very nice and I enjoyed the very fast internet and many satellite tv channels. Great staff, nice comfy rooms, warm cookie at checkin is a winner. Rain shower head is also a nice adding to the renewed showered experience. Location is very convenient for Temple Meads station, and about a 10 minute walk into town. The room was clean, the staff friendly, and the breakfast was good and in a very attractive circular room. Only downs were small, slow lifts, and the shower wasn't good. Very low water pressure and a screen that leaked. It wasn't a work trip, so didn't even try the wifi. The joy! :) Overall would recommend.

DeLuxe Room was well appointed, larg... Read more

Spotless, modern, well appointed rooms. Excellent shower, comfortable beds and the best hotel pillows I've come across. Restaurant menu and staff excellent too. Maybe not a "luxury" venue but a solid, faultless choice for a business or city trip.

Stayed a few weeks ago, this is a really good hotel. The rooms are very comfy, quite and clean, the bar food tasty and the breakfast was really good for a buffet (sausages are very good) and the staff helpful and friendly. If you need a hotel to stay in Bristol I don't think you could go far wrong with this one.

Not the most prepossessing hotel to look at from the outside, but our visit to the Doubletree Bristol was great. The staff at this hotel were super efficient and very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Good location next to St. Mary Redcliffe and just a 10 minute walk to the centre of town. Excellent breakfast and perfectly satisfactory rooms.

Stayed here with my partner for the night as we were out in the evening in Bristol. Amazing, clean, light and fresh hotel, staff were really friendly, great location. We had breakfast in the morning which was lovely, the only teeny thing I could pick up on is that the beans weren't overly hot, but that's the only thing and definitely not an issue. Wish we could have stayed longer, will definitely be returning.

My experience with this hotel was terrible. Although the room was pleasant the service and food was not good. Although I was with a group on a holiday weekend the food service was over an hour late and then the risotto was not even cooked completely - the asparagus was raw. The second night every meal included either meat or cream sauce and when I asked for a substitution meal was told as long as I paid an additional cost it was possible - not even a sandwich or a side salad was offered. Good location. Ten-fifteen minute walk to Cabot's Circus and central shops. Parking charge at Hotel was £12:50 for 24hrs which isn't cheap. Paid £10 pp for breakfast but it was good as you would expect.

The DoubleTree was an amazing venue for our recent conference, the location is very central and easy to get to Bristol Temple Meeds station as well as having parking on site. The facilities were lovely and the staff all very attentive, friendly and helpful. There was a brilliant choice of food at lunch, i was particularly grateful to have so much choice in the vegetarian section! Thank you to the chef and catering team for lunch and the cake, pastries and coffee throughout the day. All very im... Read more

After following my incorrectly noted postcode and ending up 10 miles from the hotel, I was guided in by a helpful person in the hotel who answered my distress call! On arrival I was welcomed by Anca, a friendly and empathetic receptionist who turned out also to have been my personal sat-nav. She offered me a warm cookie as I checked in and said she would upgrade my room to help sooth any angst from my journey. Though this was unnecessary it was also a delightful gesture and along with her smiles... Read more

Lovely and clean hotel offering great location for all the brilliant shops and ample bars and restaurants. Plenty of parking for this hotel, and you need to pay at reception, although I feel it is a little pricey. The breakfast is hot and fresh and plenty of it, This is my second stay at this hotel and it wont be the last.

Visited the hotel for a charity event and it was excellent from start to finish. Check in was straight forward and quick. Rooms were lovely, very clean with modern décor. The event was ran perfectly, food was fantastic for a large event and staff were friendly and helpful. We had a very nice breakfast on the Sunday morning to finish off our perfect stay and event. Will definitely be using them again and would highly recommend to others.

Don't be fooled by 70s externals. The interior is great, modern, clean and functional. Super welcome, fabulous room, delicious breakfast and a perfectly decent gym. Good city centre stay location at a hotel that I will now use for all business trips to Bristol.

Welcoming and helpful staff and reception. Warm and cosy rooms and not too small; at least big enough to both move at same time. Everything worked in room. Surprisingly good evening meal. Would stay again.

A good hotel with good staff but no different to any other good hotel, very happy although doesn't stand out from any other good hotel. Good location for most of Bristol, will definitely use again if visiting the area.

Hotel is very close to the train station. Outer building looks dated but is stylish and modern inside. Staff are helpful and attentive. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. The TV is a good size (though the one in my room kept re-setting itself). The only downside is that you can hear people either in their room or the corridor. If your looking for a wonderful breakfast try Chatterton's Cafe across the road from the hotel (innocuous cream coloured building, entrance at the side of the ... Read more

Very convenient for bus from Bristol Airport. A few hundred yards from Temple Meads rail station for access to Bath and Christmas market. Staff very friendly and efficient. Reception area cold and draughty. Breakfast waiting staff exceptionally pleasant and efficient. Tamara's smile deserves a special mention and breakfast was good quality produce with extensive choice. I stayed at the Doubletree whilst attending a week of training in their very well equipped conference suite. It was a real treat to stay in such a lovely hotel whilst studying. The room was very stylish and and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The ability to control the heating was most welcome during the coldest week of the year so far. Bottled water was provided daily and a good array of the usual toiletries. Because I was working, I ordered room service every night and each time... Read more

Stayed here for two nights meeting friends, hotel staff very friendly & welcome cookies a nice touch, we had rooms with Hilton Honurs very clean & spacious with nice toiletries & a nice big shower although I did think it a bit excessive to throw away the soaps when we were having more than a nights stay. Short walk to train station so a bonus or it would have been if the train to Bath was running. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that but would definitely stay again,

Our stay at the DoubleTree in Bristol was as a leisure weekend break using one of the offers available as a HHonors member. The hotel is well situated in close proximity to Bristol City Centre, took us about 10-15 minutes at leisurely pace to get there and back. The outside of the building is miss-leading as it was probably constructed in the 60's / 70's, but don't let that put you off. Inside the reception area is up a flight of stairs or you can take the lift (more on the lift later!). The s... Read more
