Very large hotel with many guests, which means crowded breakfast hall. Ideally located just some hundred meters from the old town. If you have a few more bucks to spend, get a superior room at the top of the 20-storey-something building. There you have nice rooms and a magnificient view of the city. Ask for the harbour-view-rooms.

I spent 3 nights here for a workshop, and everything was ok. The organization was good, the logistics, the quality of the rooms (except for the noise of the heating system, but it was not a big problem), and also the breakfast and the lunch buffet. The hotel is perfectly located very close to the city center, so it is a good spot also for those coming to Tallinn for leisure.

Inflexible robotic personnel. I arrive at noon with a baby on a Saturday. I can see so many people have checked out and are leaving. I ask if I could check in a bit earlier (than the 2 pm) but the non smiling face keeps repeating the same sentence: - No, the rooms not ready yet. - Can you kindly check the situation please? I have a baby and I really need to put him to sleep. - No, the rooms not ready yet. No smile. Then I send a handsome man to ask and she gives him not one room, two! Nev... Read more

We were at study trip in Estonia and we stayed in Sokos Hotel Viru. The hotel was excellent and you were able to find everything what you needed there: nice rooms, free Wi-Fi, easy to get a bus, a streetcar or a taxi, nourishing breakfast and polite staff. There were also a restaurant and a night club in the hotel. The views in the 10th floor were unbeliavable beautiful. There were also family-rooms in the hotel. The hotel's location is great, you are able to go easily shopping centre, Tallinn's... Read more

Ok so I was there for about 4 days while visiting Talin, I thought that the rooms were nice and all the staff like the cleaning staff and receptionists where realy nice to us when we asked for directions. Every morning we ate a good breakfest in the hotel and then went out to the city full of energy.

This is the absolute best place to stay in Tallinn. Centrally located with amazing views from the room!!! And top of all this .. This hotel has 3 different restaurants 2 pubs and a great nightclub (entrance free for guests) .. and 3 minute walk to Old town ... The best Mall (shopping center) is right next to it and can be accessed through the hotel reception... Staff were extremely helpful!! Receptionists day and night were absolutely wonderful !! Centrally located and easy to find, 10min walk from harbour, less than 5min to old town. Friendly service, clean room (we have suite with own sauna) and a view over Tallinn. Free wi-fi, Viru shopping center at same building, restaurants and bars, buffet style breakfast, with plenty of choices and good quality. There are different parking areas available, the nearest garage at Viru center was about 20‚?¨/ day, cheapest was about 10‚?¨/day.

Booked a room at a chain hotel and from my absolute no-no hotels list in Tallinn of course. How did I end up there? Wow, where do I start.. Quick trip, in&out, where ever there's vacancy. Well, I got what I asked for: tiny and obscenely expensive room. Never-ever again and this time I really mean it. The mini trip was salvaged by our dinner at Enzo's.

Excellent location, just sit right next to a big shopping mall and the bus terminal, a nice park nearby, just 5 mins walk to the old town and close to the port. The hotel room is simple but nice and with good buffet breakfast offered. Awesome view from the hotel rooms.

The room is very nice and they have free water bottles as well as a mini fridge. The breakfast room buffet is very large and it is part of the price of your room. The food selection was extensive include hot breakfast items, eggs, bacon, ham, etc and lots of cold food, cheese, breads and coffee/tea and Juice. The staff are very friendly. There are pubs to eat in in the hotel as well.

Just decided to visit Tallinn for one day and stay in hotel which was offering a nice view to the old town and sea. We were pleasantly surprised with amazing and very pleasant service! We took an Junior Suite Twin room and asked for highest available floor for enjoying with views of Tallinn. Was there for 1 night. Hotel is very centrally located. There is a walkway to the shopping mall next to it. Less than 5 min walk to the old town. Hotel is very clean and comfortable but it would be better if they have a small kettle for the convenience of those who are too lazy to go down just for a cuppa.

The room was clean and comfortable and had a nice view of the old town. But there were no electric kettle, no free bottles of water and no free teabags.... The bathroom was also a joke. The shower was not a cubicle nor was it properly enclosed. There was neither a shower base/tray with water outlet. There was only a very narrow plastic partition between the shower and the toilet/wash basin so there was water everywhere after a shower. Fortunately I had newspapers to soak up the water or else... I stayed in Viru hotel with my family. As we have a baby, we thought we might have to spend slightly more time in the room than usually and decided to book a junior suite. We were given a room on 20th floor. Unfortunately upon arrival to the room it appeared the airconditioning was not working. My husband complained to the reception and they swiftly sent a repairman. He fixed the problem, however the air still did not get any cooler. They sent another repairman who told us he would not be able ... Read more

A day before stay, I have called and confirmed that early checkin is possible for superior room and upon arrival, the reception girl name Kristina rudely refused our check-in. Good clean room with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was also clean and nice with an extra plus if you like bidet! We got a room high up and the view was amazing! It might be very crowded around breakfast which made us return to eat at a later time because there were no free tables. The hotel is connected to a mall if you need to do some shopping which is very convenient. And at last the hotel also has a pokestop for those of us who likes that :)

I arrived at the hotel at 1pm and my room wasn't ready - not an issue since checkin time isn't until 4pm (I think), and I was planning to go out to explore. So I dropped my bags, and headed out. When I got back, not only had I been upgraded to a room on the top floor (with an excellent view), but they also left a beautiful fruit plate, bottle of sparkling wine, and a box of chocolates with an apology note for inconveniencing me - which they hadn't done at all! We have used Sokos Hotels before a lot and they never fail, although they may not be the most "adventurous" choice. On the window ledge there were two cushions, so you could sit there and watch the view over the city. The breakfast was only thing that didn't quite meet my requirements. Th... Read more

We stayed at this hotel for a four nights. Overall the place is nice and in a very good location. Just next to the old town as well as a shopping center, not to mention the KGB museum on the top floor. The room was clean and spacious and the breakfast was also good. The only disadvantages that I can mention is that the air conditioning the room was not good at all and you could not open the windows. Also the WiFi was on and off in the room and for a good connection you need to be in the lobby.

The bed cover had a tear in it though, so a couple small details could've been better. Found hairs in the bath as well, but in general it was clean. Breakfast was a disappointment.
