Everything was fine. The standard room is a bit smallish, but convenient. You need a special offer for the price to ba really competitive. Look for those. Our's was Black friday offer. Breakfast is included, but it was a disappoinment. Quite standard fare, especially looking at the good reviews it has received.

We booked a family deluxe room with family. It was great, nice bed for two child and plenty of space. Because of something we had all the time key cards stopping to work. But luckily the process to get a new one from reception was quick and easy.

Stayed there two years ago, but never managed to write a review.... I had a really nice experience with the hotel as after a long flight in the very early morning and a long business meeting, I got in the hotel, took my card, open the door of my room, finding a messy, not cleaned room. I went to the reception not with my nice look, expressing outrage about the situation...What I got as an apology was a great, beyond expectation suite at the top floor. And they also offer a very good breakfast!

All you need under one roof. A very good hotel with its own bar, restaurant and pub. Good choice of food at the buffet breakfast including gluten free and other alternative options. An undercover walk through to the shopping precinct, which also has the bus terminal and a supermarket on the basement level. The hotel is located just over the road from the old town wall gates and you can be right in the centre in a less than 10 minute walk. The hotel itself has a fascinating history and a tour o... This is very old hotel and has been renovated some years ago. Still the suite I had was very worn out, especially the floor. The room had great view and a sauna, which was nice :) You can access the Viru shopping mall from the lobby, nice feature during winter time. Hotel has a nice pub with decent variety of beer and whisky and Amigo night club, whis used to be one of the most popular in Tallinn (don't know if it still is popular). Hotel guests have free access to Amigo.

Location- the hotel was ideally located for the old town and getting around Tallinn. Rooms- modern and clean. Service- friendly service who were able to provide good suggestions for places to eat etc. Price- very reasonable compared to similar hotels in Tallinn. History of the hotel/KGB Museum- the hotel has a fascinating history whilst Estonia was under Moscow control. So a visit to the KGB Museum in the hotel is a must.

We didn't stay at this hotel but did the KGB Museum and tour - remember to book in advance as it sells out very quickly. You get to go the the top floor (yes, there's another secret floor above floor 22!) and see how the KGB spied on all those foreigners who stayed at the Hotel, not knowing their bread plate was bugged and that they were being spied on. Our guide told us fascinating stories, facts and was very entertaining. Highly recommend this.

The KGB museum is small but fascinating and the view over the old city from the balcony is breath-taking. The guide was enthusiastic, knowledgable and very entertaining. I only visited the museum and I did not stay at the hotel

We stayed because of the history and promised views of Tallinn and the sea. We had a top floor room with a view had window seats so you could watch the sunset, the changing sky and sea, the old town and the cruise shops coming and going. When I say the top floor I mean the penultimate one as the KGB museum is at the very top. The building is like a converted office block. The room was modern, quiet and clean with a comfortable bed. Well located with a short walk across the road to the old city... Read more

I was expecting a bit more from this legendary hotel. The location is excellent as well as the view from the highest floors. The public spaces deserve the 4 stars, byt the out of date rooms with worn out floors and hostel level bathrooms do not. Breakfast could have been a bit more innovative than it was - some Estonian touch would have been welcome, although it is a Finnish-owned hotel. There are several better alternatives at this price range available in Tallinn, so I don't think I'll be back... Read more
