This hotel was very nice and an excellent value, it is located right in the middle of the old town so it is a great location for tourists. The staff were very nice and we didn't have any problems with check-in or anything. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom nice, it was in a cool, old building. The internet didn't work in our room because the wifi signal didn't reach, but it was only for one night and didn't bother us, we could use internet inside the cafe area. The hotel is attached... Food was terrible. Room was poor. They were doing cleaning 20.00 and also 8.00, so didn't get much sleep. It felt like someone did some repairs also. Didn't like vacuumcleaners in corridors. House was nice however. Didn't like the bed, it was too soft or something was wrong with it, got major backpain.

Very nice, clean hotel in Old Town, near by market place. We had room on the first floor by the street, but cars sound did'n bother us. Room was funny narrow so beds was not side by side like usually. Travelling with my sister, that was good ;-) Breakfast was versatile, plenty of everything, bacon, eggs, sausages, meatballs, porridge, bread, cheese, cold cuts, tomato, cucumber...

A nice hotel at a very fair price in a very good location. When I first arrived and walked in I thought I was in the wrong place because there's a cafe just inside and at the far side there's a small (kind of small anyway) sign to the reception, following that sign you walk out again into a backyard (or "garden" I guess) and almost through to the road on the other side before you find the reception. Seemed a bit odd at first...

This hotel can't be a 4 stars hotel for sure! It has no lobby (they offer to seat at first floor cafe aria), small reception, not friendly staff, no real king size bed (instead of that - 2 beds together) with 2 small blankets for a couple! You kidding? Even the hotel doesn't have an extra big blanket. We had a superior room, but it was even worth then an economy one. Old furniture in a room, ugly window, 1 euro coffee in coffee-machine. Look at the real pictures from the breakfast- look not lik... Read more

This hotel in the middle of the coblestones-old-centre of Tallinn and it caters to tourists, sometimes busloads. But the service is good, the breakfast is acceptable(sometimes a bit crowded), the rooms are clean, the wifi is good. For motorcyclists: there is space for 2 or 3 motorcycles in the courtyard. If there are not too many of you they let you park there. Very convenient in a strongly parking-regulated centre. Wifi is good enough to use VPN-for-work. Staff speaks mostly good english, b... Our room was tiny. Pocket-size! Somehow, though, they managed to squeeze in all the things you expect to find, including a tea kettle, (yay!) We had an early departure so they provided us with a Take-Away breakfast. / Helpful hint: If you're willing to walk 6 minutes you can find 24 hour parking outside the city walls for 10 euro.

Wonderfully situated right in the old town. Although it's about 5 minutes on foot, max, to the main square it's much quieter. The only negative would be that the bathrooms are small. But if you want to stay in the historical part of Tallinn, this is something you have to expect. We absolutely loved it and would go back.

Walked in the main entrance but wasn't obvious that it was a hotel. The reception is tucked away around the back of the property (we had to ask which way it was). The woman on reception was quite blunt and not particularly friendly (the night receptionist was completely rude and uninterested in our issue. She just looked bored and couldn't really communicate very well). Check in was at 2pm. We got there at 3pm and were given the key to our room. However when we got to it it was not made up (ol... I had a room in the Meriton Old Town GARDEN hotel, located near the main square on Pikk Street. This is NOT the Meriton Old Town, which is located at the north end of Tallinn, near the â??Fat Margaretâ?? Tower (apologies to any Margarets out there. I did not name this towerâ?¦ just reporting in here.) I am making this distinction because, in reading these reviews, I think some people get confused between the two places. Be sure you know which one you are staying in. Our building was nicely loc... Read more

The staff is lovely and the hotel is located within walking distance of everything you want to see. It's on the widest street in the city so easy to find when you are on a walking tour. Very recognizable and the hotel actually walks through on both sides. The morning breakfast is fresh and delicious. I would stay here again.

Stated here recently on a 2 night midweek break. Hotel rooms were nice and clean .... breakfast choice was limited but more than adequate. Tallinn itself is a beautiful old town, full of charm with small, cobbled streets and this hotel is ideally located to explore all of it (with an added bonus of a fab coffee shop attached!).

We had to move from a hotel down the street when we unexpectantly had to stay an extra night and there wasn't availability at the first place. The Meriton Old Town Garden Hotel was so much nicer. Super friendly front desk staff, who followed up on a minor question we asked when we checked in. The room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. Even though we were right on the street on a Saturday night, it wasn't loud at all. I wish we were staying there longer, it was a very pleasant experience... Read more

The location is superb, two blocks from the old city square, and within easy distance to the port and ferry. The room and breakfast were good but not extraordinary. Free wi-fi. I would have given a higher rate but I must say that the lift goes only to the 3rd floor, if your room is on the 4th or 5th floor you must haul your bags using stairs. No problem for most people, but it might be cumbersome for others

It was a very nice, comfy stay, no complaints at all from me! It had everything needed at a very affordable price. I got two nights of beautiful sleep which I am very happy about! The hotel is very central to the old town which is a pleasure to sample!

The Meriton Old Town Garden Hotel is right in the heart of the old town. The room looked a bit rundown at first sight but was absolutely fine and clean. Good sized bathroom with shampoo and shower gel. Breakfast was good too. The hotel has a little outside space where you can sit. Overall good value for the price and in a great location.

A jail for malaysian drug dealers has bigger rooms than this hotel. Don't believe the fotos on the web page. Tallinn is wonderful, but the people here don't care. "If you don't like it, someone else is going to come." A double room has less than 4 square meters- including bathroom. For the price you have to pay here, you can have a 5 star hotel 2 km out of the centre or take a tent and go to a camping place. Everything is better than this.

All the rooms we have seen are tiny, nothing like in the pictures the hotel advertises with. The first night we were installed in an attic, where we could barely stand upright and on the way to where one almost breaks their neck. There was nothing to hang our clothes. This was sold to us as a "standard room" but it did not match the description of a standard room on the site we had booked. We were told that this was the only room left, even though we had booked 4 months in advance. We were then ... Read more

We asked for a lower floor room and although the room was relatively small, there was still a coffee table area and a good sized shower/wet room. Windows opened so able to get fresh in a very warm week. Hotel is connected to a restaurant/cake shop and we ate in their restaurant once (bigger than we had thought) with excellent service from a really attentative waiter. We talked about Estonian Gin and he ran out of the restaurant and brought us back a small bottle of their local product....! W... Read more
