To be 100% honest - I was searching for not expensive option in old town. I was not focusing on fancy interior at first place. As result, I received small room on 4th floor, where dust on a table appear every day(tested:cleaned by myself-it appeared on a table very next day). The biggest problem for me was bathroom -photo attached. Tube from washbasin went to open hole like for a shower. Can you imagine how stinky it was?! From positive: Very friendly and helpful personel + good breakfasts.

We have booked three standard double rooms pretty much in advance. We drove from Riga at abt 9 pm on the 3rd of May and entered the hotel. The guy at the reception put his eyes down and said that one of three rooms would have twin beds. We said, well, not pleasant but fine as we were tired. Then we went to see that room and....we saw a room 302 without windows. There were fake windows. See pictures. My question is how it is possible that 4* hotel offers you a room without windows and without e... Read more

Can't beat the location and old world charm right in the heart of Old Town Tallin. Everything from staff to breakfast to our room exceeded our expectations at an affordable price. Felt like we entered the 12th Century and didn't have to leave by having our hotel so close to everything. We walked to all attractions, restaurants, churches because the hotel is close to the Town Hall square. We weren't interested in anything outside of Old Town where we were immersed in the history. Wouldn't stay an... Read more

Hotel is located in the old town in an old, beautiful bank building. It's even possible to get in the big old safe. We stayed for 1 night so didn't explore the hotel so much. Room was stylish, little bit old-fashioned, but really clean and nice with a wonderful view over the rooftops. Good breakfast. Good wifi. It was a little bit noisy at the night cause there are some bars down the street but you can find the ear plugs in the room.

Have stayed several times in Barons, lovely building, first impression when entering the reception is that the building is coming down but everything is always in good shape, rooms are spacious, great breakfast rooms and amazing details as the safe box communications room kept as it was 70-80 years ago. For the price you usually van get a room and its location, Barons is always a safe bet for a 1-2 days Business visit

Loved staying for 2 nights. I would recommend this hotel for its location, cleanness, Staff. There is some road construction( replacing 300 year old water lines) going on in front of the building on way to square. Not a problem, there are some streets that have shut down some businesses due to construction. Just to quickly give my opinion of hotel, really enjoyed it. Loved the old elevator, nice breakfast room and a helpful staff. This hotel help make my visit to Tallinn a real pleasure.Be carefu... Read more

The hotel is located in an old building in a very lively part of the Old City. I was there on Thursday, so it was reasonably quiet, but the place should get more noisy on warm summer weekends. The hotel is well decorated and clean; one of the elevators is some 100 years old, but has been restored and is fully functional - not a very usual experience. The room on the fifth floor was small, but comfortable, with two windows and some rooftop view. There was fast (and free) wifi in the room, it w... Read more

Really warm and cosy place to stay. One could enjoy an old elevator and squeaky floors giving that home feeling, while others would appreciate a sauna inside an apartment which is great for winter visits. Amazing sunsets from some rooms with an old city view. A rather decent breakfast was included in room rate and was served in the roomy restaurant on the second floor. There are a few clubs on the same square so it might be disturbing sometimes but the sauna and awesome bed was so relaxing we ha... Read more

The service was impeccable, and the hotel interior was gorgeous with beautiful old woodwork and glass throughout. Our room had everything an intrepid traveller could want, and it was clean and comfortable. The lobby is cozy, with refreshments served, and the breakfast buffet was generous and tasty. I would return in a heartbeat.

Spent two nights here in July. Staff was nice and room was clean. Elevator is a bit "rickety" but functional and our 5-year old loved it. Breakfast was OK, good coffee and juices. Location is excellent, and there is nearby gated parking. Recommended for your stay in Tallinn.

We stayed here for a night while visiting Tallinn and we couldn't have asked for a better place to be located. Right in the heart of the old town, everything was only a short walk away. We splurged on a suite and the room was spectacular and very affordable. Only two comments would be that the breakfast isn't great and they could improve their towels. Though neither should put you off.

If you are looking for that old town feeling, this is the hotel for you! Great location! Breakfest was not the best I have eaten (not so many options). Our rooms seemed to be quite newly renovated, though furnitures were old so it didn't feel as renovated as it should, but I think that location was so good that we would visit the hotel again!

100 year old bank palace converted to lovely hotel. Very helpful staff. Nice bar and cosy, comfortable cigar lounge for the afficionados. Perfect location in old city. Good breakfast table. Highly recommended. Fascinating history to be read on the hotel's home page.

The hotel is located in the Old Town, all tourist destinations inside the town walls can be reached within a few minutes foots walk. It was a former bank building, some of the details of the building's history are nicely preserved und integrated into the hotel's conecept (for example the old safe or the elevator). The rooms are large enough even for a longer stay (we stayed there for 11 nights). You will be able to unpack your luggage. Be prepared for very soft beds. Noise from the streets at ni... Read more

I absolutely LOVE this hotel. The location is excellent - just 7 min from the ferry terminal by taxi, 20 min to the airport by taxi and 3 min walk to the town square. Basically, everything in the Old Town is within walking distance. You are never far from a cafe or restaurant or something pretty. The hotel itself has an old world charm. The history of the building adds on to the feel of the hotel and yes, a lift from yesteryear is being used. The room and toilet/shower are adequately equi... Read more

Hotel is located in the heart of old town, 1 minute from the main square. It is also only a pleasant 20 minute walk from the ferry terminal. The hotel itself is charming, the rooms and bathrooms are all nicely sized allowing you to unpack without feeling cramped. Beds are comfortable and the room was air conditioned making for easy sleeping. There is free breakfast provided which we found great. Tea, coffee, juices and a good selection of hot and cold foods (cereals, toast, bacon, eggs, cold meats,p... Read more

The location of the hotel is excellent, yet at least our room (allergy room) was of poor quality: no window, broken tiles, broken shower and broken lamp in the room, dirty shower curtain, air condition asked for cleaning the filter. Can't recommend.

Marvelous hotel in the center. From here you will be able to reach any museum in 5-10 minutes on foot. Old style, big rooms. Good windows and doors - so in the room is very quiet. Breakfast is good, but not the big choice.

We stayed here last week for 4 nights. We were in the lap of luxury in room 304 with a very large room, sitting area and sofa. There aS a small walk in shower, which is what we prefer. The hotel is right in Old town, easy for walking. Breakfast was good with a great selection. The only problem was that there are no taxi's allowed in Old town, soon e must get bags to the hotel. When leaving, the staff crammed a taxi and a porter took our bags. There is a lift!! Don't miss this special hot... Read more

Great location. Old fashioned. Cute. Lovely staff. Good price. What's not to like. Give it a try. Nothing wrong. Enjoy. Tallin is a lovely City. The Airport is so close to the City centre. Taxis are right there for you and reasonable. Short break. Go for it.

I'm currently staying in this hotel. I actually wouldn't recommend it at all ever. Very disappointed. Rooms are absolutely run down and dated. Very small and cramped. Nothing matches at all. They call it a boutique hotel.... I've been to many boutique hotels worldwide this is not one. It's just awful. Breakfast is dreadful and cold. Also the breakfast room is just dreadful and dated. This is an awful hotel. Perhaps a suite is better.....

We love older, quirkier hotels and this fit the bill. A big comfortable en suite twin room with a great view up into the old town. Breakfast was on the floor below and was a tasty hot and cold buffet. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The only downside was that there's a lot of noise from the nearby bars and restaurants at night - it's not really quiet until around 4 if you, like us, prefer to sleep with open windows. However, we caught up easily by napping mid afternoon in between explorin... Read more
