I stayed at the Hotel for 3 nights for a business trip. Check in was fairly simple and they now use the digital key which you can use from your mobile device. It worked sometimes, so make sure you still carry your room key. The mix of restaurants is pretty good. The steak restaurant is very good. The room service is your typical Marriott but cheap compared to Western Marriotts. A Marriott burger is £5 which is very good. If you use the Taxi servcie make sure you tell them you want a Toyota, ... Read more

Hotel is close to downtown Cairo short drive to Egyptian Museum and some rooms have views of the Nile River. This hotel used to be a palace and the main areas are the original palace and on each side are the added hotel rooms. The rooms were spacious and had a lovely balcony. This is a bustling hotel with people from all over the world, like I said in my title its like a mini city with cafes, hairdressers & lots of restaurants plus an amazing breakfast had every morning. I would particularly, l... Read more

We visited for the Lions club all Africa conference and stayed in the suite. Breakfast was good. Room was clean on 1st day but subsequent cleaning was below standard. Staff not really friendly pretending not to understand English. Being the 1st time in Egypt am not sure if I will return unless for compulsory business

I was surprised that cairo was very cold in January so I was to suffer from the drafts while moving around the hotels. The restaurants are very clean and the food is very tasty in all of them. There is a big variety of restaurants: French, Italian, American and Japanese. The most ones I enjoyed were Roy's kitchen ( American style) and Tori i (Japanese ). The prices at Roy are more reasonable but the experience at (Tori i) is great and unique. My thanks to Hany and Ashraf Ibrahim at Tori for the... Read more

Firstly we are staying here for 12 nights, as we wanted to spend our chinese new year vacation in Cairo. We are only half way through our trip- 6 nights and have 6 nights remaining, however i think this hotel is worthy of this review. Prior to arriving, i had been communicating with Mr Omar the GM, to specify our requirements, as we arrived early and leave late. Further, we had our 2 and 4 year old child with us. I can say all our needs had been met and i am forever grateful for Mr Omar's undiv... Read more

Check in is very slow. It took me 30 minutes to check in. When I went to my room the key was not working. Another 20 minutes to send someone to open my room. This is the first impression I had last night.

Nothing beats being in an old palace. The main advantages are the location (Zamalek) and the garden. Common areas are good for meetings or just to relax. The rooms are ok, could use an upgrade. The food in the restaurants is great and the staff at Egyptian Nights wonderful. I would like to particularly comment on Abd El Mohsen who has been helpful, professional and such a pleasure to talk with. Also, the hostess Nermin was quick to assist us and find us a table although it was a very crowded nig... Read more

I came here for business and am sure will.come again. Starting from check in shimaa from the reception gave me a very decent room with Nile view which made me amazed every morning and night. Then I had an event and Abdul rehim hamada took care of my meeting group. This guy made all impossible to be possibles. Changed the room settings with last min requests , u just dream and he make it true. Once it comes to food u must ask to meet chef Ibrahim Abdul Aziz he is a magician not a chef. He cooked ...
