I keep coming back because I know that each time, I will experience a fabulous service. Everyone is very friendly, and helpful. The hotel is located so close to the main activities Quito has to offer. I love Swissotel and will come back to stay at hotel next year.

The Hotel is nice however they will try to overcharge you any chance they get. After paying in for my stay in full they wanted a $500 deposit. Afterwards they charged me for a rollaway bed because they didn't have my room ready and they decided to put me in a different room with a rollaway bed. Got charged for the extra bed and didn't realize it until after I left. I called them back and they said they are going to credit my card. It's been well over a month and I'm still waiting for that credit... Read more

stayed from 13may16 to 27may16 at the extended long stay suites with family of 4. Must say rooms are dated but very clean. breakfast was satisfactory. Must mention four very wonderful people at the suites named Aida, Nancy and waiters both named Diego. I would stay at the hotel again.

Everything was perfect including their accommodating staff. Great location and pleasant visit. If you are looking for an upscale location like you would find in the United States this is it. What was really special was their offer of a late check out and a delightful spa to enjoy as well.

There was an unfortunate mixup at. check-in. The hotel did not have my reservation. Staff were courteous in resolving this but never gave me a satisfactory explanationn. La Locanda for dinner was very good. Location was rather drab and sterile but there are always taxis. More expensive than my travel budget accommodates.

We stayed at the Swissotel as part of a tour for 2 nights prior to going to the Galapagos. I was disappointed. The hotel was nice to look at, and well appointed, but our room was not good. The air conditioner made a lot of noise, and the room never got below 74 degrees (despite having the a/c set to 60 degrees). We asked to have it looked at twice, but nothing happened. Despite being a 4 star hotel, none of the staff spoke fluent English (except in the restaurants). The pool was nice,... Read more

My friend I took the bus and got off at the stop at Swissotel. We were planning to walk to a restaurant, but it started raining quite heavily, so we ate in the Sports Bar instead. I paid $11 for a very large, topping-heavy, "small" pizza. It was quite good, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming, even though we were soaking wet.

We stayed for three nights to see Quito prior to a Galapagos trip, and were very happy with the hotel. Our room was not the largest, but was comfortable and well appointed, though the bathroom could have done with a little updating. The pool was lovely and the food excellent, both the breakfast and the Lo Locanda restaurant. The staff were great. It is in the newer part of town so not the most interesting area, but there are a number of restaurants very close by. One unfortunate thing was the no... Read more

I have been in and out of Quito on business for a few months. First the Marriott and very glad decided to move out to the Swissotel. The facilities are first class and I can not say enough about the professionalism and courtesy of all the staff. They really make you feel extremely welcome and at home. The facilities are the best and a great selection of very good in hotel restaurants. A great area for walking and close to some excellent restaurants within the area.

We stayed here as part of a change in the Tren Crucero itinerary and were not impressed. It certainly is not Ecuadorean in feel, just a predictable okay chain hotel room. The lower restaurant which we were assigned to was particularly poorly run - we had to flag down a waiter to even put in a drink order, it took forever to get our food and then the check. The location is good if you want to be in the newer hotel area of Quito.

This was a pleasant surprise for a stay in Quito. The staff at the front desk and in the lobby were professional and very courteous, check in and check out were a breeze. Available newspapers were only in Spanish. The room was spotless and had everything I needed, including a wake up call as requested (does anyone else request these anymore?). The TV seemed a little complicated to operate (as demonstrated by hotel staff), but I didn't use it, so no worries. Love the automated blinds. Heating/c... Read more

We stayed here twice during a group tour. Rooms were clean and quite. Staff was very courteous and helpful. After the first stay we were allowed to store some of our belongings which were in our room when we arrived back. Breakfast buffet offered a variety of warm and cold food. Would return next time in Quito.

Wonderful and gracious staff, comfortable rooms, excellent location, very good breakfast buffet. Any question I had was answered fully, helpfully, and with great respect. Everything feels possible here. I was a bit surprised by the cost of laundry, but that's a minor point. I would probably give the hotel a 4.75 for that reason, but that's not an option.

Ten stars would not be enough to describe my love for this hotel. I've stayed in hotels all over the world and rarely do the make any sort of impression let alone inspire me to write a review but in this case I had to make an exception. The hotel is astoundingly beautiful with exquisite little shops and some really incredible food (mainly in the bar and breakfast cafe) but it is really the staff that made my stay so wonderful. The staff's English may not be perfect but their willingness to go... Read more

Comfortable, friendly and great location. Rooms were large and well-appointed, breakfast buffet delicious, and the staff was helpful and kind. We stayed in 3 different rooms by the end of our trip (First night then off to the Amazon, night in the middle, off to the Galapagos, night before flying home) and all were great. Favorite features were the remote control blackout blinds and the indoor/outdoor warm pool. Least favorite was the mattress. These beds were really hard. They have a pillow menu... Read more

The Swissotel in Quito, Ecuador treats their clients like royalty. The rooms are comfortable, clean and are a cut above the rest. My room was more like a suite with 1 1/2 baths, bedroom, seating area, office area and a dining area. Not only did it come equipped with 2 TV's, it also had privacy blinds AND blackout blinds, that were all remote controlled. To get to your room, you used your room card, then pressed your floor, used your room card to enter your room and then place it in a slot that c... Read more

I arrived late at Quito like 10:30pm. So, I ordered the hotel pickup. When we arrived, the concierge was already waiting for me and served a hot towel plus a glass of orange juice to me. What a warm welcome! When I admired how beautiful those roses were in the front desk, I was even given one of the roses. Very sweet of them! Every morning, I had a swim in the heated pool. The hotel itself was extremely clean and nice. Amenities were plentiful. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Wasn't expecting much and was very pleasantly surprised. Pool and gym were excellent facilities. Food was only acceptable but surrounding area had a good variety. Seemed expensive but I think that was just because it was a hotel downtown in a capital city.

Very convenient conference hotel. The view from the 8th floor was magnificent. The best attribute of Swissôtel is the service - prompt and courteous. Breakfast offered numerous options and was delicious! There are better hotels in Quito but Swissôtel provides the best value for your money! You will not be disappointed. Even got memory foam pillow (upon request)!

Swissotel Hotel in Quito was very nice and again the staff was great and spoke English well. The porter who took our bags to our room, I think his name was Santiago, was so good at explaining all the special advantages of our room. You could tell he loved his job and did it well. I just loved how real and nice he was during our entire stay there. I think it is important to note again how well English was spoken at this hotel.

The staff were that rare combination of friendly and competent with a no fuss check-in and quick transfer to our room. Overall it was great. The service and attention from the staff is very good and the rooms are pretty amazing. The only problem is that the room was facing the street and even in the fifth floor you could hear some noise, not much, but still it can be a little annoying, specially in the mornings. Apart from that everything was very good and I liked it a lot, I could recommend it.

We were told that the Swissotel was the best hotel in Quito, and that may be the case, but the rooms are very much in need of some attention. The thermostat in the room did not work, and maintenance was unable to fix it and get any heat in the room, so they left a space heater, which also did not work. The sink drained very slowly, the drain in the tub would not close completely, so you could not take a bath, and it was very difficult to get in and out of the tub/shower. The mattress was like... We stayed two nights as part of a tour so can't comment on value for money. While the rooms were large and comfortable, there were some issues. First, none of the room keys issued to our group worked and we had to go back to reception to get them re-coded. The "low" fan speed on our AC (even only on the vent/fan mode) was loud and no quieter than the medium setting. We checked out another room but that fan rattled. Swissotel is located in a prime location in Quito. The rooms are big and the bathrooms are clean and spacious. The curtains are operated by remote control to ensure complete darkness at night. The staff is very friendly, and they will arrange any need you have. Breakfast has many selections of local Ecuadorian cuisine such as empanadas, local exotic juices: guanábana, mora, naranjilla. This is a great hotel located in the heart of the financial district.

Stayed on the Executive Lounge level in October 2016. Room was large with a fantastic view of Quito and the mountains behind it. As others have noted, room and hotel is a little dated (think early-mid 90s luxury hotel) but I felt that this gave the hotel charm and certainly didn't detract from the stay. Food was excellent, particularly the breakfast buffet. Location was fine - we walked to Old Town and it took about 40 minutes. Would stay again if/when visiting Quito.

This hotel has a better service quality compared to its competitors in Quito. From the very first moment when you arrive, there is a bellman who is offering fresh watermelon juice and warm hand towels. You really appreciate this service after a long flight trip. Breakfast is also a mix of wide variety of local fruits and breads. I highly recommended it.

I spend 7 days at Swissotel on the occasion of the Habitat3 conference. The staff is among the best I've ever encountered in a hotel. The executive lounge is superb and the staff of the lounge amazing. Valeria, Fidel, Henry, Angel, Camila, Erik, and the other staff of the executive lounge made the stay memorable. The rooms are very nice and well equipped. A big professional gym is also at the guests disposal. Breakfast is of a very good quality and variety. I will definitely go back!
