The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean and in good condition. There is a nice pool with saunas in the change rooms, and it is centrally located so it made exploring the city on foot a breeze.

This hotel is in a great central location - easy to explore the city by foot or taxi. Clean, helpful friendly staff, and a nice big outdoor pool. There is free wifi throughout, and the shower water-pressure is incredible!

I really liked Hotel Quito. I imagine it was grand in its day and I got the vibe that it is somewhat of an institution in Quito (locals arriving in for dinner in the restaurant at night, breakfast on the weekends etc). The staff were very helpful and extremely accommodating. The rooms we had (we were there on two separate occasions) were comfortable and clean (I would recommend requesting a pool room view, with a high floor on arrival - these are the better rooms, it is worth waiting a few hours... My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our break from work to celebrate our anniversary. Hotel Quito was perfect. Beautiful setting with amazing views. We enjoyed relaxing by the big pool, and working out in the fully equipped gym. The food was excellent and the view from the 7th floor restaurant was a bonus. Friendly and attentive staff made our stay complete.

We stayed in the Quito hotel before and after photos visit to the Galapagos. It was a great base. Make sure you go the the equator, traditional and the new GPS one which includes cool experiments!! Beat restaurant ever in walking distance - Urko - don't miss it :) Lovely pool area and gym/classes

We stayed here for two nights while on a tour in Quito. The hotel is very nice. Clean rooms, good service, good location. My only complaint is the gym hours. We were there over the weekend and the gym hours are 9am to 3pm - I was never there during those hours and it was not convenient for me and I was really disappointed. The gym looked really nice but instead I had to work out in my room. There is also a nice pool and hot tub. And there was free wi-fi. The rooms were good sized, with com... Read more

I stayed here as part of a tour to the galapagos. The hotel was clean, had a pool and nice views, but no personality. Was very overpriced and up on a hill away from everything. I changed hotels when I decided to add a few days in quito.

I have stayed at Hotel Quito dozens of times, virtually every time I am in Quito. I am always pleased with the service I have received there, from the bellmen to the front desk team to the folks in the restaurant. Even the taxi drivers that wait outside the hotel are terrific -- some of them have been at that taxi stand for 40+ years! The rooms are generally comfortable, the pool is beautiful and heated, and the breakfast buffet is abundant. It's well situated, overlooking Guapulo to one side an... Read more

I had been traveling around Ecuador for a week before coming to Quito and was so pleased to have a nice fully "westernized" room in a local hotel (not a chain). The rooms were clean, pool was heated, and buffet breakfast was delicious. Can't wait to come back again!

We stayed a couple of nights, and the hotel is fantastic. No matter the request, it was dealt with so quickly. We even changed rooms to get a better view. Fabulous view of the mountains and sunset, beautiful pool. The restaurant upstairs is very good, breakfast was included for us, and was a huge buffet with specialty omlets, and the works. Centrally located, you can walk to some of the highest rated restaurants in the city.

The hotel has a nice view to the mountains and there's a fare amount of restaurants nearby. It has a normal clean and nice swimming pool and the rooms, restaurant, reception and everything else is very clean and modern. It's nothing special, but still a very nice hotel.

We recently stayed two nights at this hotel in an executive room furnished with two queen beds.Very comfortable room and the bathroom was clean with good hot water supply. The restaurant at this hotel had an excellent view of the city, great views at night and during the early morning as the sun rises. The breakfasts were plentiful -lots of choices of hot and cold food.We also ate at the restaurant at night and were pleased with our meals, when we only wanted soup one night that was not a problem. ... The hotel is in a great location within walking distance to restaurants and nightlife. The rooms were very comfortable and the hotel was very modern. The restaurant was great and the complimentary breakfast was plentiful. The hotel was much better than I thought after researching it online.

The place is a little old but it worked out ok for is. Nice breakfast and nice swimming pool. Average room with nice views if you ask or get it facing to the back. Good variety of restaurants nearby but not a lot of touristic attach ions, for which you need to hop on a taxi.

My sister and I chose this hotel based on a local couple's recommendation. It was in a great area with great accessibility to restaurants and taxis. The hotel staff was very accommodating. I needed a taxi to the airport very early in the morning and they were great with arranging that and it was only $25. Our first room was on the third floor. The only problem was the wi-fi was not very strong. We called the front desk and they offered to switch us to a different room where the wi-fi signal wa... Read more

Lovely stay, great customer service and caring employees. We stayed in a room out looking the valley and pool, our intention was more of a staycation. I unfortunately got a stomach flu (for some food I ate earlier outside of the hotel) and had a terrible night, but the staff was extremely helpful with my visiting doctor and many (really) many pharmacy deliveries. The only problem I had was the breakfast buffet, which my gf tried. (not many options). Even though my night was ruined, the peop... Read more

We didn't stay here, but met with friends for a conversation and drink from the 7th floor bar at sunset. It's an amazing view; hotel is on a ridge so you can see to central Quito from one side (where the sun sets) and (downstairs) see a valley on the other side. They also have a number of local artisanal beers if you're getting exhausted with Pilsener and Club, the Ecuadorian standards. Reasonably priced. Good service.

clean rooms, confortable, staff very kindly, price vs quality is ok, the breakfast can be served at room or by buffet in the last floor with a very beauty view of the capital, for lucnh or dinner I did not recomend it becuse taste is not so good and prices are expensives, just crossing the street you can get four good restaurante and walking one block near to the American Residence Ambassador is easy to find equadorian coussine and international options

We stayed here as part of our G Adventures trip. We started and ended our trip here. The hotel is appealing on the outside. All the public areas are well kept. The lobby is very modern, the swimming pool is well maintained and many lounge chairs available, the gym was well-equipped, and the restaurant served a very good buffet breakfast. The selections varied and all the dishes were very good. The downside are the rooms. Our night at the beginning of our trip was fine. The rooms are dated but... Read more

First of all, this place has AMAZING views - from the moment you wake up in the morning and peak out the window to see a sun drenched valley up to dinner time when you see the flickering city lights from the restaurant. Wow. The cleaning staff were fantastic! My room was always quickly arranged, the complimentary chocolates were always right on time and when they saw I had pulled off the sheets from the other bed, they left me an additional blanket. They were like fairies. Reception staff was ... Read more

We just spent three days and three nights at the Hotel Quito, which is my go to place when I stay in Quito. I feel compelled to express our gratitude for the wonderful and caring service during our last stay. (See below.) That plus their spacious restaurant with almost 360 degrees of eye-popping city and mountain views, their outdoor heated pool overlooking the valley below, spa and gym, and the excellent location in Quito has made us avid fans. Helpful and nice service staff. Good views (when clear skies). Rooms facing the street are horribly noisy as their is a bar across the street, not to mention the traffic, horns and car alarms. Didn't sleep a wink. For the price ... I expect to be able to sleep.

Stayed here for Habitat3 for a week, so the place was packed with an international crowd. I have to say the staff were always friendly and efficient throughout my stay. Cleaning of rooms was always followed up by staff checking and the whole hotel was spotless. Good breakfasts and great views all around the hotel. Rooms are fine, but a little modernising is required. Wifi good and the gym is also good. You could do a lot worse.

I stayed in the hotel for a conference. It's a fine hotel, except for the fact that it is across the street from a night club that opens from Wednesday and is closed each night at 3am with loud police sirens until everyone finally leaves the club and street. If you're looking for a good night sleep, you'd be better off staying elsewhere.

The hotel has great views, and the rooms have a bit of old fashioned charm. But I really struggled with the noise during my stay for Habitat 3. In the street there is some kind of discotheque. It's really noisy around 3 and 4 am and woke me up every night. I asked the reception staff if there was anything they could do and they just said it was a discotheque and that's the way it is. Secondly, the price for breakfast is very high and there is no notification to tell you that it is not include... Read more

We stayed here as part of a tour and it was a great place. The room was clean with a good balcony overlooking the city of Quito. All the amenities are there in the room and the WiFi is good. The staff were all very helpful and the grounds were fantastic for birds with Hummingbirds whizzing around the huge pool. The restaurant provides good food and the view from the restaurant is stunning. At night the mist rolled in and added to the atmosphere.
