Beautiful hotel with spacious, comfortable rooms and a great breakfast. The hotel is in a perfect location to explore the old city of Quito. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was better than dinner.

We stayed just one night in a duplex room. The room was large with plenty of storage and the bed very comfortable. The lounge area, bathroom, and large wardrobe with safe were upstairs - climbing those slightly slippery stairs to go to the loo in the middle of the night might not suit everyone but the arrangement did make a lovely room. The large TV was in the bedroom not in the lounge - slightly odd but I am not sure who wants to watch TV when staying in a wonderful hotel in a great city! As o... Read more

Excellent location, close to the old town main square and all the attractions. Great size rooms, service was good and the restaurant wonderful. I have stayed in the new town area too, but would prefer the old town if I could choose.

We were very happy with our stay at this charming hotel which is perfectly located in the old town near the central square. The building has plenty of charm and the rooms are all unique. The staff were very helpful and always had a smile for you when you walked back through reception. Because the hotel has been sensitively converted to a hotel, you can expect a little noise in the room as the doors are thin, the pipe work can be noisy and the floorboards are creaky. But don't let that put ... Read more

Hotel Patio Andaluz was delightful! I was with a group of six people, and we all found our rooms extremely comfortable and well-appointed. The service was excellent, and the buffet breakfast that came with the room each morning was excellent. The staff was routinely helpful, friendly, and perfectly comfortable with English. Highly recommended!

This is a beautiful old hotel full oh incredible art and lots of charm. The staff was friendly and gracious to us. The hotel was centrally located and near great restaurants and historical sites. We all loved our stay at Patio Andaluz.

A lovingly converted colonial house right in the heart of the old town ‚?? barely a block to the Presidential Palace ‚?? this is an ideal destination for a casual visitor to Quito. Even more impressive is the outstanding professional staff at this warm and welcoming hotel. General Manager Francisco Baca and Daysi Suasnavas and their staff outdid themselves in handling our special requests prior to our arrival with equally attentive service during our stay. They were truly a pleasure to work with... Read more

The hotel is as beautiful as the photos portray it. The rooms are very nice and most of the staff was too. But, the one time we ate there, (on our first night) my steak was so tough that I could only saw off a couple of bites. I showed my wife and she couldn't even cut a piece off. I showed the waiter too and asked him to have the chef try to cut it but that didn't do any good and I was charged for it anyway. So we didn't eat there again. We only stayed three nights and loved walking around the ... Read more

This is the most amazing hotel. Top floor area with hammocks, a wine cellar and fountain area below. We enjoyed dinner one night in the hotel, and a wonderful breakfast each morning. The service was fantastic, the food was very good, and you cannot beat the location. We walked everywhere. 5 stars all around.

4 floors of beautifully decorated rooms around a central courtyard of plants. Just a 3 or 4 minute walk from the central square. The bedrooms are furnished in colonial style and there are plenty of sitting areas. The restaurant is excellent and the staff helpful and Friendly. There is a roof terrace.

This hotel is cozy and very comfortable. The restaurant has a nice variety of foods and Ecudorian dishes - a bit pricey - but worth it. The staff are very helpful and nice. Centrally located with easy access to walking old town.

This hotel is in a perfect central location to explore Quito. Basically one block from the main plaza and on a street that makes for an easy walk from end to end to see plenty of the main sites. The staff is very friendly and helpful. One doorman not only hailed a taxi for us, but negotiated a flat rate with the driver to take us up the hill to El Panecilla, which provided great views of Quito. Great breakfast and a great bar, where we had the best Pisco Sour on our South America trip to both... Read more

My boyfriend and I spent two evenings at Hotel Patio Andaluz on our way to a week in the Galapagos and we were overall very happy with the experience. The staff was extremely accommodating and very well trained. The location of the hotel is great and just a short walk to the historic center and plenty of restaurants. The grounds of the hotel were lovely and you can tell that they put a lot of effort into making this hotel a 5 star experience. The only reason I am giving it four stars is because ... Read more

This is an old mansion that was renovated into a hotel. I was really pleased at how beautiful and unique it is. the neighborhood is center of old town with lots of available sightseeing within a very short walk. I wad surprised to find out how much there is to see and do in Quito and this is a perfect location for much of it.

Patio Andaluz is a nice historic hotel in a great location. The rooms are spacious (ours had a downstairs with a king bed and upstairs with a queen, so was great for my family of four and gave our teenage girls the privacy they like). The restaurant was in a sunny setting in the center courtyard of the hotel and had an expansive menu. The service was extremely friendly and accommodating. The front desk helped us arrange a taxi to drive us to outlying sites for the day and the price was very ... Read more

After previously staying in Banos, this hotel was a sight for sore eyes! The hotel and room was modern, clean and nice. The staff was extremely friendly and was able to answer all questions. The location is in the heart of Old Town and walking distance from La Ronda, Plaza Grande, the numerous cathedrals and the Historic Centre. We felt safe and secure at the hotel and within Old Town. If we make it back to Quito we will be staying here again.

I stayed here with my daughter for a week. The staff was extremely helpful. You can eat a buffet style breakfast at the hotel but we opted to eat at the different cafes in Independence Square every day which was less expensive.

This hotel has great character and history. Rooms are very nice. The staff is extremely helpful. We had great day trips planned. The staff helped confirm the times and our drivers were always punctual. Laundry very expensive to do at hotel. However, we found a great laundromat close by. Definitely recommend this hotel

I stayed here for four days during a stay in Quito wanting somewhere to stay in the Old City so convenient for all the sights there. The hotel was definitely at the upper end of luxurious. My room was facing the street but with excellent windows there was no sound at all and I was able to sleep well. The room on the 2nd floor was very spacious with a split level - a sofa and work table downstairs with the bedroom and bathroom on the upper level - really great! The bed was very comfortable and... The staff was lovely. The hotel is beautiful. The rooms were very clean. It's located in the center of shopping and the square. There was no WIFI in our room and that was frustrating as we had someone going into surgery and had a hard time staying in contact without leaving the room BUT it worked in other peoples rooms.

I have no complaints about my stay at the Hotel Patio Andaluz. The hotel itself is breath-taking. It is an old hacienda that has been well maintained and as authentic as possible, given it's transformation. The room was very spacious and clean. I was traveling alone, so wanted a hotel that had a restaurant and was centrally located. The location cannot be beat--I was able to easily walk outside of my hotel and immerse myself in Old Town Quito. The staff was very helpful with procuring taxis for ... Read more

This boutique hotel was lovely, and walking distance to sites in the city centre. We stayed for a total of 5 nights, in 2 different rooms. Rooms are spacious, free WiFi is pretty good, service is excellent. There are a lot of nooks and crannies in the old historic building to sit and read, or have a beer or tea and talk. The dining room was great, with good Ecuadorian food, service and live music.

The hotel is very well situated, just a few minutes from the centre of town but boy, is it noisy. We had been travelling for a very long time, checked in and wanted some sleep, all went ok for a few hours and then, a whole band started playing in the foyer. The thing is, the hotel is built around a large open foyer and so, has no noise reduction. Even if someone is just walking around, you can hear it. So even if there is not a band playing, you will always wake up whenever anyone is around. The... Read more

During our nearly four week tour of Ecuador, Hotel Patio Andaluz was much like our "home away from home" - we stayed on five separate occasions, in four different rooms. Each room was clean and comfortable and the staff was always welcoming, friendly and helpful. One of the premium services that was offered, free of charge, was a baggage hold - we were permitted to check unneeded luggage in their bodega, while we were visiting other parts of the country. A perfect location in the colonial center of Quito, in an historical building faithfully restored and renewed. Maybe a little less attention to philological reproduction of decoration could help to lighten the overall impression
