We had a great time at Hotel Boutique Plaza Sucre. Everywhere in Old City was extremely walkable and convenient. Staff went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. Our room was clean with a comfortable bed. Only complaint would be the bathrooms. It took the showers forever to heat up and our original room had terrible water pressure with one stream of water that came out like a jet and was painful. We were only there for two nights and decided not to ask to be moved. We came back to Q... Read more

My family and I had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Boutique Plaza Sucre. It gives you the feeling that you are in your own home with your own living room. Thanks to the very efficient front desk staff: Alejandro and Pablo, they made sure that every aspect of our stay in Quito was taken cared of; even our taxi back to the airport was already booked and confirmed 2 days in advance. They showed us all the different choices of going sight seeing. They booked taxis for our tours because we wanted to ... Read more

This quaint hotel was used by our tour company (Explore), so we used it as our base for some extra nights, and over a period of 3 weeks stayed here three times! The hotel is great value, and very well located, with a short walk to La Ronda for the bars and restaurants, or to Independence Plaza with the many historic churches and cathedral. Rooms are a fair size, breakfast was included and good. The only downside is there a lot of pickpockets and undesirables in the area, so take great care whe... Read more

This hotel is a little gem! Situated in the heart of the old town it is only a couple of blocks from La Ronda, Plaza of Santa Domingo and the Grande Plaza. The rooms were adequate and clean. Breakfast was a good spread. Staff were fantastic. They were able to sort out day trips and airport transportation at exceptional rates. We did a trip to Pululahua Volcano, Mitad del Mundo and the teleferiqo in a day for $45 each! The only downside to this lovely place was that hot water in the shower was a... Read more

We loved the place - the rooms were big, the bed comfortable, the staff very friendly and the breakfast excellent, on the top floor with a view of the whole city including the Angel. The location was superb!!! close to everything!!! A bit more hot water and light in the room would have really been nice, but it did not affect our stay too much.

Stayed here with my wife for 4 nights. The hotel is located on a quiet street a couple of blocks from the Plaza Grande. Our room was large, the beds were comfortable, it was spotlessly clean and there was plenty of hot water. All the employees with whom we interacted were friendly, helpful & knowledgeable. A very nice, buffet breakfast with fresh fruits & juices, cheeses, eggs, coffee, is provided in their 4th floor, covered patio. There are 2 reasons I didn't award 5-stars. The only ventilation... This was a very nice hotel. Centrally located in the old town. A couple blocks from most museums. The rooms were nice and quiet even though we had a balcony over the street. The front desk was very helpful and even was nice enough to let us stay in the sitting room for the afternoon waiting for our flight since it was pouring outside. I would definitely stay there again. Beware that there is nothing open to eat on Sunday after 6 pm. Plan according.

We stayed for 3 nights and had a great time. Located in the historic centre of Quito within easy reach of the old town attractions. Very easy to visit La Ronda at night and walk safely home. Tea and coffee available 24 hours

Our experience was tainted by a dishonest front desk attendant (the one that works mondays during the day - facial hair) who ripped us off by lying that a taxi trip to the bus station was much more expensive than it actually was, then when the taxi arrived he asked the taxi driver to come inside where I couldn't hear them talking, at which point he extorted money out of the driver for having inflated the cost of the ride (as the driver later explained to us). The taxi driver was upset and embarr... Read more

It is close to the centre of Quito so in walking distance of lots of attractions, it has a great view from the breakfast room but the downsides to this hotel are that most of the rooms are inward facing - and we found our room hot and stuffy. A few are outward facing but these ones can be noisy as there are traffic police at every junction who are constantly blowing their whistles. We were given both types of room (2 rooms for a family of 4). If we were to go back I'd ask for an outward room wi... Read more

We arrived late in the evening on a flight from Columbia. The hotel location is good except it seemed to be right on a bus route. We were given a room facing the street. I am not sure why since the hotel did not seem to be too filled up. We did not get 1 minute sleep. Very loud buses came through more often than every 5 minutes. This should have warned us about this when we were checking in. This left a bad taste in our mouth and thank goodness we were only staying 1 night in that room. O... Read more

This hotel has so much charm! Great breakfast, great wifi, friendly staff. EXCELLENT location! We also went with the hotel airport pick-up service (Fabrizio). Very personalized service and tips all the way to the hotel; so much that we asked him to take us around after we checked in. Normally, we opt to do things on our own, but we were so glad we went against our norm and got to see things through his eyes. GREAT experience overall!

we stayed here a few times during our travels in Aug and Sept 2016. The staff is helpful, an the breakfast is pretty good. They were kind enough to watch our bags while we went to Galapagos for a week. NOTE: There is a small restaurant and ice cream place about 2 blocks way called "Caribe"- it is on a corner location. It has a huge lunch with soup, meat, rice and drink for $3.50 or dinner plate for $7.50. Both were good inexpensive and tasty. We enjoy this hotel every time we come to Quito.

I was part of a small group of 3 traveling in South America and picked this hotel because of the ratings and location on 8-1-16. We ended up not staying there. The reservations are handled through Agoda, a Singapore company. I did not like that reservations had to be pre-paid but felt that it was not likely that our plans would change. Wrong. One the caveats on the reservation was that if you did not show your reservation would be canceled. So when our plans changed, moving our arrival on ... Read more

great hotel, no issues; i liked the character of the hotel and it was close to many key places in Quito which we wanted to explore . Otherwise no complaints, quiet area, felt safe. Street is hard to find but otherwise good.

When we arrived at 11:00 at night I was really sick and resigned myself to the fact I would probably be in bed for a few days. The room we rented was adequate, but my husband scoured the place and found suites on the third floor. After some negotiations we opted for a 2 bedroom suite with balcony and kitchen. It was perfect - I got better - and we had a wonderful time. Hired Fabrizio for 2 "day" trips and he was a great and personable guide. His English wasn't bad so we communicated just fi... Read more

We are a family of four who recently stayed at Hotel Plaza Sucre during a trip through Ecuador and the Galapagos. The location of the hotel is fantastic - very walkable to all the sights of Old Town, and yet the rooms are quiet. The staff (especially Mario) are also very friendly and helpful - and very good at providing tips and arranging transport. Breakfast on the rooftop restaurant was also nice. The main disappointment was our actual room. We had an "apartment" that was two bedrooms and ... Read more
