Hotel located in downtown Guayaquil. Free breakfast with good choice of hot and cold options. We had free WIFI with good reception. They have a free shuttle to and from the airport every 45 minutes. You have to reserve. Business center where you can print your boarding pass and small Gym. Large room and very quiet. Small fridge and safety box in the room. Good service at the reception. Good quality-price ratio.

One of the reasons I booked this hotel is it stated "Airport Transportation". Usually that means you get to the airport and then look for their van when you get outside. There was an issue with our luggage and by the time we went outside, most passengers have left. We saw airport shuttles but not the Hampton Inn shuttle. We asked someone and was told the Hampton Inn shuttle was there but must have left. We were told it most likely won't be back. We were tired and had dinner plans so we just ... Read more

This Hampton Inn in downtown Guayaquil it contaminated with mildew. Odor is EVERYWHERE, don't know if its the AC system or what. But unless you like the smell of mildew and like it to contaminate all of your clothing, I would definitely recommend anywhere else. On a good note, the service by the hotel employees was good.

The staff her are some of the friendliest people you will meet. Always interested in making you feel welcome especially Andrea at reception. area is good walking distance to many locations and food places. Generally safe stay on the main areas no worries, Shuttle guys are great call them and they are right t the airport just great ll round service.

A very sad run-down hotel in a vibrant city. The interior of the rooms was old dilapidated, shabby, decrepit, worse for wear and clearly in need of an urgent update. The room overlooked a courtyard that could only be described as a rubbish dump. The minibar was empty. The TV only provided seven channels even though the hotel guide suggested there would be over fifty. The hotel restaurant shuts at weekends so there was no food for guests unless they were able to make their own provision. Breakfa... Read more

The bedroom was a sauna - the a/c pitiful. The king-size bed boasted three tiny pillows, one decorated with a dark, curly hair. There was no restaurant or bar on-site for the weekend (breakfast excepted). Reception staff were variable - one helpful, one smug and smarmy. Hilton should be ashamed.

The reception staff were always very helpful especially when we needed to contact a travel agent on a Sunday. All spoke perfectly adequate English and some very good English indeed. The room was quite spacious with a table and chairs which we made use of one lunch time. There was adequate wardrobe and drawer space and also tea and coffee making facilities. The hotel's main drawback is that there is no restaurant except at breakfast. You can buy a small selection of soft drinks and sandwiches... Read more

Third time staying at this hotel. It's starting to show its age a bit (carpet in rooms worn down in several areas) but the value you get makes up for this. Located downtown on one of the main streets but still within walking distance to the Ministry building and the "Malecon" (waterfront). Several restaurants nearby along with a Wendy's and KFC if you or the kids miss those. Easy to get to as their shuttle will pick you up and drop you off at airport 24/7 (beware other hotels stop that service a... Read more

This Hampton Inn is a great value in the city of Guayaquil. It is the old Hilton. Therefor you have Hilton size of rooms and the breakfast is a buffet. Not your typical Hampton breakfast. Plus I like the location downtown. And shuttle service to and from the airport.

This hotel is very comfortable and located very well for those awaiting transport for the next phase of a trip like the galapagos. The staff are excellent and they also offer a free shuttle to and from the airport. It is easily within walking distance of the Iguana square and the Simon bolivar boardwalk.

This hotel is centrally located and a short walk to the waterfront, the Iguana Park and the Catholic Cathedral. Beds are extremely comfortable especially after a week onboard a boat sailing the Galapagos. Service and staff are efficient. The only restaurant is now only found behind the foyer (a change from my last visit 2 years ago when they had two). Meals are satisfactory, but there are TV's everywhere in the restaurant (a sports bar set-up), good if you want to watch sport and have a drink an... Read more

Perfect for a walking visit to most of the tourist attractions in Guayaquil. Great service and good breakfast (included). The hotel has a free transfer service to the airport and that ride won't take more that half an hour. Very recommended.

In fairness, the rating is probably closer to 4.5 stars but giving this place just 4 stars seems like a discredit to the service. We did use the hotel as an intermediate stop coming from the USA and going to the Galapagos and then back from the Galapagos going down to Cusco, Peru. So we stayed 3 nights in a 2 night, gone a week, back 1 night, schedule. So we also got to try two different rooms (one on the eighth floor, one on the fifth floor). As numerous people have already said, the locati... Read more

We spent 2 nights before and one after a trip out to the Galapagos. Nothing but good to say about this hotel. The food (breakfast) was excellent, but by far and away the customer service was the high spot. Everyone from the desk, breakfast staff...everybody was very friendly to this non-Spanish speaking couple. Very helpful. We felt secure in this hotel. Thanks, we would stay here again if we ever pass through Ecuador.

We stayed in Guayaquil for 2 days at the Hampton Inn. While the hotel is older it is clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast staff even scrambled eggs special for my daughter when they were not on the buffet. My only complaint would be our air conditioing did not work as well as our friends' next door.

We found the rooms very comfortable. The staff is so helpful. Our flight out was late at night and they allowed us a late check out. The hotel offers a van to the airport every 45 min. It's 4 blocks to the Park of the Iguanas and two blocks to the boardwalk. Oh and full hot breakfast.

The room wasn't spacious, but it was clean and cool, which after traveling all day we welcomed. The people were amazing. They have a breakfast buffet. I almost always mention food, don't I? And they have a nice little restaurant, but I didn't eat there. We only stayed the night before moving on to Manta, but the people always smiled and greeted us, and their smiles included their eyes. We sat in their lobby for a long time awaiting a travel bus, and they still smiled at us. I'm not sure I would ... Read more

Just surviving earthquake, we had an earthquake lasting app. 30 second, it was shaking a lot at 11th floor. Finally, we got down. It is a lot of dust and people running around in the street. I see some windows broken at the building in front of our hotel. We were save and hotel withstand the earth quake without damage. The staff is very friendly they have nice breakfast and the rooms are very clean.
