Located at the center of the Riu complex, Riu Merengue started our stay in Puerto Plata and is still one of our most popular resorts largely due to its ideal location, fabulous facilities, and small bungalows. Strategically scattered across our lush property, the bungalows are hidden from view by an array of tropical plants, trees and flowers. In fact, the only thing that seems to stand out is our signature clock tower, which rises high above for all to see.

Client can also enjoy dining options at La Roca, the main restaurant buffet style with show cooking, serving international and local specialties. Maracuya and Macumba restaurants both offering Lunch and snacks, or dine at Macumba for dinner, half steak house and half Italian with a la carte services.(reservations required).
