My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary from March 16, 2015 to March 18th, 2015. The hotel is nothing fancy very very basic but clean. No room service. They had rooftop breakfast. Used bottled water to brush my teeth because the bathroom had signs about the water not being safe to drink. Front desk personnel friendly. You need to bring your tv remote back to the front desk when you check out. It was within walking distance of everything. Bed was not the most comfortable but nice enou... Read more

I stayed at this hotel from 11-13 March 2016. The location is nice, in the centre of the Zona Colonial. However, the hotel receptionist refused to accept my Expedia hotel reservation, telling me that the room had not been paid for. They requested me to pay once again using my credit card. Later on, they discovered that the room had actually been paid for upfront by Expedia but they were unable to cancel my second payment. I had to contact the hotel manager and send him a copy of my passport and c... Read more

first we were very scared due to the streets around. later on we realized this is how the centre of santo domingo looks like an felt better. room was nothing exceptional, could be compared to 2-3 star hotel in europe. Clean room, average breakdast with no special choice but sufficient. not a hotel for honeymoon but for only sleepover it is ok.

Hotel Europa is located in the heart of Zona colonial, walking distance from most of the historical attractions. Also there are many bars and restaurants close by. The staff are very nice (like the majority of the dominicans). The rooms are not fancy, but it was good enough for me to sleep.

I've had very little sleep for the past 4 nights. The front desk guy said 'I'll give you a nice quiet room'. Unfortunately, there was horrible noise in my room, 203, late at night, many early morning, from the scraping of furniture on the tiled floors from the Breakfasr/Conference Room. I chatted to another guest who informed me that they were the previous occupant of room 203, and had to be moved to another room due to the same problem i.e. The staff are aware of the problem. I got moved. Now, i... Read more

Very good hotel in the colonial city. Rooms and common areas were very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. This was our first staff in the City of Santo Domingo and we very much enjoyed it. We felt safe and prices were very reasonable. I would stay here again.

We've been at the hotel for 3 nights. The employers are really kind. They help us and give us some good tips to have a wonderful time in Dominican Republic. The hotel is located in the colonial zone of Santo Domingo. The hotel organized us the transfer from the airport to the hotel. The rooms are ok, and clean. The breakfast is included in the price. It's served on the rooftop, and products are so good. Finally, the cost is correct ($65/night for 2).

We stayed here by choice because it was absolutely around the corner from every where. The best restaurants, watering holes and attractions.Good clean rooms, a bit run down. Restaurant dishes out only brekker in the morning and opens as watering hole at night. Nothing great. The best food joints we found just around the corner and a minutes walk over looking the big plaza.

Where do I start? First off, be aware that many of the rooms in this old building have no windows, and that the hotel has done nothing to offset this with lighting or decorations. You will get a dark and depressing room unless you have a window. When I first checked in, they put me in just such a room on the first floor which was also sandwhiched between two work rooms and the AC didn't work. I don't normally make a fuss but I refused to stay there. Honestly, I don't think that they should ever ... Read more

This is a hotel where location, location and location fits the bill. Make sure to ask for a room with a window/balcony...all staff members are very helpful. We were down the block from historical Santo Domingo (we did a walking tour for a hour and only $20), the Reserve Bank was a few blocks away and we exchanged currency there, they had a nice continental breakfast on roof top, secured hotel, walking distance from everything and Uber accessible. We were able to take advantage of the capital an... Read more

We stayed one night in this hotel. The rooms we're very basic but clean, same goes for the bathroom. The rooftop area with a bar and view over the historic centre is a plus and made up for having a room without a window.

The hotel was centrally located as listed on their website. Check-in was no hassle at all and, for the most part, we were the only ones in the hotel. The surrounding area is a mixed-use area. There were apartments in the area as well as stores and street vendors. We were also close to a number of main streets. Calle Conde and the overall major marketplace attractions are close by. The room was small, but also to be expected. It is an historic hotel full of old world charm and modern day inconven... Read more

I have no words to describe this horrible experience! I visit D.R. over 15 times per year so I know what is a Good hotel And Good service! This hotel is under construction they are trying to do some fixing in the rooms, one by one!!! This is not remodeling Or refurbishing! The hammering, the electric saw machines the noise, the dirt And dust are unbearable! The tiles of the hallways (floor) are loose so when you walk you can feel them and sometimes you just trip over them ! The tiles on the bat... Read more

For price, location and comfort this was one of the best hotels I have stayed in and I have travelled to over 30 countries. Miguel (manger) could not do enough for me. He went out of his way to make sure I was happy with my room and I was comfortable at all times. Miguel has an A1 hotel staff. Thomas, Miguel and Edu (front desk), Elvin, (bartender), another gentlemen who I cannot remember his name and Marisol (Cleaner) are also very good at what they do and are very personable and friendly.
