The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. They spoke English and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We had dinner in the restaurant and service and food were both good.

Important thing is the hotel is not located in the Zona Colonial and it has a very small pool (where there is almost no sun). Its a city hotel not on the Malecon and not to close to Zona Colonial (although a Taxi or bus will take you there quickly). Lot of positive things. It has secured parking and is fairly close to the business district and the malls of Santo Domingo. The lobby is nice and there are several places to chill and sit. Its very clean. The rooms with a lower number (101,203,304 ... Read more

As the title describes it: the hotel is expensive and one should expect a good standard for being part of the big courtyard chain. But this hotel has just not been renovated for a long time. Moreover, the first room we got stank so much so that we could not even entered (did someone smoke inside?). In addition, breakfast is very small and expensive.

This was our first trip to Dominican Republic. We had so many questions about this beautiful country and its culture. Reynaldo Gil took the time to answer our questions even looking up some information for us with the help of a colleague. We felt so very welcome. When we returned to The Courtyard at the end of our travels Reynaldo remembered us even calling us by name. We will return.

First off, the staff is great. Very friendly and willing to help out any way possible. Beautiful lobby and dining area. The food was great as well as the service. The rooms are fairly spacious but to me the feel a bit dated. They are clean as a whistle but the furniture and bathroom just don't have a modern feel to them. Will I ever come back, probably. I slept great.

This place is awesome. The rooms are clean, spacious and the staff are amazing. Ana Virginia helped me with a small group of people i was going to meet with, Elizabeth in the front desk very efficient and speaks good english and the guys at the front desk. The only negative thing was the pool that's very small it looks like it's abandoned but otherwise everything was perfect.

The Courtyard inSanto Domingo is a great and convenient stay for business in the capital of Dominican Republic. All the usual amenities are available but the friendliness of the staff makes the difference. I would definitely recommend this place!

The politeness and efficiency of the staff are praiseworthy, The size of the room is much bigger, compared to other hotels of this standard. The room is very clean. There is one downside though: there is no central air conditioning system, each room is equipped with its own air conditioner which is turned on by a thermostat. As a result there is no quit, there are cycles of noise (when the air condition is on) and quiet (when the air condition is off).
