"Ok , so I am not sure where to begin specially after reading some of the other reviews am like , wait where we at the same hotel ??
I have stayed at this resort 2 before my recent stay & I Didn't have any issues then & for the most part didn't have issues now.
I Stayed here with friends from 11/21-25/12. We choose the hotel because of the price & its closeness to the airport, also my past experiences.
We arrived Wednesday & I must say the main thing I do agree with the other reviews is the wait time , they are pretty slow with checking in & checking out , I don't get this ? This is quite a pain specially when it comes to checking in since all u want to do is settle in & start drinking.
After checking in we headed to our room , decent room nice size , clean , small balcony. the refrigerator looked like it needed to be replaced not a huge deal on my part or friends since we didn't really use it.
The one thing wrong with the room was the shower head it was not working since the knob was broken , we reported this the same night we arrived again 2 days later & nothing ..they never fixed the thing this was quite a pain since we had to shower using the bottom.
It would appear that late at night the water goes off but this seems to vary one night at around 145 am it wasn't working ...another night at around 330 am it was fine ? I guess not a huge deal specially if u are not awake to use it.
The night it was not working of course it was an inconvenience since we all wanted to shower before bed but couldn't.
One night We had reservation for the gourmet restaurant at 7 pm, that day we had an excursion which ran late & by the time we got to the hotel it was 645 we stopped by to let them know we would be late, first guy was like ok we told him we would try to be back by 745 but probably would not be till 8 pm , we got back by 8 & the next person a girl was trying to give us a hard time by saying they were full but still sat us down , meanwhile we sat ate & an hour & half later there were still empty tables around us.
The food overall was pretty good , enough choices for breakfast , lunch & dinner always something open so u are covered with food anytime of the day.
The service at the buffet just like at the bars , pretty slow ..u should not have to repeat yourself so many times if u need a fork, a drink or salt for the table.
There was a lot of maintaining during my stay which is nice to see since u can see that they do try to maintain the place.
Best thing about this hotel by far is the beach , nice powder sand & super clear water it is just lovely during the day & at night u have some amazing sunsets.
Overall my friends & I enjoyed our stay I don't know if all the bad reviews are due to true bad experiences ? or is it just that people are too dam impatient & overly picky.
Would I return to the hotel , sure why not ? good value & super convenient with the airport , do I believe they need a better, faster & maybe more at tentative staff absolutely.

"This hotel is for the LOCALS!!!!! I have not seen a group of people who are only concerned with the nationality of the clientele. My husband and I stayed at this resort for 7days and was often asked about our nationality. My husband was often swarmed by hotel staff to purchase women and other recreational illegal content, because he speaks fluent Spanish. There were a minimum of 3 electrical outages a day, NO HOT WATER, the pressure of the water almost non existent and the air conditioner was working inconsistently. I often called the front desk and no one answered. When you call Guest Services their English was minimum, but if you speak Spanish they would fix the problem.

The Greatest Asset to this property is the ATV area. The guys were courteous and did not beg. My husband loves ATVing and paid extra $ so we could go out without a group.

Do not go HORSEBACK RIDING unless you want to be attacked by Mosquitos. They did not take us anywhere that was solicited on their brochure. Crazy Horse is CRAZY!!!! Do not use the Taxi service to go on any tours!!!!!! They advertise a Santo Domingo tour at $70, but they do not mention that it's only for the ride. We ended up sending $150.00 for a tour we thought was $70.00.

I would not recommend this hotel and neither should BOOKIT!!!!!"

"HORRENDOUS! Will never be at this place ever again, let alone travel to this part of DR again. Absolutely no manners. Also, first flight in my life I've ever NOT been checked on ONCE the entire flight. Never once did they check to see if your seat was up, seatbelt was buckled, or electronic devices were off. TERRIBLE flight attendants. People were in the bathroom, out of their seats DURING take off and landing.

On to the Be Live Hamaca 'Resort'. Like other reviews, the ONLY....let me repeat that...the one and ONLY positive at this resort is the beach. It's beautiful. Crystal clear water and sandy beaches.

Food is terrible. Had the worst food poisoning of my life one night here . Threw up everything in my stomach. They look at you like you're from outer space and are expecting a space ship to come pick u up. Food is also constantly recycled over and over. For example, if the beef from last night's tortillas wasn't used up it was used the next morning for breakfast as 'beef stew'.

Let me try and find another positive.....ok.....the AC works! WOW!

You can't drink the water and the entire time here we got 2 bottles. I repeat...2 bottles of water. O yea. We were here for 5 days. We just kept the bottles and refilled them at the buffets. Towel service is horrendous. Custom service is non existent.

Also, if you're a female planning on going here to relax. FORGET ABOUT IT! There are creeps everywhere hitting on you!

I've been to resorts in Mexico before. Paid less. and had an AMAZING and fun experience. I will NEVER come back to this part of DR and it will be a long time before I even think about coming back to the country.

STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
