We arrived at 5:00 am and took a taxi to the hotel. We were tired and frustrated, and when we were shown to our garden room there was already someone occupying it! As it turns out, they had overbooked the garden side! We were given a complimentary upgrade to a beachside property. The rooms could have been kept better, but we only used them to shower and sleep so that was not an important factor to us. The staff was very friendly, although towards the end of the trip the males had started to get ... Read more

This hotel is in a great location with an awesome beach that is clear and shallow enough for kids (no crazy, knock-you-down waves). There are several excellent restaurants & bars within walking distance in case you get tired of the cheap drinks and mediocre food that you'll find in most all-inclusive. This was my second time staying at this resort. The first time we came 4 years ago i was wowed. This time they were undergoing some much needed renovations and we had some issues with our rooms. The room we were assigned had food in refrigerator and dirty dishes on balcony. No elevator to 3rd floor room. We moved to a room with elevator, but the elevator only worked one day. The bed was like sleeping on a board. Housekeeping came at 5pm everyday. The food was largely inedible. The buffet was pretty bad. The meat on the buffet was "mystery" meat. The hotel played music at the pool so loud our last day, that we were forced out of our room 8 hrs. We complained to no avail. Save your... Read more

The staff were beyond friendly and helpful. But the room sucked. The construction of the shower wasnt squared off. The shower heads and knobs had build up on them. No fitted sheets, so the sheet used to cover the mattress kept coming off. Outdated furniture.

The only thing worth the trip was the event I went to at the hotel and the pool/beach area. Rooms are average and mine had a leaking ceiling with a huge puddle half my stay. All in a room that was falsely advertised online which after waiting almost 2 hours I went to my room to find a room that was half the size you guys promoted online which is why I paid for a supreme deluxe to get a room smaller then some of the standard rooms..... Overall the hotel was a horrible experience.

The staff was unfriendly. The room was disgusting and we found a syringe at the pool. We had requested an early check in but were left waiting in the lobby for an hour, even though the hotel was far from full. Our room was full of mold and smelled horrible. The bedspread was stained. The door looked like it had been broken into. There was rust on the bottom of the shower. Please stay some where else and know this place is not what Dominican Republic is known for! To begin with. ..the reception desk had one person serving an army! Long line and 45 minutes to check-in. Wifi service horrible- you have to go to reception area to get a strong signal and even then it did not work all the time. The pool is falling apart- Holes on the floor of the pool .. This is just a big scam - the pictures are not even close to the truth, the beach is dirty and crowded. Kids were puking around the restaurant when we arrived, the tennis courts are not even playable. Every single thing was just awful. The room smelled like if had mildew all over and it was not clean. We had to book another hotel close by and ended up staying at Neptunos Refugio's for $75 with a beautiful apartment looking over the sea - 10 times better. Don't waste your time and money.

Good location with a great beach - very calm water, hard to beat. I enjoy the food, variety, quality and tasty. Daily games, night life etc. The free Wifi was horrible. If you wanted good quality Wifi you had to pay for if - in 2016 who pays for Wifi? Overall good value for money.
