This hotel is a gem. I was looking for place to relax for a long weekend and I couldn't have been happier! The resort was gorgeous and the views from all over the property were amazing. It was worth the upgrade to a superior room for the pool and ocean view. From the moment I checked in the service was incredible ‚?? Victor (front desk) was so helpful with information and making sure I was connected to wifi, Alfredo was a great concierge, and Ramon was one of the butlers onsite who always made s... Read more

My husband and I have been to several of the Bahia Resorts in the DR but I must admit that this one has to be our favorite. Quiet, calm, soothing. The staff is the friendliest I have ever encountered. The room (room 317) was always clean and very pretty. The views from anywhere on the resort is pure heaven and the food was fabulous. Our butler Ramon Perez was also a dream, he helped my husband plan a romantic day for our wedding anniversary and was always very attentive to our needs during ... Read more

An amazing three week stay (May 9th to Mary 30th, 2016). The hotel is amazing. There are so many people who made our vacation great. We can't thank them all by name, because, we are sure to forget someone. That would not be fair. Our last visit was in 2007. I wish we had not waited so long to return. We will be back again. Hopefully, next time it will be four weeks instead of only three. We truly hope the same staff members are there when we return. They were all so friendly, professional, and, a... Read more

Just came back from a wonderful week at Bahia. There is not much I can add that has not been said before, I could not find fault with this hotel, if I tried. From food to wonderful drinks to the most beautiful views from our room ( 4107) But what really sets this hotel apart from the many we have been to, is the people working there. I do not want to single anyone out, as it would not be fair to the rest, I felt they all went out of their way to make us feel wanted there and make our stay ... Read more

Just a heads up we travel several times a year and like different atmospheres. Don't always try 5 star due to frequency of travel and cost. When reading reviews and cost of this resort in June we gave it a shot. Must say this is on top of our list of favorites. Be warned if you like long walking beach you may be disappointed but resort does shuttle you free of charge to Cayo Levatando public beach and it is quite awesome. My new husband and I just returned from our honeymoon at this resort, and it was amazing. We could not have asked for a better getaway! I see there have been some reviews here with complaints about the transport between the airport in Santo Domingo and the resort, but we had no issues. We booked several months in advance of our trip through Bahia Principe and the transport to and from the airport was included - no additional charge. Although it was a little strange that only one or two resta... Read more

From the moment we stepped out of the taxi, we knew this was going to be a wonderful time. We were greeted my Ramon, the butler with cold drinks which at that point were highly needed. From there we were taken to our room. The staff refused to let us move our own bags which I would never argue with. The room was clean and well put together. From there on out we did a whole bunch of lounging. Almost everyday we would wake up and hit the breakfast buffet which had a lot of choices especially for a... Read more

We arrived after a very long journey to be checked in swiftly on the mainland. On arrival at the island it was very refreshing to have a cold towel and cocktail. We were told we could go for our evening meal from there and our bags would be delivered to our room. We were happy to do this and then were helped to our room (which we were very disappointed with as to our surprise there were two double beds - dubbed the argument room straight away) and waited and waited - our luggage was left on... This is a lovely, small resort with traditional colonial style, recently remodeled and elegant. With its location on a hillside, there are lots of stairs. There are ocean views from the rooms, the pool area, and restaurants and seating areas all over the grounds. Our room was large with a private balcony. The bathroom was nicely laid out and included a whirlpool tub. The resort is spotlessly clean. Our room was thoroughly cleaned daily with fresh towels provided a second time in the evening with... The hotel is beautiful, staff is attentive, friendly, helpful, going over and above to make each person's stay as perfect as possible. Rooms are spacious, with a patio overlooking the ocean. The bathroom is roomy, and you can't beat the rain shower! The food and drink selection is excellent. Amenities are great- my favorite being the spa and massage services (best massage I've ever had, anywhere in the world!)

I've stayed 7d at the luxury bahia principe Samana Don pablo Collection and it was awesome. I have been many times in DR and this hotel was the best experience i had so far. The hotel is in an impeccable condition. Everything is clean and quiet. It is really resourceful. The staff was very helpful. When we arrived the front desk answered all our questions. They verified with us if the room was at our taste and it really didn't take long. We could arrange all the reservations with the restaurant... Read more

What can I say. You can never go wrong with Bahia Principe!!!!. Absolutely beautiful place. If you are looking for an upscale resort just to rest and unwind with terrific food, friendly staff, extremely clean/well maintained surroundings, this is the perfect place. Resort is a 5 star but I would say closer to 10 star. They arranged private transportation from and to the airport. Basically the hotel covered all our bases. Looking forward to returning.
