We returned to the Royal Suites Turquesa after having stayed there the year before and we had another great time! Pros, first, we arrived earlier than standard check-in and were immediately accommodated. We were given the requested building when making our original reservation and were able to access it well before the 3pm check-in. Second, the staff at Royal Suites are excellent and always willing to help. We didn't have any issues, however, when we requested a taxi to explore off propert... Read more

Stayed in the 5200 block. Great location near the pool and beach. Not as close to restaurants, but OK for a short walk or golf cart ride. Food was below average. Wide variety plus free room service, yet nothing was great. Sumptouri was the best. Bohio is best for lunch. Most of the staff at the restaurants were not friendly. There was a wide variety of alcohol and bar staff was the best. Do not leave valuables out. We had a few things taken. Beach was the highlight, gorgeous turquoise waters w... Read more

This was my wife's first trip to the Dominican Republic and she loved it, my second time here and was better then the first. She got a nice surprise for her birthday from the staff are butler Gerson which was very nice, it really made my wife's day. Both are butlers Gerson and Praxedes were great and they really made the trip that much better. Would highly recommend The Royal Suites Turquesa to anyone.

We are still here at the Royal Suites Turquesa, building 54. Our butler Carlos is very nice and accomodating. The beach is awesome, very clean, and so are the Pools. Definitely get a swim up pool room, specially to cool off in the afternoon after a day out in the sun. Highly recommend the Solomillo de Buey at Sumptuori restaurant. Rooms have a nice size and everything works great, nice AC too. And my favorite is room service, gets promptly to your room and everything is delicious! We'll be back ... Read more

We stayed at the Royal suites turquesa...adults only side. Booked with agent thru funjet. Once we landed it was a little hard finding the funjet rep to get to our resort but we just asked and they pointed us in the right direction. When we got to Turquesa I was surprised the lobby wasn't bigger and more flashy since it was an adults side...but still did the job. The grand palladium lobby was huge and gorgeous... but this is also one of the kids included part of resort. There is 3 resorts in ... Read more

We checked in on the evening of June 1, into the Presidential Suite and Melky was our Butler. It was a beautiful two story hotel room, but they were having trouble with the upstairs air conditioning unit. We wanted to change rooms. Melky resolved the issue and she put us in the honeymoon suite and it was just as pretty. Melky helped us in setting up our reservations and was always aroubd if we needed something. She made us fill at home. The hotel compensated us and credited back the differ... Read more

This is my 2nd visit to Turquesa and although I had a wonderful first visit I must confess this last visit gave me a different perspective. I believe my initial positive experience last year may have influenced my decision to return. Although I continue to receive stellar service from resort employees Melky, Tomas, Eudie, Wilner, Gaudy and tour operator Paul Bargain; I did notice a slight decline in overall service. To be fair, the resort was undergoing a small renovation and the inconsistenc... Read more

King Kong amazing Butler, every-time I requested help he was available and got all that I needed within reasonable time. He recommended and help reserve for 3 restaurants I wanted to include in my visit. The beach area was beautiful and the pool was very relaxing hoping to come back soon. The buffet was delicious especially the churros at breakfast. The bloody Mary's were Delish! Will be back in January 2017!

We had a great time at the Royal Suites. The best was King Kong. He's a butler/dancer. He helped us out a few times. He always had a big smile on his face and always willing to help. He went out of his way to make sure we had fun. All the food was great. They also keep the place very clean. They are expanding the resort so construction is on going but they keep it as quiet as possible so not to interrupt your peace.

I will tell you the truth I read a lot of the reviews before coming here and was a tad bit skeptical, boy was I wrong. This place is wonderful!!! We came here for our first real vacation as a couple. This was an all inclusive resort with beautifully maintained grounds! We stayed at the adults only Turquesa area which we found to be a good choice for peace and quiet. Our upgraded room was large and very clean. The resort appears to be a little older with construction everywhere. The rooms do need updating as there are not enough outlets for electronics and they are only 110v. Some of our other family members stayed in other parts of the resort with their kids and complained about poor A/C in ... Read more

Just came back from a week holiday in this hotel! We really had a relaxing break and a very nice ocean view. When we arrived we had an issue at reception but everything was fixed inmediately. The room we were was amazing, modern, very big and we had included in the room branded vodka, rum and other liquor (don't remember the name). Cleaning was very good. It was probably the worst vacation we have had in several years. The people at the Resort were not friendly at all, and we never saw our Butler twice the whole week and one time they had to call him. We did not know what was going on because he was never there. The food was good, the beach was nice, and the grounds were nice. I would not go again.

Pros: The rooms are beautiful, very clean and very specious. We didn't use the jecuzzi tub although it was large. The hotel is kept up.every day. Everyday everyone that works there is cleaning and they also clean the beach. The drinks were strong and good. The beach is beautiful. The food is ok but you can never expect much from a AI. You step out of your room onto a porch with side walls so you have some privacy. Then from your porch you step directly into your pool! We are positive people and always look for the best but if you wanted to find fault it wouldn't be hard here. I have based my score on the fact that the Royal suites should have been amazing seeing as it's the highest level of the palladium resort here in Punta Cana and for what you pay for it and I was left a little disappointed. We were upgraded to a... Read more

We return to Punta Cana for the 10th time and once again had a sensational time! We are treated like family here and the warmth of the staff is as warm as the sun! Thanks to Danny, Melkie, Arcenio, Carlos and King Kong for taking such good care of us! The food gets better each year and it is clear they all work to continually improve the facilities and amenities. We will be back again next year for sure!

Ynando king kong is the best. He made our trip so pleasant. You have to see him dance. He was so entertaining. The food and drinks are very good. The rooms were clean. The pool is beautiful. The ocean is gorgeous. White sand and very clean. This was the best vacation we've ever taken. The hibachi grill was the best restaurant.

Loved the service since my arrival. The staff was very welcoming especially ynando (King Kong). I highly recommend anyone to stay at the royal and see king Kong dance. It was very entertaining and funny. The resorts are all beautiful and very scenic. The beaches are all gorgeous and the water felt and looked great. I recommend to try all the food while you're here and to bring family and friends.

My husband and I took the time to read through many trip advisor reviews before choosing the Royal suites/DR for our vacation destination. The reviews were mixed with different levels of satisfaction/dissatisfaction. We didn't want to come with too much expectation but hoped the good would outweigh the bad. We are in our late 30's, married for 5 yrs. We do a lot of travel and I always like to read truly honest reviews as I find them helpful. Here is our honest review of our stay and I hope you f... Enjoyed and loved the whole experience. The staff were wonderful especially Ynando aka King Kong. His dance show was a delight and entertaining. The resort was very epic and felt like we were living in paradise during our stay. I was very impressed with the service they provided I give the royal palladium a 5 star rating and recommend everyone to visit and share this wonderful experience and to also invite your family and friends.

The hotel: the hotel was okay, it did smell like a wet dog when the doors opened. It took our friends room about 2 hours to be ready upon arrival. Other visitors were complaining about the same thing. The staff: We met this great driver by the name of Tomàs. If we happen to see Tomàs while out walking he would come and pick us up and take us where ever we needed to go. Wouldn't even allow us to carry our bags! He was great!! Also this lady name Milky, she was so nice and felt like family. I ... Read more

We had so much fun. King, our butler was the best. He made sure that we had everything that we needed and he entertained us as well. His Michael Jackson impersonation was the best. The rooms were clean and all the restaurants were excellent. I love that they had transportation and you could visit their other three resorts. I would recommend this resort to anyone. I plan to come back soon!

Fourth time here and service is at an all time low. Ordered room service two hours ago and nothing ever showed. Dinner service has been super slow an unorganized. Paradisus and Iberostar were much better. More money but service speaks for itself.

The butler Xnando "King Kong" was amazing. He made sure that we had everything that we needed. The food was great and there was several restaurants to chose from plus we had our own private restaurant. All the staff was friendly and accommodating. It is a five star resort and would be great for a wedding, honeymoon, family reunion etc. I plan to come back and would highly recommend this resort.

Our experience at Royal Suites was fantastic, if you consider the location and amenities. However, the food was possibly the worst food I have ever had. There are two exceptions - the Royal Gourmet and the Hibachi restaurant. Avoid all the others. Your stomach will thank me. If I were planning on coming back to the Dominican, I would choose a different location. If food isn't a concern for you, then the Palladium resort is a fine option. The beach, the views and services are top notch.

My husband and I have just returned from a 6-night stay at this resort. Overall we were very pleased (we had a few issues with Vacation Express, who we booked the trip through, that stole some of our happy, but that has nothing to do with the resort itself). We selected this portion of the resort for it's 'adults only' policy, although most of the restaurants were combined with the other sections, so lots of kids there. The room was beautiful and well appointed, the grounds were lovely - lots... Read more

We stayed in a Royal swim up suite and I would highly recommend it if you are able. It was fantastic to take a swim first thing in the morning while waiting for room service! My wife and I stayed here for a week in early July. Resort is about 25 mins from PUJ. Upon arrival, our room was not ready, so we were sent to one of the restaurants for some food. We traveled with another couple, and had requested room possibly next to each other. On arrival, they had us in separate buildings. After again asking for rooms together, they were able to accommodate us in building 56. We reserved a swim out room, and I would definitely recommend. It was very nice to have sm... Read more

First of all- I am in unfamiliar territory as I have never been disappointed in a vacation enough to write a negative review. We requested a swim up suite and did not receive one. The first suite we checked into, the air conditioning was not working.
