After reading the reviews i was getting a bit skeptical, I was pleasantly surprised by the AMAZING service by all of the staff but in particular Richard Frinnidod Mercedes. We had the time of our lives. The service was beyond words, the staff was always smiling and super helpful. Absolutely would recommend this resort again! The water was very pretty the sand bags are a bit of an eye sore (like a previous review stated) however still extremely enjoyable. The pool area & bar areas as well as al... Read more

The resort is not too big can walk from place to place....buffet only so-so on food....got really drab after a few days. The people that work there are great except for at reception desk, very rude and cold. We had no air for 2 days and had to be moved to 2 different rooms. Wonderful family time. The staff at Oceans Blue was fantastic. Willy Wonka, Luise, took great care of us to make sure we had everything we needed and a great time. The following staff is also excellent: Francisco, Moncala ( ocean burger cooker), Rafael, Pedro. Caesar helped us book our excursion and it was the time of our life. I would highly recommend the faculties. The food was fabulous. It was also very clean and all staff was accommodating!

My husband and I love this resort. The landscaping is beautiful. All the rooms are extremely clean and well maintained. Everything you need is here. Multiply restaurants and bars, great food and entertainment, beautiful pools and beach activities, bowling alley, theatre, nightly shows, disco, casino, spa and so much more. The resort offers something for everyone. But what makes this resort special is the staff. Everyone is courteous and helpful. When we first arrived it was so nice to see... Read more

We went to this resort on a family anual trip. More then 40 people. One of my aunt has a membership "privilege". First they lasted more than 1 hr and 30 mins to check in, my sister's room's safe was broken (they promised to fix it but didn't during the whole weekend). When we went looking for drinks they always ask you to show them your band (to see what it covers) and then told us that the drink was not covered. Just got back from a two week stay at the resort. We had a couple of teething problems with the safe not working and no towels. But this was all sorted very quickly. The resort was lovely and clean. We managed to get into all of the restaurants. The food and service was excellent. The beach wasn't as bad as we were expecting and is a work in progress. We did feel that there should be more parasols available. You had to get up early to make sure you got one. Even though the resort wasn't full. ... Read more

Our room was acceptable, even generous tipping of the maids did not get our refrigerator refilled. It took all day some days until after 5:00 for the room to be cleaned. The food was just ok not bad but nothing special. Was extremely disappointed in the French restaurant. The pool was lovely as long as we were up early to save a seat. The beach was just awful. Overall I would not return.

This particular resort is geared toward the Latino guests. They do not have wait staff in the pool or beach area. If you want a drink, you need to get it yourself and pickup after yourself. The staff is not friendly nor engaging. I had to initiate Hola and most often get no response. Wifi rarely worked. Most dining is without ac with very small areas of exception. Thank goodness for Mike's coffee shop. A cozy little spot with indoor ac or outdoor porch seating. Nice cakes and party but ... Read more

Overall the hotel was very nice great food great staff great activities but the representatives at the hotel wanting to sell excursions and arrange airport transfers are misleading and unprofessional with customer issues. The airport transfer I arranged did not pick me and when I went to inquire the representative did not offer help and the did not offer to pay for a taxi.

I'm a H10 member and this was my first visit to the DR resort. Overall the staff and food could of been better in comparison to the other H10. The resort was very clean and well manicured. The best part of the vacation was Marino in the privilege cabana section he LITERALLY made our vacation. He's so fun, hard working and just excellent. Wilfredo, one of the drivers was also awesome!

Booked privilege vacation package and truly the best part of it was the services provided by Marino by the beach. No rooms with ocean views even if you book privilege class. easy to make reservations at restaurants, the food at the main buffet was very good including different night selections. The waiters were excellent.

First time to the Dominican. We were worried about the weather as the extended forecast showed thunderstorms most every day. Not the case. We had a couple of bits of that but mostly at night. The temperatures were excellent and the humidity was not bad. As far as the resort, it's a bit older and in need of some freshening up in places. The service was very friendly but not 5 star, although I believe it's rated a 4 star resort. The food was very good in all the restaurants and the buffet. The hou... Read more

This was the first holiday my wife and I have been to on our own in thirty two years of marriage without children, as ours are off our hands now. (Well nearly lol). This was awesome and well worth waiting for, the complex itself is fantastic, it has two huge pools, one for the youngsters (and I mean older youngsters), whilst the second is more relaxed, both have a pool bar and boy, the measures are not measured if you know what I mean. The bartender from the pool bar, Bienvenido, he was very attending too and such a nice person. Just loved my trip. When we got there we were quickly settled in and every time I was walking around everyone was always greeting me and my wife. Also, the gerente de suguridad was absolutely welcoming. There were a few niggles about it we were disappointed with the beach although it was lovely white sand and clear water, there seemed to be some type of sewage system coming out of the water which wasn't a great site to look at. We stayed for ten days at this hotel and we absolutely loved it. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The food was always fresh and even though there were many hotel guests we never had to queue for a long time. Our room was just right. The bed was comfortable and itd bathroom clean. The beach isn't the most beautiful. Yet in order to sunbath and to swim it is fine. I couldn't decide if I wanted to make the rating a Poor or Average, so I decided to grade on a curve, and I do mean a curve. Let me begin by saying, I chose this resort to renew my vows after 20 years because this was the first all-inclusive resort my husband and I had first visited. The first visit bank in 2005 was wonderful, so I expected this to be as good, if not better. Boy, was I ever surprised. We came to this hotel many times. But this time was a complete disappointment. The beach was not impressive. In the room that we checked in we saw tens of cockroaches and there was nothing the staff could do about it. Our new room was better, but in our very last day we were robbed in the hotel. The maid opened our room to clean it and left for an hour without closing the door! So some of our belongings were stolen from the room. We canâ??t feel safe in the hotel anymore. The hotel is right next to a rainforest tho so don't be worried by any weather apps - it was beautiful the rest of the holiday! The buffet food is really good. Great variety and well cooked. We did not tried the restaurants because they line were long all time. The rooms were not that great, kind of dated and in need of maintenance ASAP. The beds had very old sheets and pillows. The towels in the bathroom and beach towels are also old. They need to do something about the AC because I doesnâ??t work in some rooms. Service at the reception was awful.

The hotel food was decent , rooms were spacious and pool was beautiful...now the bad part: Beach was not pretty in comparison to the other hotel beaches in the area, employees aptitude was a hit or miss...some of them made us fell like we were a pain. They better coordinate the restaurant time....I do not want to eat frozen hamburgers and hot dogs after a field day excursion...also they should learn that closing at 6:00 mean 6 not 5:30 pm.
