"Our room was great and the trip was great. Resort was wonderful except for All the announcements were in French, to much French. Other resorts I stayed out would announce in Spanish and then English for visitors, This one did just French. Food was good and place was kept very clean. I would suggest leaving silverware wrapped in napkins and letting people pick them up at the buffets. Saw birds flying around and running across tables sat with napkins and silverware."

"We liked this resort, found plenty to eat. There was a little confution on which side we were supposed to be on but ended up better than we planned. We had a free upgrade to privalaged for the whole 10 days.
Workers and staff were very plesant and eager to please. Food was pretty good for the most part. Plenty of restraunts to pick from. The pool restraunt employees were fantastic! Pool bar was fantastic! Loved the Japanese restraunt. Don't really have any complaints on the restruants. Our maid was very creative! Did a wonderful job. Always had towels and all the extra's.
I was a little disappointed to find out someone that checks rooms before she comes in and drops of the papers that tell about the 'Meet the staff night' was stealing some of her tips. We usually get up and were out and about for most of the day.
Ocean was warm and clear most of our trip which was 10 days. Huge beach..loved it. Took out the cateraman several times.. it was fun. Did the dune buggies tour... loved it too!!! Our friends did the Segway tour and said it was a blast. If you call the front desk they will send a golf cart down to pick you up at your room if you like. When you want to go back, just stand at the enterance. (Our room was near the beach and pool which was far from the casino and some of the restruants. They brought us drinks on the beach. If you wanted more alchohol, just ask, they will fix you right up!
After 3rd night. Air conditioner quit working. We called front desk and they sent someone up right away. He fixed it and it worked for a day. Called again and they came back again. Fixed it. Then quite again. After third call they told us they would switch our rooms if we liked but they fixed it and it worked great the rest of the time.

I would go back again. I would recommend this hotel. Didn't have any of the issues that I saw on here before I left. Loved the robe and slippers in my room!"

"This resort was very lively!! Loved the constant music and activities on the beach, at the pool, at the amphitheatre and lounge area. Grounds were beautiful.
Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Lots of food and good choices.

We did encounter problems repeatedly with our room cards to enter the room.
They were re-programmed several times and still did not work properly.

I think garbage cans were too small in the room. The toilet-shower area was very small.

All in all, we enjoyed our stay. Dominican Republic people are fantastico!!!"

"This was the worst vacation of our lives. My husband and I went for Memorial Day weeken. The following outlines why we feel this way and want to make sure nobody makes the same mistake we did. What a waste of money.rnrnCustomer ServicernWhen we checked in, the staff was not friendly to us. We checked into our room to find the air conditioning didn't work. We called several times and nobody showed up. We spent the first night in a hot room over 85 degrees. The second day they moved us to another room that was supposedly an 'upgrade' however it was even hotter than the previous room and once again they said someone would come to fix the A/C and nobody showed up. There were several other instances where the hotel staff would walk away from us in mid sentence like we didn't exist and wouldn't even answer our questions. We ordered room service and several times nobody even showed up to deliver our food. We had to call back and remind them that we were still waiting. rnrnFoodrnThe food was absolutely terrible. It was the worst food I've ever eaten in my life. My husband and I tried to go to one of the special restaurants, but had no luck getting in as they were already booked. They also said that they had a 24 hour snack bar. Every time we went, it was closed, so we aren't sure what the 24 hours meant. The beer tasted like metal. They needed to clean their taps. We literally ate pizza, chicken, terrible cheeseburgers and french fries for 4 days. rnrnCleanlinessrnOur room smelled like mold. It has a terrible smell and was very uncomfortable to sleep in. The bar area smelled like vomit. Every time we walked by the pool bar we had to smell that terrible smell. Our room was dirty and needs renovation.rnrnAttirer In addition, men had to wear close toe shoes and jeans or dress pants every night to dinner. This was never mentioned to us. I'm not sure about all of you, but when it is 85 degrees and muggy outside, the last thing my husband wanted to do was wear long pants. We also had to wear a wrist band for 4 days straight. This is how they said they knew we were part of the hotel. You also couldn't visit the casino without long pants and close toed shoes.rnrnShowsr"

"We absolutely had a wonderful time at this resort. We just got back a couple days ago. The staff was very friendly, the food was excellent, and the entertainment was good. The Steakhouse and Italian restaurants were the best. The Japanese was not very good compared to the Japanese restaurants we have here in the states. The food was quite bland. But no reservations are required for any of the restaurants. It is true that the men are required to wear long pants (like someone previously said); however, that can be jeans! It is not uncommon for the restaurants to require more clothes than beach wear. The buffet was also delicious and HUGE. There were so many options. nThe beach was wonderful. The sand was soft and the water was clear. There were plenty of huts available at the pool and the beach to provide shade when we needed it. The beach party is on Tuesday nights and it is an absolute BLAST!!! nWe will definitely be coming back again and I would recommend this resort to everyone! My friend even won $940 at the casino!!!!!"
