My vacation was terrible my daughter and I was sick the whole time. We both had severe diarrhea and nauseousness for days. Yes the property is beautiful and is well kept but the service and the workers a very rude. If you don't speak Spanish the workers don't want to be bother with your questions. My 1st day at the resort was very unpleasant, my daughter and I didn't have hot water for 2 days and no TV. On our 4th day we had to move from our room because the ceiling was leaking and when I called... Read more

This resort is pretty great. The grand entry to the beach, everything is worth the price. We wanted to stay somewhere new and this made us feel like we found the exact right place to relax and get away. You can make reservations at the restaurants and view all of the property amenities pretty easily. Negotiate your prices for excursions. They are worth going, but the companies that sell them always start extremely high. Even though tips are included in the all-inclusive, tip anyway it'll get yo... Read more

Excellent property, very well maintain and beautiful. Beach is OK, but not great. Food is excellent, specially the 'French Restaurant' and 'El Pescador Seafood Restaurant'. Animation the entire day was fun and friendly. The chef at Las Olas was very helpful and accommodated our needs for a 2 years old, talking about a two years old, special thanks to the persons who assisted and went out the normal to help us with our baby. In general all the personnel there, is very helpful and extra friendly. ... Read more

I went to this Hotel June 2015 with a couple friend of ours. It was their first trip to Dominican Republic and to an All Inclusive Hotel. The hotel is super clean and gardens are beautifully manicured. When we arrived we were greeted on the VIP lounge as I had upgraded the rooms for ocean view. All rooms are Junior Suite so the upgrade is really to be closer to the beach and have beach view. On the VIP lounge we were greeted with cocktails and the ckin was very easy and friendly. Staff is extrem... Read more

We have stayed at Bahia Principal because we liked Bahia in Mexico last year. 2 adults, 3 kids. Stayed there from 5-15-15 till 5-19-15. Big big disappointment, huge. The only thing in common with the two hotels is their name. We purchased a so-called Golden Club membership. We got nothing listed in that membership, from internet connection to 'international newspaper' (this thing does not even exist). On a good side, in the Club, we were able to use a coffee machine (the two others in the lobby... Read more

Grand Bahia is a less then average hotel. I booked for ten couples . We all have our stories non of them positive. First we couldn't up grade to the Don Pablo section because they said it was full and we were willing to pay the extra fee. Place was empty though out our stay. Lights went out 3x with nice weather. If u stay for 5 nights your only allowed to visit 2 restaurant (really).Your Greeted With 2 beers in ur fridge all week as ur minibar. Drinks are horrible, worst well drinks ever. U pay ... Read more
