"I have read many reviews about this resort and can not believe that people would say this is a world class resort. Let me start with the positives....The beach was awesome, if you are looking for beautiful water then this is the place to go. They have a man made coral reef about 30yards from the beach line and if you swim out you will see many fish waiting for you to feed them bread. Pretty cool. That is about all I can say positive about the place. Let me talk about the negative...This place only receives 4% American tourist, and therefore only 4% of the property speaks English making it nearly impossible to relay your needs to the management. Tipping does not do much either as they were rolling their eyes at us when we did tip to try and get better service. Another issue is when you go to the property they try to get you to buy another dinner that they do not serve to normal patrons, this was tough for me to think about since we did just pay to come to the resort. Another thing I did not enjoy was the segregation that is going on within the property. They have what is called the Vera club, this is meant for only Italians on the property and if you are not Italian you are not welcome. Another gripe I had is when by the pool or doing the entertainment at night they did not speak English only Spanish, French or Italian so you were left out not knowing what was going on. Finally let me talk about the rooms....They had ants everyday that the front desk would not fix, bedbugs, and cockroaches all over the property. The room did not come with an alarm clock so we had to call down to the front desk for a wake up call but even then, they did not wake us up with a call. Before I would go here I would I would probably look at Dreams which is only two buildings down. I was told they did not have the same experience. I wish I had good things to say..but I do not. Save your money and go somewhere nicer."

"The hotel is located in one of the most beautiful beaches in the Dominican Republic. Nice stretch of great sand to walk for hours.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable. TV and cable are a little old with poor reception, but who goes to the beach to watch tv?
We only used the buffet restaurant, which had a nice variety of food. The service was a little slow for the drinks at the tables but nothing horrible.
The restaurant is divided into smoking and non-smoking so make sure you use the right section. You are free to sit wherever you want for breakfast and lunch. Make sure you tell the hostess, for dinner to sit you in a non-smoking section if you don't smoke, otherwise be prepared to eat and inhale all the second hand smoke in the world.
People should not be allowed to smoke in the restaurants. Horrible.
Other than that, we had a great 4 days at this hotel. Not five stars, but good enough to have a great vacation, for a good price."

"Just went in August with the entire family of 14. Hotel Rooms need some upgrading but nothing major. Normal wearand tear. Food was good. They have a Japanese Restaurant Delicious. The staff is wonderful. They went out of thier way to accomadate our big group. They knew us by name and made the experience pleasant. I would definitely recommend and return"

"Amazing beach! Great people, amazing people. The rooms are about 3 starts, hotel grounds are great about 4.5 stars, food is about 3 stars. If you guys are planing to go for a short trip go!
